This company was the third-party company contracted by Pacific Sales in Brea to deliver my ridiculously heavy fridge about a month ago. The two delivery guys were great! Professional, respectful of my home, and paid excellent attention to ensure the fridge was brought into my home carefully and set up perfectly. Five stars for the delivery guys. Pacific Sales explained I would pay the $400 fee directly to the delivery company upon delivery. They accept credit cards. The transaction went through as expected. The one star is because West Coast Appliance just charged my credit card AGAIN for $400, a month later. There are really only two reasons for this. Either this was an intentional, dishonest action, in the hopes the customer wouldn't catch it. Or it was an unintentional, innocent mistake, because the company has inept people/processes where charging a customer twice - a month apart - is possible. The quote already included a $100 mileage fee, but when the team arrived, they demanded another $100 because of steps -- something that should've been disclosed upfront. To make it worse, there was no discount for skipping haul-away service. Overall, it felt like a bait-and-switch experience: high price, poor transparency, and zero flexibility. This company charges too much, and communication is a problem starting with the people answering the phone, to the technicians doing the installation. I bought a Thermador cook top from Pacific Sales, who contracts with West Coast Appliance to do installation. I wouldn't have used this company if it had been my choice. The person they sent to install my cook top told me I needed some plumbing work done before he could install anything. He also told me I'd need to ask for a "vent specialist" when I called them back for the installation after the plumbing work was finished. I assumed they'd send this specialist and I mentioned it when I called the second time. I wasn't given any other phone numbers or names so I think I made an appropriate assumption. When they arrived the second time, the technician told me he couldn't do the install because I hadn't gotten the vent moved and looked at me like I was stupid for not getting that done!? When I asked him who I should have called, he told me that he gave me that information but since I was upset, I probably forgot. I brought back the paperwork he gave me the first time he was at my house which proved he didn't give me the vent information. After some discussion, he finally just did the work himself. It also bothers me that when I called to have these guys come back to complete the install, the guy on the phone just said, "OK" when I asked for a vent guy, leading me to believe that the technician he'd send would know what to do. Again, poor communication. Everything seems to be working fine now, and I'm grateful that it all got done, but I KNOW I paid too much. They charged me almost $1,000 to remove the old stove and install the new one. It was probably only 5 hours worth of work. I purchased a Wolf Double oven from Pacific sales and West Coast was contracted to do the install. The installer said the new cabinets needed to be cut wider 1/4 inch and charged me $90.00. He finished the install and the doors to the ovens were not aligned to the top. He said another company would have to come out and fix it. So Box company came out today and showed me how the install was done incorrectly as the ovens were not level, and adjusting the doors would not fix the issue. Now the ovens need to be pulled out, a shim placed on the bottom to level them out and reinstalled. All because West coast did not do their job correctly. Poor quality to not oven check to see if the install was level. But they were sure quick to charge me the extra $90. I called them and they could care less, poor customer service. read more

