Megan Cusack and her team are fantastic. I have owned animals all my life and Megan is the stand out for me when it comes to sharing knowledge with owners and advocating for every animal in her care. I first contacted Megan looking for a vet to come to my home and euthanize my dear dog Jack who experienced a sharp decline in health and was suffering terribly. Megan was amazing in her compassion and professionalism with me as an owner and for Jack who as my friend and companion for 10 years was in such sudden poor condition. I'm sure any other vet would have done the deed there and then. Megan however worked hard and successfully to bring Jack back to health and discover the cause of her condition. I cannot say how much I appreciated Megan's outlook and support over this time. As a result I had five more months with Jack in almost rude health even though we came to know she was up against melanoma and would need to be euthanized at the right time. In Jan 2014 I was able to take Jack into Megan while she was happy and strong but signalling time was up (by not eating or drinking in her last 24 hours). Jackie was put to sleep in a warm and friendly atmosphere, at her full weight, with a glossy coat, a smile on her dial and with her dear ones at her side. Vale Jack. Thank you Megan. read more

The West End Veterinary Surgery is fantastic. The vet, Megan Cusack is by far the best vet I have ever met. She is knowledgeable, experienced and has an unrivaled amount of enthusiasm and compassion for animals and their owners. Over the past year my partner and I have been impressed by how diligent Megan is. She has never once patronized us and has always taken the time to explain the problem, the underlying issue and the available treatments, making sure we understand why she has recommended them as well as the associated risks and the benefits of each option. What really endears her to us, is that she always applies this level of energy and diligence to all issues. Whether she's pulling up YouTube videos to show us what indoor cats get up to when we're asleep or showing us how to make cardboard cat towers she always goes out of her way to provide us with the knowledge to be better pet owners. The prices are reasonable, the service is amazing and the facilities are top notch. As far as I'm concerned this place is one of the gems of West End. read more

We took our cat here for the first time today and walked out so happy! This is by far the best vet we've been to in Brisbane. Dr. Megan (The owner), is really great with animals and even better with people - incredibly personable and friendly and provides really great advise on treating things yourself, not at all pushing you to take your animal back to the vet at the first sign of anything. All costs are very clearly explained and you don't feel pushed into anything. All in all, it's a very reasonably priced Vet Clinic - the most affordable we've been to in and around East Brisbane. This is a wonderful veterinary practice. Megan is incredibly, fun, and very knowledgable. She makes your pet feel cared for while providing owners with a wealth of information. We brought our new calico kitten to her and Megan managed to keep the calico calm during tests/needles but with some play as well. And while she was doing that, she also gave detailed advice on introducing the kitten to our adult cat. The prices are very reasonable, far more so than many Western suburbs vets. We will certainly be bringing our kitten back and our adult cat to Megan as well. read more

I go to this vet because she gives my pet excellent attention and explains things to me so I understand the treatment my pet needs. If I wanted a mundane social conversation I would go to the hair dresser and not a vet. Nice to have one that does not think I can't understand her. Prices are very reasonable and my cat comes back from boarding here very happy and not at all distressed. read more

I have taking my cat "Freya" to her a for a number of years and she has received excellent care and I have always been provided with comprehensive advice on how to look after my cat. read more

Dr Megan Cusack is the most knowledgable, passionate, hard working and kind vet I have come across. She has provided excellent care to our animals and to the rescued wildlife of West End.
