I found a spot in the reference section and was able to get a few hours of study there. Plus, the Livingston Public Library is also part of BCCLS (sounds like "buckles"), which stands for the Bergen County Cooperative Library System. Within the BCCLS network, you can borrow books, media, and other lendable materials from any of the libraries in the system as long as you're a resident from one of the participating libraries' municipalities. This is a nice library with lots of natural light pouring into the rooms. It's a great resource for the nearby community, plus there are some interesting displays about local town history (Rikers Art Hill and hometown, Nobel Laureate Roger Yonchien Tsien (錢永健).

I tend to take a lot of books out of our public libraries, but this isn't my favorite location of the three we have in town. The place could use a bit of a renovation...and a bigger selection of books and other media. In fact, unless I know they have a book that I 'need' I don't really go over to this location anymore. It's ok, it's convenient for this part of town, but I tend of go to the main branch-just easier to get to, better parking, and obviously a greater selection.

Came here with my boyfriend to do work and study. The library is really big-- there are two floors…read morewith lots of different selections of books. We went to the second floor to use their study room. You have to talk to a librarian to get it unlocked and tell her how long you'll be in there for. The librarian was very friendly and nice, she did her best to fit us in the schedule since we didn't schedule ahead of time. The room very clean and quiet-- I was able to focus really well there. However, I noticed the wifi can be a bit slow and spotty on the second floor. We moved to the first floor since our time for the study room is up. We found a college section for students who are studying for SATs or already in undergrad. They offer a lot of resources and material that people can borrow. The wifi was definitely a lot faster on the first floor. Overall, I really enjoyed doing work in this library and I will definitely come back here again.

Can't believe this is the 1st review! The library is housed in a very nice building with lots of…read morehistory & character. There are so many interesting aspects of this library that would've possibly gone unnoticed if Helen didn't provide the background details. It's cool to be able to see what the "old" wall looked like before the expansion and the oak staircase that leads upstairs with the various archways is pretty nifty too. Enjoyed the various decorations that are displayed in the differed areas. What a wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Parking seems limited to the street.
