I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep easily, and I'm even dreaming a lot which I take as a sign I'm finally getting deep, restful sleep. I've seen such drastic improvements that I genuinely feel like I have a new baseline. I feel so much more in control of my anxiety now and honestly like a completely different person than I was just a few months ago. It's been truly life changing. I honestly wish I could see her weekly. The closest way I can describe how you feel leaving a session is like you just had a massage; you're so relaxed, grounded, and at ease. Marisa has truly touched my life. She is genuinely an angel. She listens, she cares deeply, and she is incredibly dedicated to her clients. If she doesn't have an answer right away, she always follows up, whether by email or the next time you see her, which says so much about the level of thought and attention she gives. I don't feel comfortable around many people, but there's something about her energy that is so light and reassuring. She creates such a safe, welcoming environment, and it makes all the difference. Was yelled at and belittled by a doctor here repeatedly since day one. Was told I could not get off of a medicine, when I brought it up, and I had also let him know I had consulted another provider who suggested it could be a good idea. Was yelled at, told no, and I realized then he didn't actually care about my health.

I used to be telehealth they switched that. Not me. It was hard without a car...they then tried to switch me to a suboxone shot instead of the medication I had been diligently taking for 10 years without a problem (with a plan in action to wean down). My old doctor retired and they then cancelled me as a patient because I missed an appt. this medication isn't something you can just cut someone off of. I would never again recommend anyone ever go to these crooks. I WAS SO UPSET WHEN I HEARD HE WAS TRANSFERRING THERE. then retired and left me with these people who don't care. They don't listen. They want your money that's all and will screw you over without a second thought.

He never talked down to me, and always asked my opinion on what he thought was going on. He listened patiently and asked thoughtful questions. He changed my bipolar meds, and when I experienced breakthrough anxiety, he adjusted the meds accordingly, until it was what i needed. He was also conversational and we chatted about books and movies, which set me at ease. Honestly, Dr Zimmerman helped me more in those few weeks than all the therapists and shrinks I've ever known, and I wish I could have him for my permanent psychiatrist.

I was in the RIH partial adult program since sept until December, and it has been the best thing ever for me. I really enjoy all the doctors they make the experience amazing. They also do afternoon sessions which is great as well , since the program runs M-F 7:45am - 1:45pm. If you want to open up or get will this is the place to go , and take it from me it helps I'm very stubborn with getting help. Everyone's needs someone to talk to and why not go here , amazing staff and they are honest , caring and don't speak like robots. They actually really care about your wellbeing.

Three weeks later I did get my phone call at the scheduled time, and was told that no family counseling was available. Basically, I waited four weeks to be told I could not be serviced. Very disappointing, very unprofessional.
