I visited the West Dublin/Pleasanton BART station for the first time on Sunday, 1/7/24, around 11:30 AM. I usually go to Dublin/Pleasanton BART station (1st of the train line) but decided to come here instead for a change. It was convenient to do the West station because my itinerary had one less stop versus if I had gone to the other location. This BART station was nice. It was very quiet and chill. The scenery around was enjoyable to see. The bathroom was well-maintained and clean. The parking situation was accessible, especially with the readily available spaces on the first floor. I will continue to come to this particular BART station moving forward.

So came here due to wanting to go to Stoneridge shopping center, so wasted $6.45 each way in doing so. Bartable gave me false information about Stoneridge. So after spending an hour there I remember there was an REI and Target on the other side. And so there were and off I went for a walk. Thought Toys R Us was opened too until I seen they were just too lazy to remove the signage.

Well... it is a Bart station, so if your from the SF/Bay Area you know what I mean. Bart opened this 'infill' station in 2011, and at the time, I recently moved from East Dublin to West Dublin and was kinda confused on why they would be building another Dublin/Pleasanton station. Fast forward a few years, and it was an amazing decision on Bart's part. Its WAY more convent for West Dubliners than going all the way to the end of the line, Dublin/Pleasanton station. On the safety scale, it one of the safest stations in the whole Bart system. As Sean M. said, "the stabiness level is low", which is hilarious and absolutely true. Its always clean, and being near the end of the line, you can always find a seat on the train going into the city. The location is spot on and easy to get to. Right off of Dublin Blvd. (Dublin side), and right across the street from the Stoneridge Mall (P-Town side). Parking is generally good, but it is a Bart station so its kinda a pain to find a spot. You can arrive, circle the parking garage, then eventually come to the conclusion that there are no spots and end up parking at Toys R Us or by Marshalls and where OSH used to be, then run to get to the train. Trains run every 15 minutes, so if you just miss it, you weren't late, you are just really early for the next one! (Heard that from a train operator one time) Its happened to me a bunch of times, and it won't be the last. As for the whole line, its kinda inconvenient coming from Pleasant Hill, where I go to school. I have taken Bart home from there multiple times, and you do have to transfer twice, 12th Street Oakland and Lake Merritt. Which is easy since the train you need is always right after the one you get off of, and if there are no delays. To the city is easy, as the train goes all the way to Daily City, where you can get to SFO. I have been taking Bart pretty much since I was born and I have been through the days of the carpet floor cars, wool seats, and now the nice vinyl seats and floor. We are getting the new cars soon, but will really miss the old cars, even though they always break down and cause delays for the whole system to suffer from. I do love Bart through, don't get me wrong!

    Gotta love an empty car!

I mean it's a BART station. Not sure how to assess so I figured stabiness, urine smell level, users, punctuality. Most importantly, the stabiness level is low. It's probably one of the safest stations I've been to. It is pretty clean. On a urine smell level of 5, it's a 1 at most. You hop the train outside in the middle of the highway, so you get the joy of breathing carbon monoxide from passing cars as opposed to being stuck in an undeeground station. Given the stabiness level is low, you could defer that the population here is a notch up. And it is. Mostly professional people or during a sporting event, some families on the way to a game. It is the beginning of the route, so it is pretty much always punctual and often there a few minutes early so you can hop on in the morning and get out of the weather for a few minutes before taking off.

A fine BART station. You'll have a better chance to find a place to park after 9am at this station than at the other Dublin station. I also think this station is also easier to pick up people from. If you haven't been to Dublin before both stations are in safe areas and near shopping.

The station is excellent and placed in a good area and much better compared to East Station. It's pretty easy to get to the shopping mall.

This isn't about the station, but about the actual bart. Why the hell isn't there AC in here? Hotter than a Mofo in here

The coliseum is an actual stop and Bart will save you time and money especially now that the parking at the coliseum is up to $30. The trains ride smooth and it's nice to have a view rather than being stuck behind the wheel of your car fighting with traffic. Plus Bart makes it from Dublin/Pleasanton to the coliseum in roughly 25 minutes. You will not be able to do that in a car. Parking at Bart is free on weekends and apparently on weekdays after 3pm. Tickets for our group, myself and my two kids came out to roughly $17.00. You can barely beat that in gas if you were to drive yourself. I enjoyed talking Bart and I know my kids were thrilled to ride a "train." I recommend Bart to anyone heading to the A's or further down the line.

OK, that might be a lie, as I may have done a focus-group type thing in Dublin at one point, but that doesn't count. Anyway, I consider myself lucky never to have experienced the wonder that is either of these ridiculous Bay Area suburbs. How do I know they're ridiculous without ever having been to either? Well, that's quite a conundrum, because I'm unlikely to ever visit either and, therefore, unlikely to ever change my mind. If it's any consolation to your offended Dublin/Pleasanton pride, your chain stores look, um, nice from the freeway. OK, they look like every other visible-from-the-freeway chain stores I've ever seen. And this makes them, exciting. I think? Why am I going on about Dublin/Pleasanton in a review of the Dublin/Pleasanton-Daly City Line? Well, because I can. And unless the BART station does somehow straddle the border between the two cities, it's stupid that it's got a slashed name to begin with. It's probably either in Dublin or Pleasanton. The line itself is OK. I've never ridden it farther than Bay Fair, so I can't really contrast it with the Fremont-Daly City Line. It's gotten me (most of the way) to Oakland International Airport and back on many occasions. Hm, what else to say? I think I'm excited about the new West Dublin station, although it will also ridiculously be called the West Dublin/Pleasanton Station. Seriously, can't we just give each city its own BART station and be done with this / garbage?
