Over that time my partner took his own vehicles there and when I moved in with my partner, I began taking my own vehicles there as well. Over the years we felt so looked after by what we felt was a trustworthy, honest firm. We recommended them to anyone who wanted a new garage and even recommended them for car sales. On occasion, they were only too happy to take a look at the odd thing here and there - suspected punctures, insurance write offs, engine lights - without asking so much as a penny. We had a brilliant relationship with the company and felt so comfortable with them having used them fo such a long time. They've had thousands of pounds from our family and up until recently, it was money well spent across the 10+ cars of ours that we've owned across the three of us. In 2019 we moved away from Bicknacre and so did Paul Bailey. Sarah Kent appeared to have left and it became quite clear that something was up. My partner continued to take his vehicles to paul bailey but I had decided it was too much of a journey when the service was nowhere near the level it was before. My partner took one of his vehicles to another garage who pointed out that something had failed which paul bailey had fitted only two years ago - this should not have failed so soon and it transpired that paul bailey replaced it with a non genuine part without telling him. He called Paul bailey and the response he received was definitely unexpected; rather abruptly he was told 'I'm not fixing it for free' - definitely not what he was asking for. It was quite clear that the company has lost sight of customer care and as a result we have made the decision to no longer use them. If you decide to use this company, beware. If they continue to trade off of the solid reputation of Paul himself then don't expect them to have the same service and customer focus. Hugely disappointing.

I bought a car on 1st August (ford fiesta) and had problems from day 1 - they gave me a clear MOT…read moreinspite of ruined break pads (which was mentioned as advisory in earlier MOT and wasn't replaced before sale). I had to literally visit the garage 5 times to get this issue resolved. When I collected my car after repair - the rear bumper and body has BIG SCUFF AND DENTS. Ashburton service centre bluntly refused to repair this and said that "cars are always parked on the street after repair and they don't take responsibility for what happens to the car on the street". I quote their exact words "For every car that we repair and park on street, if we started fixing the dents caused while they were parked outside our garage, we would go out of business". I have complained to motorcodes - case ID is 20515. I will complain to VOSA for providing incorrect MOT just for selling the car and I'm in discussion with a solicitor to raise a case in small claims court. AVOID THEM - they sell bad quality cars, bad quality repairs and don't take responsibility for safety of cars in their possession.
