I enrolled my son at BridgePrep Academy on 137th Ave. in Kendall with high hopes, but our…read moreexperience was deeply disappointing. Within the first week, a young girl in my son's first-grade class began threatening him and our family, saying she would kill him, me, and his father. When I addressed this with the school, I was shocked to learn that the teacher was aware of these threats but failed to report them or take action. I brought the issue to the assistant principal multiple times--not once, not twice, but at least three times--with my husband to discuss the growing concerns. Unfortunately, we never saw any sense of urgency in how the school handled the situation. Even though this was a clear threat, the administration seemed more focused on minimizing the situation rather than ensuring my son's safety. Eventually, the girl was moved to another class, but not before my son endured additional stress and fear. Shortly after, my son began coming home with bruises, explaining that other students were hitting and bullying him. When I raised this with the school, they brought in the school officer and seemed more focused on my son defending himself than addressing the root issue: other kids initiating physical altercations. As a parent, I understand the need to give grace to children, but when violence and bullying are involved, disciplinary action must be taken swiftly to protect all students. The school's failure to discipline the aggressors adequately, or to assure us that such incidents wouldn't happen again, was deeply concerning. At a charter school, I also understand their inability to share the specifics of the actions they took with other children, but there was no transparency or reassurance that these behaviors were being addressed seriously. Honestly, my son is too young to be dealing with violence in a school environment, and BridgePrep Academy should be ashamed of their failure to create a safe space for their students. I feel strongly that steps could have been taken early on to prevent the escalation of these incidents, but the administration repeatedly dropped the ball. Since moving my son to Norma Butler, I've seen a remarkable difference. He is thriving, there have been no incidents of bullying or physical altercations, and the teachers are proactive and communicative. I wouldn't recommend BridgePrep Academy to anyone. If you're facing similar issues, don't hesitate to find a better option for your child--it's worth it.

The school provides additional help if you are struggling to catch up with the class or obtain the information that is given. The students of the school are also friendly which helps you when you are leaving middle school and entering the "BIG" and "SCARY" stage of high school. Honestly i was nervous coming into the school but once i realized that the current students and staff are helpful and understanding which helped release a tad bit of stress on my part. Honestly this is a very outstanding high school. It provides many opportunities while you are in each grade level and even when your are out of school. The biggest thing that i love in this school is that your able to talk to all of the administration with no problem. Usually in most large/regular high schools you are not able to talk to the principal or assistant principal. But at Law Enforcement Officers Memorial High School the administration is able to see you and check up on you everyday. I am so glad that i got accepted into this school and i hope that everyone has the same experience as i did.

I understand now the turnover on administration the Principal especially. When you have an administrator not even look at you in the eye when he speaks it tells you something right there. The Integrity, Respect, and Loyalty to me is not there. I believe a school is there not only to support education but also support the students and it doe nothing of the sort. This is suppose to be an exclusive school for the best select but unfortunately the way this school is being administered is less than satisfactory. This school is perfect if a parent want to Mentally anguish their child. this school is not that it is said to be at all. I must say the Assistant principal is somewhat helpful but other that this school lacks everything it says it is. The way this school is by the time the student graduates will be so burned mentally that they will not want to do anything else.

They say you have to wait for your teachers, but the teachers are always late. They won't even let you go for an emergency. They're always talking about bullying, yet they do it themselves. Some teachers are just awful. They won't let you use the bathroom even if it's an emergency. TLN My son went to…read morethe Learning Nest for the last 4 years and this period will forever go into my books as one of the fondest memories of our lives. My son was one of the first students to attend the Learning Nest and we are proud to have been part of founding a loving community. We have built lifelong friendships with other families and for that we are forever grateful. From infant to toddler to young boy, the Learning Nest was part of our family and we shared so many milestones together. We learned to speak, to articulate mind and body, to socialize, we potty trained, learned how to use fork and knife, respect others and be kind and mindful in all we do. All of the teachers at TLN are highly educated and qualified. The facility is always super super clean. And most importantly, the kids are cared for. There is a lot of individual attention that each student gets and all staff is always open and available to communicate. TLN was the absolute best decision for my son and introducing him to navigating society. I highly recommend this preschool for its dedication and excellence in preparing infants and toddlers to take on the world.

Unfortunately, the ownership and management are very disappointing and overshadow the positives. Activities get canceled (such as music) with no communication to parents. There is constant penny-pinching -- parents are repeatedly given long shopping lists (30+ items) for small things like napkins and supplies, even when bringing food. Costs go up every year, yet services and activities continue to be reduced. When concerns are raised, Ms. Meybis shows little interest in resolving them. Each complaint is met with the same reaction, and no real action is ever taken. It's frustrating to see tuition increase while the quality and offerings decrease year after year. Because of this, we ultimately chose to leave. I would strongly recommend parents look elsewhere -- Kinuvu on 22nd is a much better option.

Ok,so this is the second year my kid is in this school. When…read morewe we're looking for a preschool for our toddler we initially wanted a Montessori as it was highly recommended by few friends.Anyway the school was already booked for the next year. We did a tour and liked a school, and we were pretty satisfied with a year our two year old completed here. We decided to continue, but this year is a different story. Actually a friend of mine whose kid was in different class, pulled her kid before this school year, pointing out that school has some issues. I don't know if that's because the director changed or the school run out of money, but activities became so limited. Most of the days kids just doing coloring and painting, not much of diverse materials are used even though you pay for it.Last year was much better regarding this.Curriculum missing some creativity. This year there have been zero field trips even though they were promised. Instead of taking kids to a museum tour as a field trip, they invite you(it's optional activity)to bring your kids on the weekend for a museum tour and charge you like 60$ per ticket.Ridiculous. Christmas party that was planned for a while was basically a bounce house. Other important thing, they are short on staff. The pictures of daily kids activities are posted on the app not very often. For that I don't blame the teacher(my kid teacher is great by the way, knowledgeable, passionate and caring and we really like her),but she is by herself most of the times so obviously can't do everything. On the good note, the school is very clean, super safe, everyone is friendly, the atmosphere is great, front desk ladies are amazing, very communicative and always there for any questions, ready to help you out with a smile. My kid's teacher is amazing as well, she pours all of her heart in care for the children. So to conclude they should invest more (financially and academically)to make a better experience for the children.

Unfortunately we are moving to another city and honestly, the saddest part for me has been withdrawing my son from BIA. I love how involved parents can be (I sure was!) and the learning environment is fantastic. My son and I have nothing but great memories to take with us from BIA and can only hope that his next preschool is remotely close to how awesome BIA is. Thank you so much BIA for absolutely everything! I will recommend them always!
