Kolot Chayeinu is a friendly, learned, open-hearted, and wonderful synagogue that values diversity, justice and peace for everyone -- shalom bayit in our homes and in our world-as-home. If I ever return to live in NYC, I would definitely join this community.

If you are not a member of a Jewish synagogue, attending Rosh Hashonah and Yom Kippur services can be a challenge. Some temples are open only to members and others sell tickets to non-members. One congregation, Kolot Chayeinu, which meets in Park Slope, has always welcomed non-members to their services, at no cost, to a great response--standing room only at most services. To accommodate demand this year Kolot has added extra evening services for both High Holy Day evenings, September 28 and October 7th. Kolot welcomes people from across the spectrum of Jewish observance to attend these services. Here is their notice: Kolot Chayeinu/Voices of Our Lives welcomes one and all to its open High Holy Day services in Park Slope. You don't need tickets and attendance is free, although donations are encouraged. For the first time in our 18-year history, we will have two evening services to accommodate as many people as possible. There will be more room at the earlier services.
