I told her it felt weird when she put the novocain in but she told me that means she put it in the right place. This is my 3rd time getting Novocain in the last 6 months and it's never taken this long to wear off. My only positive experience has been my cleaning. Bottom of the barrel Healthcare…read more So after being stabilized at Roger Williams's hospital, I spent three weeks in Elmhurst nursing home to recover from pneumonia. However, the lack of proper basic hygienic care and the mistakes they made with my medication, as well as the maltreatment by staff and the incompetency by CNAs, nurses, nurse practitioners and administrators led to my being rehospitalized with three secondary infections - some of which were serious. After my first week there I wanted to get a transfer to another facility and started gathering testimony from the different professional caregivers (non-staff) who work at other facilities, most of whom confirmed to me that they feel helpless at addressing these problems in this facility... They take for granted that the Marquis group corporate owners, will not allow them to get either the staffing or the supplies they need at that place to provide proper care, and after talking with different residents, I can see that both subacute care patients as well as long-term residents have the same complaints... I regret not documenting accurately enough to file a lawsuit, but I am filing complaints with the Rhode Island health department and publishing reviews everywhere I can online to let the world know, this place is BOTTOM OF THE BARREL as far as nursing homes go... what is taken for granted there is that mistakes (some of which will be life-threatening) WILL be made and the general attitude of staff is "not my fault, not my job, not my problem". The State needs to investigate how they operate that facility, they need inspections and auditing... The national Health review board has already removed their rating. There are 200 beds and nowhere near enough staff and a lot of serious medication errors and total lack of competency going on there.

The CNA needed to clean him up after he vomited. She had me leave the room and shut the door. My husband informed me that she was saying horrible things to him such as "who would want you. Look at you. You're useless". As he's telling me this he's crying. He thankfully only stated 24 hours because he needed to be transferred to the hospital. My heart hurt for him. This will be reported to a higher level. This place should be closed down.

Getting appointments with the practice has been notably smooth throughout my time with them; the staff is willing to work with you based on your needs and clinician availability. I've also enjoyed seeing a few of the other practice members (eg Benitez, Berg, Rodriguez), each of whom is thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful. The use of the Healow medical app as a portal, and their fully integrated connectivity to electronic medical record systems, has given me peace of mind that all my instances of care are suitably connected in one place. It's also convenient to be able to head downstairs for a quick and easy blood draw when required - and again, clear results are available in the app shortly thereafter. I've also noticed the patient set is younger than it used to be - not just geriatrics anymore. As important as anything above, Dr Ruggieri is friendly and engaged during visits, as the rest of the staff I've dealt with are also. I definitely have a "medical home" at Wayland Medical.

Dr. Mansourati and Nurse Practitioner Ducharme deliver competent clinical care and demonstrate solid medical expertise. Unfortunately, the administrative operations at this practice fall substantially below acceptable standards, fundamentally compromising the patient experience. In properly managed facilities, administrative personnel facilitate care rather than impede it. Here, routine interactions prove unnecessarily burdensome, and front office demeanor frequently registers as dismissive rather than patient-centered. When individuals are navigating health challenges, administrative friction compounds their burden and represents a failure of essential service. Particularly disheartening is watching capable clinical providers have their efforts consistently undermined by operational deficiencies. Healthcare demands collaboration across all levels. When administrative conduct works against patient welfare, it negates even skilled medical work. Until substantial improvements are made, I recommend seeking care elsewhere.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I woke up with pain radiating down my neck, spine, and arms to a point where I still can't move my upper body. I had been in to see Connie Ducharme a few months back for the same issue (less intense at the time). I called Fairlawn primary care this morning and asked for medication (not opiates) to help with the pain while I work on getting x-rays. I get a VM from Rebecca stating that my PA sent the script to a pharmacy I haven't used in years, which I had already updated with Fairlawn at my last visit, but THEY left it in the system. I called back and proceeded to ask if it could be transferred to my local pharmacy because I am in so much pain I can't drive long distances. I can't move my neck to switch lanes or sit up for long periods of time, etc. No empathy provided. Just Rebecca taking the phone and coming down my throat full force. Rebecca took the phone from the receptionist and proceeded to yell at me. "It's not Fairlawn's problem you have multiple pharmacies on file" - my response was "it was because I updated them during my last visit." I also reminded her that my prior medications a few months ago were sent to the correct CVS, why wasn't this one? She did not have any answers to my questions. She proceeded to say to me "every time you call you have an attitude." That is bullying and took me back. Especially because the last time I was in the office, Rebecca told me to drop her name if I wanted my boyfriend to become a patient, even though Fadi wasn't accepting anymore. Why extend that olive branch to a person that's always a problem? Gaslighting as its finest. Ethics complaint will be filed with the state when I am contacted with Rebecca's remaining details. Upholding patient autonomy, beneficence, and justice means respecting a patient's right to self-determination (autonomy), acting in their best interest (beneficence), and ensuring fair, equitable treatment for all (justice). My best interest was not acted in, Rebecca's was. Bullying me and threating to withhold medication is in direct violation with Rhode Island's Healthcare Ethics.

I see Dr Maude and my husband sees Dr Breiding - two of the nicest, most responsive and competent physicians as I have ever met. If one is actually ill, you get fit in to the schedule that very day! Sick on Saturday? On call MDs will tell you to come on over. Each MD has a nurse and a secretary. Ingrid and Robert are the nurses to our two doctors respectively. Each nurse could not be nicer. You are never kept waiting. Secretaries (mine is Linda) ALSO wonderful! These great folks make you feel comfortable and inspire confidence from the top down. Conveniently located on North Main Street near the Providence/Pawtucket line, there are parking lots on both sides of the building. I left a medical practice practically around the corner from my home in East Greenwich and choose to drive to North Main St to have these wonderful medical professionals take care of me! Five stars.
