We flew into town for an interview and my husbands suit and dress shirts got wrinkled en route. West Bay Cleaners was able to press the suit and shirts in a couple hours for us. Customer service you rarely see anymore. Would absolutely recommend. read more

Can give great quality advice with speciality items - helped me clean a high end white coat my friend needed to borrow for her wedding

Today was my last day stepping foot into this business. Never again! I will happily spend my money elsewhere. I always default to the nearest neighborhood business, and this is the closest dry cleaner to my house. However, I have been routinely disappointed by the negative, patronizing attitude that David has with customers. Today I walked in and as usual, there was nobody up front and no way to summon someone from the back. I've asked before whether there is a bell, and there is a bell - but they've decided to keep the bell behind the counter where customers can't use it. I waited 5 minutes before David happened to notice that I was standing there. This happens every time I've visited before (3-4 times). He said "how can I help you?" and I replied "I have 4 shirts to pick up." He looked at me like I was a moron and had just said something rude to him. "Do you want to help me out with your name or phone number?" was his taunting reply. Why didn't he just ask for my name? Customer service seems to be the absolute last priority here. Every time I come in I am poorly treated with a demeaning, negative, impatient attitude. Everything I say is seen as an insult or an inconvenience. I feel "in the way." And, have fun getting someone to pay attention to you while you wait after entering the business. read more

I bring all of my cleaning to these guys. Up until now, it's all been normal cleaning. I recently brought in a white suit with stains from a few times being worn. I thought for sure it was too dirty to clean. I'm happy to report they did a great job! Thank you for the hard work you put into cleaning the things I bring in! read more

I dropped off a suit jacket that had some makeup stains and David was able to clean it with ease. He was very informative and professional throughout my visit. He also gave me a welcome bonus since I was a new customer, which was nice. Just a note - the receipt mentions that items would be ready by 2PM so be sure to call and confirm before coming in early. My item was easy as it just needed to be pressed so I didn't have to wait very long. This is a great and convenient local spot. I will definitely be coming back in the future. read more

I recently had my wedding dress and two suits dry cleaned here after our wedding in November. Lots of dirt and grime were caked on to the bottom of the dress, but West Bay Cleaners made it look brand new. read more

West Bay Cleaners did an awesome job cleaning a new sports jacket I had food stains on and couldn't get out. They kept me up to date throughout the process and I would highly recommend them for all your dry cleaning needs! Thank you again- I will be back. read more

I stumbled upon west bay cleaners as it is nestled right next to my favorite cafe, Cafe Zoe, that I frequent. I decided to give west bay a try as an added option to my usual cleaners. I have a white shirt that got peppered with dotted stains all over the front. The owner was very helpful in helping me understand what he could/ could not do so I could make an educated judgement on whether to spend money on the stain removal. I ended up having it done and was very satisfied with the results. Their prices were also very reasonable. I like the no nonsense, frank and straightforward approach and will definitely use west bay again ! read more

Excellent, quick service delivered with a friendly smile. I will be taking all of my dry cleaning here in the future. They did a great job on dry cleaning a rather problematic dress that had some spots of mold. The dress turned out spotless and the pleating was sharp and perfect. Thank you for doing a fantastic job! read more

My husband and I were in desperate need for a dry cleaner that we could use regularly for all of his suits and luckily we found West Bay Cleaners! The employees are all so attentive and nice whenever we come in. We moved back to Mountain View from Menlo Park and have still been coming here instead of finding a new local place because we love it so much! We cannot recommend it enough! read more

Best in the area. Not just for cleaning and the customer service but for the very nice guy who runs the place. Very patient, explains everything and bends over backwards for anything you need. I was looking for a new cleaner a few months ago and my neighbors said to come here. Awesome recommendation that I will pass onto anyone who will listen!! I've been coming back after finding West Bay and I will be coming back from now on. Great service and competitive pricing. read more

We have been regular customers of West Bay Cleaners for a while now. But recently, we dropped off a prom dress that naturally draped to the ground and had survived an outdoor venue. West Bay Cleaners rose to the challenge. I know that they worked on all the stains numerous times. And the dress came back looking amazing. We're lucky to have such a great dry cleaner in our neighborhood! read more

