Be careful and follow instructions to wrap batteries separately/individually in plastic before dropping them off. Surprisingly the library also has a Kilowatt usage measuring device that you can checkout/rent to understand and see electricity usage for devices/home goods/etc. The cafe in the back (which carries limited snacks and drinks) has plenty of indoor and patio seating. The "Friends of the Library" self-service book sales shelf (honor system) is in the far corner of the same cafe. Their regular bookstore/donation center is next to the restrooms on your right as you enter.

Don't get me wrong, I still like a physical book or magazine rather than an electronic version, but have adapted to both now. Available at this location: Books, movies, magazines, etc. And of course ebooks, streaming, etc. Many community programs, tax services, park passes, see website. Atmosphere - Small local community library, VERY kid friendly. Plenty of amenities inside and outside. Alameda Recreation Center next door, so even more kid friendly. Playground, softball, baseball field, basketball & tennis courts, etc. Safeway for all your food needs. Plenty of parking. Free wifi. Open 5 days a week, see picture or website. Closed Friday and Sundays, don't ask me why? Service - Always good and supportive. Price - Free, thank you. Owner Comment - Thanks for the free local community library.
