This school is easy to get to and the design of the school is nice. They have a little garden area and their security upfront is nice and efficient. No "prison" feel from this school. read more

She always keeps me up to date with his progress and any issues. She is easy to talk to and every time I have had a question regarding my sons grade, hw or behavior she takes the time to answer my question at the door entrance and doesn't make me request a conference. In the beginning of the school year he had a little issue with his tummy and she always accommodated him and made him feel comfortable. We also don't celebrate many holidays and she was always very respectful about our belief's and never made my child feel odd or singled out. My son loves her! From the beginning of the school year up until now I saw a major improvement in his reading skills in both English and Spanish. If your child starts kinder here I hope you get her as a teacher-her class even had the most students win the reading trophy at the end of the school year!

Some have no choice but to keep taking the children in order to work. Just one word to the CEO if it weren't for parents you would not have this job. I had to call them on the day of the interview, only to receive a message from the secretary that the principal was in a meeting. I told the secretary the time the principal could call me back. The principal did not respect the time I requested and instead started harassing me by text message. I had to take screenshots of my email just to prove that she never sent me a Zoom link. She refused to use Indeed to contact me; as you can see from my messages, she never once contacted me through the platform. She bypassed Indeed and contacted me directly. Like I said, this principal was so rude. She couldn't accept that she messed up. She sent me a screenshot of her email claiming she had sent me the Zoom link. I looked at the screenshot and called her out because the timestamp on the email was much later than the appointment time. Yet, she still claimed she had sent it on time, even though her own screenshot proved otherwise. So, I told her that maybe she just forgot to press the send button--it happens. That made her so mad as she tried desperately to prove she was right and I was wrong. Finally, I told her I was no longer interested in the job because I couldn't work with such an unprofessional administrator. Then, she wrote in all caps, "THANK YOU." I replied, "I can see why the science teacher quit." She got angry and started writing nonsense, so I told her I was blocking her and spam-blocked her number.

As a…read morerecent graduate, he leaves with a strong academic foundation, a deeper faith, and the character to succeed in life. From the admissions office and security team to his teachers, coaches, administrators, and staff, everyone genuinely cared about his success and well-being. They invested in him as a person, not just a student. What makes Dade Christian School stand out is its commitment to developing the whole student. Along with academic excellence, the school reinforces biblical values and encourages students to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Watching our son graduate was a proud milestone, and we are thankful for the lasting impact Dade Christian School has had on his life. We highly recommend Dade Christian School to any family seeking a Christ-centered education where students are known, loved, and encouraged to reach their God-given potential.

Dade Christian offers not only academic excellence and a strong curriculum, but most importantly, it teaches our children the Word of God and encourages them to place their trust in our Savior, Jesus Christ. In today's world, it is so important for the next generation to grow up in a caring, nurturing, and faith-filled environment. We appreciate that the school teaches our daughters strong Christian values and reminds them that success in this life is important, but our eternal life with Christ is even greater. We are incredibly thankful for the teachers, staff, and Christian foundation that Dade Christian provides.

The first place your child will be singled out and experience discrimination is at school by Barbara Picazo. She has consistently demonstrated this behavior, she has biases and preferences towards students and she will target young boys of color. Considering the current state of the world, one would think that a catholic school and archdiocese would hire faculty that create a safe space for our children. It's been quite the opposite with BarbaraPicazo. Also - did anyone else notice that she is the person with the most complaints on these reviews? This pattern speaks for itself. What a shame!

My son…read morehas been going to this school now for two years and I couldn't be more happier with my son's turnout. From the administration to the students, this school is a family environment! The administration staff (principal included) is very hands on and knows all of their students! The principal is out front and present in every setting. She is the first one there and the last to leave on many occasions. She's out front in the morning to welcome your kids to school at drop off and makes sure they get to class. If you need to drop your child off earlier and she is present, she will bring your kids in the office with her. I know because my son sometimes has to get to school early before 7:30 (drop-off time). She is a principal that cares and shows up! And that is important because I know some schools where the principal gets to school just before the bell rings. My first year at this school, I was so amazed at how nice and polite the students were! And I am talking about the 8th graders too! They welcomed my son and took him under their wing and looked out for all of the little ones. The teaching staff is great as well. My son has been blessed with an amazing teacher both years. She understands his struggles and is very patient with him to the point where this year he is functioning very well. This school allows therapists on campus granted they provide the proper documentation. I have never had any issues with having my son's therapist come to his class. The PTO committee is great as well. They host a lot of events for the kids and the principal is apart of that as well. Parents have to complete at minimum 25 volunteer hours. I think this is great because it forces the parents to be involved. Often times parents don't participate in the school functions besides what they have to but with these hours you get to be hands-on and have your kids see you involved with the school administration and other parents. I could go on and on about this school. I mean I really could. But i think it best that you give this school a try for yourself. Call the school, plan a visit and experience this hidden gem!

The quality of teachers, assistants and administration at this school are fantastic. This school is family owned and managed but a fantastic family of educators that are passionate about educating young children. They continue to think about what the children and our family need and bring great ideas and solutions to continue to strive for greatness for our children. For example, this year they invited both a occupational and physical therapists to help assess our kids (optional) and work closely with our teachers so they can help our kids and manage any development items as a team. They continue to add music, physical education and even Spanish classes provided by other educators. The curriculum is great and is focused on themes, after each theme (month-2 months), there is a celebration and families are invited to participate. This shows our children to have a sense of great pride in their work. My son attended a Montessori school prior to VCA and I did like that VCA had some Montessori like set up that helps children build their independence. Also, my son attended VPK and VCA follows the Florida VPK curriculum. His teacher did meet with me 3 times in that year to share his testing results and thoroughly discuss their development, this helped to show the growth he had from the beginning, middle and end of the year and showed his readiness for Kindergarten! I'm confident that VCA helped him prepare for his Kindergarten year. VCA also learns through play. My children have always loved to attend school. All educators, even outside of my children's assigned class, know my children by name and are very professional. The communication is fantastic, you can always reach someone in the office. The app the teacher uses keeps us engaged on what the children are learning as well as another form of communication directly into the classroom teachers/assistants. You are always greeted everyday with a welcoming smile. We'll miss our VCA family as our second child wraps up her last year at VCA. We'll continue to recommend this great school to our friends and family and we will always cherish these early memories we had here. Thank you so much for loving and developing our children.
