Because of Dave I will absolutely be back and will be recommending this dealership. I bought a certified pre-owned Honda in February and was NOT informed about the presence of the SWAT system or associated cost ($1000 for 3 years). I happened to catch it on the papers while signing, and was not only caught off guard but questioned when I said I did not want it (I'm a student and was already pushing my limited budget, which I had already told them). I was exhausted from being there for several hours trying to navigate loan applications, hungry, caught off guard and didn't have the energy to fight for myself, so I sheepishly signed the papers and left. The next day, feeling taken advantage of, I contacted the team I worked with, and was told that I would received a check for $1,000 for the SWAT system I did not want. I continued to follow up, each time being told that, "the business office was still processing it." Finally, my point of contact stopped replying/answering. Since I don't live in the area, my mom followed up in person, nearly 2 months later. Dave met her, and informed her that the dealership is now under new ownership, and that the promise for a $1,000 refund was something the team could not possibly have done (it was an empty promise). Despite it being "impossible," and being unable to fulfill that promise, Dave did everything in his power to remedy the situation, eventually working something out with us that felt good. So, thank you Dave, for going above and beyond to try to remedy a problem that wasn't yours. Eternally grateful! Will definitely be back because of you.

Avoid Honda of Marin if you expect basic courtesy or staff who listen to paying customers…read more While paying for my service, I asked about an orange flag on my inspection report. The service associate mentioned it was likely just old hoses and nothing I should worry about right now. I had a follow-up question about whether he had ever heard of a scenario I had been experiencing lately. Before I could even complete the sentence, the associate shut me down, saying, "We're a Honda dealership and your car is a Hyundai, so we can't answer questions." It felt like an immediate brush-off. I tried to clarify that I was just asking if he had ever heard of the symptom I was trying to describe in ANY vehicle, not a brand-specific diagnosis. Instead of listening, he talked over me, repeating that they were a Honda dealership and couldn't possibly advise on anything to do with a Hyundai. I had to firmly hold my ground just to get through a sentence to repeat that I was simply asking if he'd heard of anything like it. He finally admitted that he had. When I pointed out how needlessly difficult he was making a simple customer question, he turned it around on me, put his hand up toward my face, and said he was "done." I'm not sure if this was some sort of bias against women or maybe he was having a bad day, but what I do know is that my money will go elsewhere. Honda brand and service centers won't see a dime from me or my family members again.

She is responsive, organized, and consistently delivers a high level of service. Since she took over, communication has improved significantly and our overall experience has been very positive. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend Rebecca and Common Interest Property Management for your property management needs.

After decades of owning investment properties within multiple HOA communities in Marin, we've never…read moreexperienced a management company as ineffective as CIM. Across our HOAs that are managed by CIM, the assigned manager does not return emails, consistently drops the ball, and will sometimes shift blame onto vendors, claiming they are not responding when the real issue is a lack of follow‑through. These patterns have been persistent and unmistakable, raising serious concerns about ethics and professionalism. He is incompetent. We've also noticed a pattern of favoritism toward East Bay vendors, even though our HOAs have long‑time, reliable Marin‑based vendors with fully vetted pricing structures. Given that CIM's headquarters is in the East Bay, it raises legitimate questions about why outside vendors are being pushed when established local vendors already meet our communities' needs. Some of our other investment properties are managed by RealManage, and the difference in structure is significant. RealManage provides two dedicated staff members for a comparable retainer--a community manager who focuses on Board matters and an assistant community manager who is hands‑on with vendors, homeowner requests, emails, and ongoing updates. It's difficult to understand why any HOA would pay for the services of one person when other companies provide two people and consistently stronger support. It is clear that CIM's structure and accountability are far below what any HOA should accept.