I cannot speak highly enough of about West Bay Cleaners and their incredible staff. A big acknowledgment goes out to David who assisted me in cleaning and expediting a beautiful garment that I purchased in Rome last summer which was desperately needed for a vacation in Napa Valley Wine country. Not only did he put my mind at ease regarding the structured pleats in the pant suit but he also assured me that it would be ready ON TIME for a 72 hr pick up (dropped off on Monday AM and picked up on Wednesday prior to my departure on Thursday). I cannot say how thankful and grateful I am to David and the staff. Not only was my item beautifully taken care of but I received loads of compliments. This will forever be my new cleaners. David always goes above and beyond for his customers. We had an important jacket with some stubborn stains and he worked on it for an extra week, trying some different products until the jacket was perfectly cleaned. And he didn't charge us anything additional. We appreciate David's dedication to his craft and customers! Bonus points: David is a big 49ers fan and always good for a Monday Morning Quarterback conversation! read more

I would definitely recommend West Bay Cleaners. They did a good job with my shirt that I needed washed and pressed, but what compelled me to write a review is more than just that. David was exceptionally nice when I talked with him. And on the day that I needed to pickup my shirt I got stuck and work and was running late; I was going to get there after they closed. I called David and he waited for me after they were closed for the day so I could still grab my shirt. And again, he was very nice on the phone. They also offered next day pick up at no extra charge. Most other cleaners offered 3-5 days minimum. All of these factors together made for a great experience. Thank you David! read more

WORTH A TRY! I came here for an emergency stain/dry clean emergency situation. I called and they weren't able to guarantee anything but said it worth a shot to bring the item in if I had time- I had time and I'm glad I went because the man there (I totally forgot his name) got the stain out!! He was so kind and basically told me it's not all situations where this can be the outcome but if he can help, he will. Very very nice and I appreciate him!! If you've never been here before you should try them. I'd come here for regular dry cleaning in the future. THANK YOU! read more

I have used this cleaners for a few years now and originally selected them because of their Yelp rating. But the last couple of times, although i felt that David was knowledgeable, the way/manner he delivers/relays the information borders on insulting and very demeaning. He presented two options, of course, but when I asked him what he would suggest, he started impatiently talking down to me and lecturing me --bordering on being racist and obnoxious. I did not want to think this business had evolved into this quality of customer service--but feel compelled to relay David's very negative attitude/approach. I would strongly suggest he work on his racial profiling (to which I would think he would vehemently deny) in how he communicates with customers...not a good 'front' person for your business. read more

Been coming here for a long time and will continue to come here! They offer competitive and affordable pricing on services especially for the area they are in. I bring in all my suits and dress shirts. David is friendly and knowledgeable. Ownership (Erik) is very kind. They are quick in the turn around process! My items have never been late, and are usually done early! Consistently do a great job on all my items. read more

I found West Bay a year ago and have been very happy with them since. I was looking for someone to wash our down comforters, and they have by far the best price. I take clothes there now too, and they do a good job and let you know up front if there is a stain they will not be able to fully remove. Good turn around time too. read more

They weren't able to deliver on the original estimate (Tuesday by 2pm) but they made every effort to get us figured out by 9am the next day. It wasn't their fault the dress was just difficult (it required hand cleaning due to beading) read more

David at West Bay cleaners is always so helpful and attentive, every time I come in. He really takes the time to look at the items being brought in. If needed, he will put a rush on certain items to make sure you have it in time. I'm always happy and satisfied when I get my clothes back they look sharp, nice and pressed. David always has the best customer service. I am a customer for life there. Thank you, David! read more

I tried West Bay Cleaners for the first time a couple of weeks back to dry clean work jackets and blouses. The service was excellent and I was very pleased with the quality of dry cleaning. Compared to other dry cleaners in this area, they are a very good value for money. I will certainly be using them again and look forward to trying their alteration service too! read more

I have been to the place a couple times. They helped me dry clean some cashmere sweaters and a white formal dress. The owner is knowledge and friendly. He was honest with me regarding what he can do and what he cannot. My white formal dress was cleaned by another local cleaner in Thailand after my event but I was extremely disappointed about the result. I don't know what they did but the dress smelled so badly (like tons of chemicals got used on my dress without rinsing off) after they delivered my dress. Before I found West Bay Cleaners, I went to a couple other dry clean places for quotes. Compared with their quotes, West Bay Cleaners' quote was much more reasonable. Mostly importantly, they did an amazing job on getting rid of the smell of the dress. I am very happy with the result. I am definitely going to give all my business to West Bay Cleaners going forward. read more

