I've been a patient of Dr Steven Bailey for about a year…read more He can be testy at times. On July 25, 2019 I asked him what's the next step and he snaps back 'As I already told you ...'. I replied 'OK Dr. Bailey'. I dismissed his bad demeanor as having a bad day. On August 12, 2019 I called to ask for address of surgery facility per their office protocol they are not supposed to give out surgery address. All pertinent information would be given out at preop appointment. I felt it's my call to decide if I want to know where surgery will take place and demanded to know facility: 1390 E Yosemite Ave. Today is August 20, 2019 and drove to 1390 E Yosemite Ave only to be told that's the surgery center. Why in the heck didn't the front office staff at 700 W Olive confirm pre op appointment is at 700 Olive not Surgicenter at 1390 E Yosemite Ave. I drove to 700 W Olive and voiced my concerns to both office staff and Dr Bailey directly. Dr Bailey said I misunderstood. I told Dr Bailey his staff has poor communication, don't confirm understanding and offer no transparency in procedures and next steps. I assured Dr Bailey he would be paid for today's pre op appointment but I'll have surgery done elsewhere.

I went here eight months ago and saw Dr. Huish. He ran some tool around my two big toe nails and sent me off, no follow up appointment or nothing. For a very short time my pain subsided but didn't go away. Went back yesterday and saw Dr. Bailey and he gave me my options. He ground down my toe nails and then cut them and I had almost instant relief. He was friendly and professional. The girl that works the front desk lacks a pleasant and friendly personality but the nurse that came into the room was pleasant.

I was then…read morereferred over to Matthew. instead of waiting two hours like I did at my normal doctors office he was able to take me in immediately. He was very patient with me while my toe took forever to numb up and I appreciated it greatly. The actual procedure must've taken maybe 5 to 10 minutes and I was out the door. I am very happy with the care that I received and would highly recommend to anyone especially seeing as I was in a great deal of pain.

I already went TWICE to get this problem fixed.. all I got was MORE needles in my toe. He said it was growing again.. when he guaranteed the first time that I would NEVER worry about this toe nail again.. Did not like his political views from day one.. told me I didn't need to wear a mask when I was there... BUT I DID anyway...NOW my problem is that 21/2 years after that trauma.. My toe still gets swollen and BLEEDS.. Thanks for all the troubles DR.! Yeah.. the needles wouldn't hurt more than having a baby ( that's what he said to me) except.. that I've never had a baby..so, thanks a lot for that experience!

I called back but got an answering machine, I left a message asking for an appointment. They never called me back. My nails were awful making my shoes uncomfortable. I was tired of messing with them so I bought some nail clippers that I thought would work. Now I cut a chunk outa my toe. Being a diabetic this is not a good thing. I call Merced podiatry the woman said the were booking out to August. Oh she says my referral expires in August. Now I have an appointment on the 23 of July. I won't be making it. I will find another Podiatrist.

I called over an hour ago to get an answer and they told me they would call me back and they never even bothered to call me back. I tried to call back, but of course no answer. I never recieved my phone call back to let me know my answer. I will have to call and ask them. If I keep getting the text we are helping other patients I will just keep calling and calling until I get a hold of someone and finally get my answer. If I have to be put on hold I will tell them no I can't hold anymore. I've been waiting since 3:45 pm for my answer.

My multitudious doctor adventures began when I got paralytic polio in 1953. Just before the…read morevaccine was ready. My mom was an RN who taught in a school of nursing, my dad was a conscientious objector in WW Ii. He wound up serving as a medic. In the years of early. childhood there I was, in several rehab type facilities! Learning to walk with long leg braces and crutches. And in those years as I grew into adolescence I met scores of them. It felt like platoons of doctor soldiers marching in on me. To say such things as, "We'll. be seeing you in surgery tomorrow at 7 a.m." After that I interacted with countless physicians, and possibly scarred a bunch of doctorly egos. I was an awful patient because I so much wanted to be back home, exploring the field, the stream, the small forest on the hill behind our house. For a couple of years it was nothing but swarms of white jackets, PTs and exercise gear. With the occasional visit to the OR again. Hardly ever more outdoors other than getting from one building to another. Now I think of myself as a capable doctor critic. So to me Dr. Samrao is an ok physician. I didn't get a warm sense of caring from him, and maybe that's just him pulling away from his practice as he retires. That will be quite a change for him, in which I wish him well.
