The guy told me I was buying a 2014 Honda Civic but, it was actually a 96 Chevy Cavalier with 250,000 miles.

Oouuff $150 for an oil change…read more Paul scared the crap out of me. I was writing another review while waiting in the lobby and he almost yelled "how's it going?" He is lucky I didn't physically jump out of my seat. Complementary coffee, water and a soda vending machine. Plenty of seating in the lobby . Several cars parked within the main staging area. Bathrooms were clean. Definitely been back since. Thanks guys!

One of the most frustrating and poorly handled service experiences I've had -- especially given the…read moreprice point of this vehicle. I purchased a new 2025 Ram 1500 from this dealership in May of 2025. Within three days, the truck was dead in my driveway and required a battery replacement by the dealer. Since then, my $70,000 truck has been back to this dealership five separate times, totaling well over two months out of service: * 5/28 - Battery replaced (truck dead after purchase) * 6/6 - "Max engine oil level exceeded" warning (dealer could not replicate) * 8/18-8/19 - Check engine light; battery replaced again * 8/25-9/5 - Repeated check engine light; engine bay PDC and ignition switch replaced * 12/3 - Present (4 weeks and counting) - Major transmission and electrical failure while driving hundreds of miles from home. At this price point, I expect both the manufacturer and dealership to go out of their way to make things right when major issues arise. Instead, I've been required to jump through hoops just to secure a basic replacement vehicle -- one that is not even comparable to what I purchased -- while my truck sits out of service for weeks at a time. The handling of rental coverage has been especially disappointing. Despite the vehicle being down for over a month during this visit alone, I was initially told the maximum rental reimbursement was $35/day, which is unrealistic. After extensive follow-up, a higher rental limit was finally approved -- only for me to later receive a voicemail on 12/30 stating the dealership covered just 5 days and that I personally owed $550 immediately. When I contacted the dealership, I was told they would not cover the difference. To be fair, the service team has been helpful in getting my truck into the shop when problems arise, and I appreciate their efforts on that front. However, helpful intake does not replace the need for ownership, advocacy, and resolution when a new vehicle experiences repeated safety-related failures and excessive downtime. I have yet to receive the resolution this situation warrants. A dealership should stand behind its customers when serious problems occur -- especially with a new vehicle at this level -- not leave them without reliable transportation and unexpectedly covering costs that should have been handled from the start. This experience has significantly eroded my trust in this dealership. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing or servicing a vehicle here to consider not just how issues are acknowledged, but how they are ultimately resolved.

I had such a great experience at Lodi Honda, especially working with Jesse and Mel. This was my…read morefirst time getting a new car, and they truly went above and beyond to make the entire process feel easy and stress-free. They took the time to walk me through every step, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt confident in my decision. I never felt pressured, just genuinely supported the whole way through. Mel also went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect after I drove off the lot. I noticed a couple of water spots on the car, and he didn't hesitate to set up a detailing appointment for me right away. That level of care really stood out. I'm so grateful for how well they took care of me. I would absolutely recommend Lodi Honda, and especially Jesse and Mel, to anyone looking for a great car buying experience!

Where do I even begin? I have been a loyal Honda owner my entire life. I believed in Honda's…read morereputation for reliability and stood by the brand--until now. I purchased my vehicle brand new from Honda and had every single service, recall, and repair done at the dealership. Despite doing everything right, my car failed far earlier than it ever should have. This is a well-known issue with 10th-generation Hondas: premature head gasket failure that costs anywhere from $6,000-$7,000 to repair. I've spoken to multiple independent repair shops, and every single one confirmed the same thing--this problem is common. They see these vehicles come in constantly. One shop even said Honda simply isn't what it used to be, especially with newer models. What's most frustrating is that American Honda is fully aware of this defect and yet refuses to issue a recall or provide meaningful assistance. Owners are left holding the bag for an extremely expensive repair on a vehicle that was supposed to be reliable. Before purchasing any Honda, go check the NHTSA website and review the consumer complaints. You'll quickly see the pattern and the major issues repeatedly reported with these vehicles. Do yourself a favor: don't buy a Honda. And if you already own one, seriously consider getting rid of it before you're stuck with this devastating repair bill. Stick with Toyota instead. I will never purchase another Honda again, and I will actively warn others to stay away. Honda's reputation is heading down the same path Kia's did years ago--when no one would touch them until they were forced to offer a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty just to regain consumer trust. I truly hope people start paying attention and stop supporting a company that refuses to take responsibility for known defects

Just purchased a 2026 Equinox and had a great experience with Jake and Reter!…read more They were kind, fair, and very knowledgeable, with no pressure or pushy sales tactics. Jake was communicative beforehand, answered all my questions (and there were a lot!), got us a great deal, and had everything ready for us when we arrived, which made the process quick and easy. Reter was clear and honest in finance with no surprise add-ons. First time I can say I enjoyed buying a car, and I would buy from them again. Thanks, Jake and Reter!

Still going to keep them at a one star. Took my truck here for a service light and oil change…read more While checking in for service was told to leave it, mind you this is our family car. Then popped the hood and said they can't let us leave with it. So we get a shuttle home and about 4/5 hours later finally get a call to go to hertz because they don't loaners. Hertz was close to closing in an hour and pick up was on hold so i had to uber there using my own money to get a rental. At hertz it inform Sanborn Lodi only paid for a $40/45 a day limit giving us a 4.5 seat we have a 8 seater traverse. Our truck was kept from Friday till Tuesday, so using a small car for a family of 8 is a hassle. Another cheap way they don't take care of their customers. Instead of giving the oil change for free for the inconvenience they charged us normal pricing and still had the nerve to ask if they wanted us to pay for a cabin filter 50/70 service. Definitely won't be coming back. So avoid Chevy in Lodi and Tracy now.