I ordered my appliances from Azzari design and they use West coast appliances to do their install. Carlos and his right hand man came by and did a great job bringing in our appliances. We ordered a washer, dryer, range, hood, refrigerator, and a microwave. The entrance to my home has a really tight space but they were careful and everything made it inside safe and sound. They were nice guys and work quickly. They installed my water lines and took away all the trash and I am happy with the delivery. Best experience I've ever had with appliance installation. These guys were on top of it. From the scheduling gentleman on the phone through to the end. And my appliance was HEAVY: a La Cornue range that had to be carried up a not-so-wide flight of stairs. Not a single complaint from these guys. Then, they found that I had taken a knob off the appliance and the washer had fallen behind it's drawer; I expected them to leave it to me to take care of. If the scheduler/office manager, Kyle helps you- all bets are off. His customer service skills are a big zero. The company tells you off the bat we give you a window of 3 hours. And they do not show up and YOU, the customer have to call them. You wait all morning, after the promised window time and an hour or two later you have to call them. West Coast has been working with us through the process of replacing all the appliances in our house and they have been very professional. They were recommended to us by Pacific Sales and they did an amazing job installing our appliances. I was skeptical at first because we had new flooring put in about a year ago and I was pretty sure that they would have issues taking out the old built-in fridge but they didn't. Not happy with my double oven install. Was quoted $165 for the install. When they got here they said it was actually 2 ovens with a panel in between so they'd have to charge $165 for each oven install and $150 to build a shelf that the upper oven could sit on. $480 for what was supposed to be $165. Then, they said they could not modify the space, even though the cupboard could have been cut out above or the fake drawer removed underneath. So, the pretty white glass panel that goes in between can't be installed. Instead I have a piece of wood in between the two ovens (which is actually missing a bit on one end) that my husband has to paint. I'm really not happy. For $500, they could have shaved the top of the cupboard opening by an inch or two to make it all fit and look the way it was supposed to fit. West Coast was the preferred installer for the Sub-Zero appliance I purchased from Pacific Sales. I researched West Coast prior to the install and I was concerned by the reviews here on Yelp. Pacific Sales assured me I had nothing to worry about and they were right. The delivery date was scheduled with Pacific Sales. West Coast called me the morning of to provide me with a 3-hour install window. TJ and Isaac arrived within the window and were polite and professional. Upon inspecting the install location they immediately noticed a problem - my outlet was installed in the wrong location. The offered me a choice to take the appliance back with them or leave it in my home at a location of my choosing. Thought the issue was my fault, they came back a few days later at a convenient time. On the second install day, they arrived right on time and started working immediately. During both visits they obliged my request to cover/protect my wood floors. They were very respectful of the drywall during the install. Their install experience was very apparent. The install was everything I could want: - Respect for my hope - They did not assume any install decisions and asked my choice when there were options - They were precise in positioning and installing including leveling the appliance perfectly The only constructive feedback I have is that it would be great if they could provide their install window the day before. However, that may be challenging for a small local business. In my experience, large national companies with that capability often miss their install windows even with advance notice which is why I still give them 5 stars. I recently purchased a washer and dryer from a local appliance shop and was told that they contract with West Coast Appliance Installation for delivery and installation. The day of delivery I waited for a call in the morning for the delivery window and got a big fat NOTHING! I kept getting their voicemail when I called numerous times until I finally reached someone around noon. I was already weary, but hoped the delivery and installation would go smoothly. IT DID NOT!!! I had a rag towel ready for them to use when they unhooked my old washer and even told them as much but guess what??? They didn't use the rag towel and left a pool of water on my floor which they then trekked around my house. Dirty shoe prints anyone??? I asked how they would move my old washer and dryer down the stairs and was told with a dolly. I was horrified and told them that I had concerns with damage to my appliances, my stairs, and my house. He promised me that my appliances, my stairs, and my house would be left UNHARMED. That was a lie!!! He should've promised me that my appliances, my stairs, and my house would definitely be HARMED so that I could set my expectations really really really low. Needless to say my walls were scuffed, my stairs were left dented and scuffed because their sorry excuse of what they call floor protection was too short to protect my stairs, and my laundry room floor was scraped up because they dragged my appliances around like a rag doll. When I brought up my property damages with him, I was told that the damages were there prior to their visit. More lies!!! He stood there arguing with me and told me to go to Home Depot and pickup some supplies to fix the damages. Why should I have to out more money to fix damages caused by them??? Very very very unprofessional of them to put the blame on their customers instead of owning up to their wrong doings. If you're pissed at someone, then give this shop a call and they can definitely help you get your revenge by damaging that special someone's property. Referred to West Coast by Renwes Sales to do installation of a cooktop and downdraft. The cooktop installation went well (probably worth five stars), but the downdraft installation left a L-O-T to be desired, and we wound up paying a different installer to come and fix the mess West Coast left behind. To be honest, we were initially pretty happy. The view from the top of the new cooktop and downdraft looked great. But then we looked underneath. Despite the installation instructions stating clearly not to use metal foil vent, the cheap metal foil venting is what was used. Further, the downdraft unit was a 600cfm model, and it specified a minimum duct diameter of 6 inches. Well, the first part of it was six inches, but then the installer squeezed it down to a little over three inches to fit under the fan motor box. So much for 600cfm. The last issue relates to the mess left behind. Renwes told us that if the installer needed to make additional cuts in our countertop, they would tent around the area to keep the quartz/granite dust from going everywhere. Well, additional cuts were needed, but West Coast didn't get the memo, and we were left with a fine coating of white dust over pretty much every surface of our downstairs. On the way out the door, my wife asked if the funny looking duct install for the downdraft was up to code, and after a pause, the installer said "yes". Well, I don't have to pause. If you're looking for someone to install a downdraft, look somewhere else. read more