Very happy with the service here. Very fast and professional. Always take time to explain the differences between their offerings and to answer any questions. Highly recommend. read more

I used to be a regular here pre-covid and FINALLY made my way back this month. So happy to say they're the same reliable, honest, and friendly local dry cleaner. Very transparent on pricing, and they're happy to accommodate any rush jobs. Most importantly, I thought I ruined a couple of my nicest dress shirts, one with a fat oil stain and the other covered in set in black tea. They made no promises about removing the stains, but when I got them back they were absolutely like new, and with no damage or discoloration. I'm writing this review as a thank you for saving my shirts, awesome job! read more

I took my Louis Vuitton shirt and jacquemus hat to this dry cleaner. Both of them end up discolored. They had the audacity to claim that they were discolored when I brought them in, which is not the case. I have the receipt detailing that the hat has dirt on it. Any dry cleaner would have put the problem area on the receipt when accepting an item, especially two "discolored items". Later on the owner claimed the discoloration on the hat was my sweat. Damn I must be a sweaty lady. Honestly I understand quarantine has been hard for dry cleaners, but the denial of responsibility and lies are just pathetic to me. The combined value of those two items is over 1k. And I did not argue with them because I know the business suffered from quarantine. But a little accountability and apology instead of blame on the customer and gaslighting would have been nice. read more

Great quality, affordable, did an awesome job with my fake fur coat. Highly recommend.

Service was quick and easy. Had a wedding to attend Thursday, dropped my suit off on Tuesday and they had it ready by wed afternoon.

I recently had a big speaking event, imagine my dismay when my favorite ivory suit pants that I had recently dry cleaned came out of the bag with a pink stain! I consulted West Bay cleaners and they were able to remove the stain without damaging the pants, in time for my event. All for a reasonable price. Thank you! read more

Wonderful cleaners. Very nice business. Cleaned my dirty suit right on time for my event.

Ladies...Wedding Gown Cleaning! Oh this beauty had more memories than I'd like to admit. I say this because my dress had stains after stains as we had our wedding outside by the ocean. This company was able to all stains out and was boxed to preserve my dress. I highly recommend this company. read more

Great local cleaners. They are not cheap, but this is a very expensive area and they do a great job and are very friendly. They also do some minor alterations and repairs (send them out to someone else), and the work is always done quickly and well. They've fixed a snagged sweater for me, taken in and modified a fancy dress, and gotten some tricky stains out of my work clothes, all in impressively short time frames. One heads up -- if you do need any modifications/repairs that are more complicated than replacing a fastener or button, I'd recommend bringing them in a weekday, when the owner is around, to make sure the details of the job are communicated clearly to the tailor. read more

West Bay Cleaners - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Menlo Park, California

If I could leave 0 stars for this place I would. I took my items which included 4-5 dresses for my wife to this dry cleaner. When I picked up the items, they all had the same stains as they did when I dropped them off. Even though I had pointed out the stains. It basically looked like they had steamed the items and hung them without cleaning them. I then returned and explained the situation to them. They stated that they would clean the items again! So I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and the items were returned back to me dirty once again with the stains. So I requested for my my money back considering the fact that they did not do their job correctly, instead they offered me store credit or dry cleaning the items a third time! Why would I want store credit at a place where they are unable to provide appropriate service or leave my items there a third time!? Extremely rude and poor customer service. They then told me that on the back of their receipt it states that they will clean items to the best of their ability, so if it's not clean, it's not their problem. Would not recommend this dry cleaning!! read more

They are the best in the business - period. Tremendous attention to detail, great and friendly service (including pickup and drop off), rush orders for last minute travel, and everything is on site (except alteration). I even gave them my newborn clothes for wash and dry. They used my own detergent and then organized all the clothes into categories for me. They have never missed a beat on any service I have given: done dry cleaning on high end items, made alterations, pressed drapes, and took out stains. I barely write reviews. West Bay Cleaners is worth it. read more
