I walked in to at least three other chase banks trying to get help...!No luck, always excuses…read moreHugo, the manager, was very accommodating!!! I've been on the phone for three days trying to set up and appointment with no luck. I finally got through while I was in the parking lot! Hugo said there was no banker there currently, this was the case with at least four different banks. He got on the phone and began navigating the process to help me with a business account going up and beyond the call of duty. Very professional a true people person. If I was the CEO on undercover boss He would be an ideal candidate to move up the ranks spend the money on training and college! I then would go back and show the video of other bankers playing on their phones Google searching shopping etc. and telling me they were too busy and did not have time fire all of them. Thank you Hugo I have several joint accounts with my elderly mother personal accounts and now a new business account.

Chase Capitola to add a beneficiary to account. To ELAYNE CARBAJAL I provided my info. She asked…read morequestions; I answered. There were so many questions; she got to "how much money to you make a year"; I answered. Where do you work.... I asked if all these questions are necessary... her response was defensive, not explanatory. I said, "I understand you're just doing your job; you're doing fine". She asked me again, "Where do you work; I said, "Self employed." She started typing several keyboard punches. I said, "That's a lot of key punches for: 'self-employed'. She replied, "They don't have an option for self employed." I asked her what she is typing. She said 'self employed'. I said that is still a lot of keyboarding you're doing; please read to me what you're typing. She read that she was typing that I'm unwilling to tell her.... I asked to speak with the manager. She came back 5 min later and said the manager just left for lunch. I asked, "What time will she be back." Snarky: "Well, lunches are 30 min. so 30 minutes." I pointed to waiting area and said I'd wait. The manager, KIANU VELA De LUNA, came out while I was sitting and she stood. ELAYNE was standing adjacent to the conversation in the sitting area with us. There was plenty of room for the manager to sit. She could have even invited me into the empty, glass office knowing I was about to complain, but she preferred to hover; her body language, tone of voice from the onset of the conversation was one of power and authority. The conversation was literally going nowhere because the manager was not a listener. I explained that for my bank to hold as much money of mine as they did, I would not want them to say negative things about me. I said I don't even know what more she was typing. KIANY said, "She told me she showed you." My friend and I immediately shook our heads and said no she did not". She briefly turned the screen to show my friend, but I'm in the corner. She didn't show me and why is she showing my friend my account info?????? She didn't say to me "Look" or "Come over here and look". Why didn't she just read it when I asked her to? The manager, KIANY, responds, "She said she showed you and I believe her." I turned to ELAYNE and asked, "Was I able to read what you wrote?" The manager said, "She told me she showed you and I believe her." I said, "I couldn't see it." I asked the manager if she would read it to me or show me, and she said that ELAYNE can do that. I asked if she (the manager) could come with us because I was uncomfortable with just ELAYNE (trust issue). Instead of typing "unwilling" she could have typed "unable". She was defensive and I, as the customer, was uncomfortable with just her. I refused to go into the cubicle with ELAYNE, alone. Instead, I said "Forget about adding a beneficiary to my account; please just delete whatever you have." The manager said in a continual rude tone, "We won't save it so it will be deleted." As I'm still seated, "She walks into the cubicle with ELAYNE, and I just couldn't believe it... she wouldn't walk in with me and her employee but she did just the! It was clearly a matter of power and control the manager had to have. I said under my breath to my friend who was still sitting next to me, "What a bitch". KIANY heard this and orders me out. I ask for wiring instructions and she said you can go somewhere else and get that. I asked if I could withdraw some of my money now and she said no, you can go somewhere else. I told her I was going to report her to her regional, etc... and I left. Interesting, I say a negative thing about her (the truth) quietly to my friend while we're still seated and she's in the cubicle, but she hears it. This is a bank that holds my money? One who last week I met with the other gal discussing moving my Schwab money to invest, because she called me after noticing the amount I had in THAT bank and wanted to talk to me about investing! So, KIANY kept me from my money... told me to go elsewhere (the banks were closing in 20 min), and would not print wire instructions? As a leader, overhearing someone call me a name? Not an issue to me. If she wanted me to stand up and leave, she could have said, "I'd like you to wait outside; I will get you the wire instructions." But KIANY could not bring anything around to a better place; something I was trying to do from the beginning, but that was not her objective. It's just sad she calls herself a manager. I guess I can say what I want about what she is, in this platform. She could have handled this so much better. Instead, she chose to make it a negative situation. I will most definitely be reporting this to her regional, in addition to customer service, CFBP and the OCC. I'm not going to let this go. It was completely unnecessary and a very horrible experience for me. I usually bank at Aptos branch and the manager, Richard and his staff are so amazing! I've been over there for years! I love them. Always smiling and greeting me.