They were more than quick, extremely efficient and a "well oiled machine" -- I have never seen two men dig out an over 30 - almost 40 year old Sub Zero which was tiled to "right up to the edge" and get it out WITHOUT breaking any tiles. No damage. You know you are dealing with expert craftsmen with Alex and whomever is with him. This incredible technician knows his stuff. We were worried because we thought there may be an issue between the height of the old refrigerator/freezer with the new one. No problem there. In just one hour the old refrigerator/freezer was out, the new one was installed -- perfectly level and running. This team (Alex in charge) made all things right. On the list of installers by Pacific Sales. Great job, clean and neat, finished and checked out operation of new gas dryer. They had to disassemble the dryer to modify for down-vent through floor, and fit to the existing hole-- oops, it was the same layout as the old dryer, except the new one would not fit as close to the gas outlet so I had to widen the hole. They held the dryer up out of the way while I sawed from below. I never could have done what they accomplished, very good workers and took responsibility. Oh, and they showed up on time-- we all know when they say they will be there between noon and 3, it will be closer to 3 than noon? Not these guys, they showed up at 1 and were done by 3. However, Kyle is a sarcastic smart ass who has no business being on the phone with clients. Both times, deliveries and installs were scheduled by ??? Not us! Kyle blamed the store. The way this company works is that they call you the DAY OF and surprise you with a time. The windows are 3-4 hours. When I called Kyle to reschedule our surprise delivery and install, he was such an a**hole that it left a bad taste in my mouth. He was sarcastic and unprofessional. He blamed the store for booking times, when my salesperson knew that we had specific requests. UGH. read more

Pacific Sales contracted with West Coast Appliance Installation for the job. Our installer was Ken. The installer told me he had to charge an additional $65 to remove and haul away the dishwasher. If not he would leave and that was rude. That essentially forced us to pay a total of $150 ($85+$65). It would have been cheaper to go with Sears. The guy was a bit rude and not very professional. He also demanded cash and not a credit card because he had to do additional work to "cash the check". Please do yourself a favor and stay away form these unprofessional people. Pacific Sales - please get yourself a better company to do the appliance installations - these guys are scam artists. I am going to file a complaint with Pacific Sales regarding my transaction and horrible experience. I hope I get my money back. read more

Not sure what the negative reviews are about. I was given West Coast appliance by Pacific Sales in Costa Mesa.. Alex (Alejandro) and his brother installed a refrigerator. That one was faulty.(not their fault) I exchanged it.. the same guys Alex and his brother came and picked that one up. Delivered back to Pacific Sales, and returned it for me. There was a scheduling issue on Pacific Sales part and I asked PS for West Coast again. Although they don't work on Saturdays, I received a call from PS saying that Alex would be delivering my dryer and refrigerator on Saturday. Alex shows up BY HIMSELF! and installed my new dryer (upstairs) and new fridge. I would recommend West Coast anytime. Ask for Alex and his brother. They were meticulous and quick.. and even told me my washer was hooked up wrong and fixed it.. I was really impressed with them and will ask for them in the future. read more

Had my entire Thermador kitchen installed by these guys last month. After a long kitchen remodel (which never goes as planned) these guys showed up on time as promised and actually did the work right the first time!! I wasn't a easy job but they did it without complaint and with ease. They were in my home for 3-4 hours kept it clean, watched out for my new floors, and then showed me how to use most of them. I paid with a credit card and had no problems. Looking at the other reviews I'm sure everyone has a bad day and with how hard these guys work I'm sure they get tired of whiny cheap customers but I had a great experience! Thanks guys!! The 2 workers came right at the time they claimed and covered their work space around the microwave area. They proceeded to open the boxes for the micro and the trim kit and took care of discarding all cardboard and trash. Said LG didn't fit in our space and we should have got a whirlpool (!). Only description I can think of is "scam artist." He was told to get more money out of us. We saved over $300 to get this unit from Costco, and this incompetent jerk wanted over $300 to install a "free installation." Never did take the old unit like promised. This company installed my fridge, free standing range, washer, and dryer and they were hired by Pacific Sales in Irvine. Carlos delivered and installed the washer and dryer and he did a good job and was pretty quick. He answered some of my questions on how to operate the machine and was very professional. Carlos also came back out to level the range because other guys from his company who installer it didn't adjust the range and it was shorter than my kitchen counter and slanted. Overall my experience with this company was pretty good and Kyle was pretty good on the phone as well. read more

I purchased an over the range microwave to replace my old one over my current range. I purchased it through Pacific Sales in the Best Buy in Costa Mesa. I purchased on a Sunday and received a scheduled install date the following Saturday. West Coast Appliance Installation was supposed to call me the morning of to install which they did. Once I got the message, I promptly returned the call and got the voicemail of the technician who called me. I waited, but never received a call from Sunny, the technician. It was 10:48am, about two hours later, no one called me back so I called their office and I spoke to a Nick who was not very helpful. He couldn't find my information initially and then he had the nerve to ask me if I listened to the voicemail that was left for me. I found it incredibly rude to phrase it that way. The technician called and left his name and number and that was it. No more information provided other than that. But it was highly rude to a customer to suggest otherwise. He then stated he would call the technician. Nick called me back about 15 minutes later that despite my request for a morning installation, they would come between the hours of 3:00-6:00pm. I said that would not work as I requested the morning slot, a technician attempted to contact me for a morning slot. It isn't right to push me back. I had other plans and would not be present for that time slot. He then proceeded to tell me that we can't make confirmations according to customer request. So I told him he can't confirm time slots for something that is scheduled, but he can throw out comments to cover their butts to state why they can't come? That's a horrible business plan. I was literally trembling with anger at this point. I raised my voice and he got offended. I told him you're telling me you can't commit to something you intended to do and rather than try to appease customers, to which your company/business is based, you make excuses. Then he said he can't control what the technicians do. But you're still trying to make excuses for them. He proceeds to tell me he will try to find another technician to install it since Sunny hasn't even picked up the unit from the store yet. So it's past 11:00am, I requested a MORNING installation and the technician has made no follow up calls with me and to add insult to injury, has not even picked up my item?!?!?!?! He said he would try to find another technician and call me back in about 20 minutes. Twenty minutes pass and no call from Nick. I'm not surprised. I'm annoyed with the whole company and have no desire to talk to Nick because he will give me the run around. I called Pacific Sales, asked them to find me another installer because I am not satisfied with what West Coast Appliance has to offer. It was all done within 5 minutes. Situation done. The only reason I needed it installed was because the vent over the range was necessary and I wanted to make sure it would be a good fit and done properly. To be given the run around like that and receive poor customer service from the operator only adds insult to injury. I'm not impressed with them and I have no reason to want to use them in the future. I highly do NOT recommend them for any service secondary to this poor experience! read more

Pacific sales had recommended West Coast appliance Installation to install my higher end kitchen appliances. I trusted they would do a good job, but they simply did not. not a single one of the 25K dollars of appliance they installed were accurate. in fact they were dangerously installed. 1) my Thermador double oven and stove (the top of the line 12k giant one). ((A))They did not install the safety bracket. you know the one that if your child opens the oven door and climbs on to the oven door, prevents the entire oven from flipping over kiling your child and pregnant wife, later leading to your suicide!!!!!!!!!!! I found this out only tonight, one month after they installed the appliance. I found this out because i had to double check all their work, I was forced to read through all the appliance manuals and double check to make sure they had done what they were supposed to do. ****(B) the gas line under the stove top has a bend in it and goes up out of view up the back of the oven. The manuel says this should not occur as it may expose the line to high heats and lead to explosion. The gas line also needs an attachment to manually turn it off from the front underneath, which they did not install. if there is an earthquake or a gas leak i need to turn off the gas from the front, because the oven weights 800lbs and can't be moved to reach the back of it. ****((C )) they originally installed the oven about an inch below the surrounding counter tops. I didn't notice and didn't care, but my contractor said thats funny, shouldn't it be the same height as the surrounding counter. I called them out to fix it. They came out and said it would cost me another 75 of labor...the manuel clearly has a picture of my oven with a giant x through it as how not to install the oven, that installation this way will expose the surrounding cabinet to high heats and may cause fire. ***(D) While moving my oven the second time they came out they were half way into my house when one of the helpers said "stop" look the oven door on the inside is broken!" they then told me, this was broken before they started moving it...mind you this is the second time they moved my oven that day and I had checked the oven 1 week before on delivery and it was not broken then. they then tired to get me to sign paperwork absolving them of blame, i wrote on the paper work that they did not inspect the product before they moved it and I do not believe it was broken before. *****((E)) They did not know how to install the stainless steal foot covers, they put the outer covers on the front legs and the inner sleeve part on the legs in the back of the oven. I later pieced them together and screwed them in the right way to cover the front legs. 2) My thermador dish washer. **(A) they did not raise the drain hose and install it 20 inch above the level of the kitchen floor as per the manuel, they just shoved the hose in the back ...that explains why my dishwasher is backing up water into it and not draining properly. tomorrow i will go fishing for the food that is probably stuck in it ***(B) they did not anchor the dishwashing in, on one side there is one screw going in, the other side has the anchor screwed into air. so my dishwasher moves back and forth when opening and closing. Per the manuel they should have installed the top brackets and then screwed the apparatus into the wood above. seems simple?. 3) Microwave trim kit, installed too high, later found out it blocks my upper cabinets from opening. 4) Samsung 48inch refrigerator, they said the manufactures made a mistake, it does not fill in the top gap, and that the refrigerator moves back over time as a design flaw, to fix this they had me install wooden stoppers on the inside of my cabinet....but they failed to jack up the product, it has built in jacks in the back, and they have been leaving these refrigerators on the moving wheels for all those that get installed by them....of course the product will move back if left on wheels!!! of course it wont fill in the top gap, you didn't install it right. When i questioned them the second time they came out they said the product couldn't go any higher just to leave it alone. I fixed it myself, and also found the trim piece in the left over parts that fit the top of the refrigerator. I can't believe i gave these guys almost 800 bucks to install my products. Stay away from these installers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you think they have done a good job installing your product, read the manuel that came with it, check your appliances out, your house may explode, your kitchen burn down, your child will be crushed, your dishwasher will never drain, grow black mold and make everyone that visits your house sick, forcing you to commit suicide!!!!!!!!! read more

If you are buying your appliance from a retail store and they offer you free installation, make sure they are not sending West Coast Appliance Installation to your house. Their crew is rude, incompetent and don't keep promises and you will most likely end up with an incomplete job at the end of the day just like we did a day before Thanksgiving Holiday. We bought a number of kitchen appliances from Pacific Sales in Irvine and they scheduled kitchen inspection on a Friday and actual installation on Tuesday. 1. First guy showed up on Friday for inspection and gave me instructions as what needed to be done before the installation date. I did the modifications to the cabinets as the inspector had requested. 2. On Tuesday which was our original installation date, nobody showed up for installation. After contacting the appliance store, they told me for an unknown reason the installer did not pick up my appliances from the warehouse and they need to reschedule for tomorrow. 3. On Wednesday, a different person from West Coast appliance shows up and he says he is not able to install the appliances for me because I need to make additional modifications to my cabinets. This was done while I had done exactly what I was told to do on the inspection day. The West Coast Appliance Installation left the appliances in my garage and did not perform the installation as they had promised just the day before Thanksgiving. If you want to do yourself a favor and avoid any headaches, please make sure your appliance store does not send these guys for your appliance installation. Good Luck! read more

I, too, ordered my 60" BlueStar range from Azarri and had West Coast install it. This thing is massive and weights about 650 pounds. Jacob and Saul did the installation today. They went out of their way to ensure everything was done perfectly and nothing - neither the store nor anything in my kitchen - got damaged. They're nice guys and really know what they're doing.
