Originally we booked our appointment for Thursday, February 13 at 11:40 PM. Unfortunately the weather was bad so I did receive a text and a call asking me to reschedule, or help me through the process of a refund. I rescheduled my appointment for Saturday, February 15 at 1 AM, unfortunately my appointment was rescheduled one more time. This time around I was just rescheduled without a conversation. I did not appreciate that because the time they rebooked me for did not work for me but I was able to reach out by text and was rebooked for a time that worked with no issues. I just appreciated the first time around where I was part of the conversation for the rescheduling as being rebooked without my approval seemed inconsiderate. That is one of the reasons I'm not giving five stars. The address on Yelp needs to be updated it is not 2726 perimeter rd but rather 2990 N Rancho Drive Las Vegas, NV 89130. Thankfully I was already aware of the area so I knew where it was. At 3 AM it's dark and lonely but if you look at your instructions in your email it will tell you who to contact . They will then go ahead and pick you up in a golf cart. I wish they would mention this through text when they sent you the reminder of your appointment. Because those instructions are in the body of the email so at first glance I did miss that part but that is just personal feedback nothing on their end as they did their part by putting it in the email. Once you're picked up in a golf cart they take you into the garage where they check your weight, I will say I appreciate the way that they go about it because they don't put you on blast nor is it display so if you have any insecurities with that they handle this very well . Then they go after their safety rules, and the instructions. They offer you cookies and water and you're sitting under a heater, an amazing experience but unfortunately the staff members were talking about their favorite and least favorite customers. I think there's a time and a place for those type of conversations so I found that to be inappropriate. I felt pretty awkward just because it felt very unprofessional on their end. The stories were nothing crazy, but again there's a time and a place. Once the group in front of me was done I was taken to the helicopter in the golf cart so no walking at all. They took pictures of us in front of the helicopter. Inside the helicopter the only thing I will say is it was hard to hear even with the headset as it kept breaking up although the pilot was really clear. I was not able to communicate with my boyfriend but I was able to hear everything the pilot was saying to me, which honestly in the scenario I'd rather hear the pilot than my boyfriend. The view was amazing and the pilot was really nice and tried his best to add onto the experience by mentioning fun facts. For just me and my boyfriend it was gonna be $200 plus tax but I did use Groupon which made the flight for both of us around $168 a really good deal. The Groupon was extremely easy to use I just purchased it through the Groupon app use the code on the website when booking my ticket and it applied just like that

I just want to put it out there that I bought a Groupon - Vegas strip tour for 2 people. In my experience, as soon as I mentioned I bought this as a Groupon, I started getting treated a little differently. I digress... I called to reserve a time. I forgot her name but incredibly patient (As I mentioned I'd never flown in a helicopter before) and kindly answered all of my questions. She didn't make me feel rushed at all. I booked our tour for 9 pm on a Wednesday. She sent a text with further details regarding parking, call box instructions, etc. We arrived without issue using the aerial view screenshot detailing exactly where to park. We sat and awaited our West Air Representative (forgot his name) who promptly arrived to pick us up at the gate in a golf cart. He then gave us paperwork to fill out and during this time, 3 more reservations arrived. Once we were all done with the paperwork, we were given a very detailed briefing about what to expect, and how the experience should look. Additionally, they took all precautions to ensure we understood safety protocols. We were then "carted" to the helicopter, given last-minute safety instructions, and escorted inside. The pilot, Mauzzy (I think) took us up, and gave us a great tour of Las Vegas. Once the tour was complete, we were greeted with a golf cart to take us safely back to our car. 10 out of 10 would recommend! They had A-1 Customer Service! #thankyoufortheexperience

We're about to board the helicopter! So exciting!!!

We booked a helicopter tour down the strip with West Air Helicopters on Thursday September 5, 2024 during our most recent trip to Las Vegas, and when we arrived we were greeted and picked up at the gate by Kyle who was SUPER friendly and VERY informative! We really enjoyed talking to him while we were waiting for our turn to go up in the air, as we got there about an hour early. He also performed a very detailed safety briefing with us and helped us complete all of our pre-flight paperwork. Then the time came to go up in the air, Kyle took us out to board the helicopter. Once we got out to the helicopter and he assisted the previous group in getting off of the helicopter, Kyle took several photos of us as a memory with our personal cell phone in front of the helicopter. Then he helped us both in boarding the helicopter and handed us our headsets and explained how to use them and everything. He then introduced us to our pilot, her name was Ashley and she was not only a great pilot she was a great tour guide too! She pointed out many of the famous sites and attractions of Las Vegas as we flew over them....INCLUDING the Walmart parking lot as we were approaching the airport on our way back! Yeah that's right she was also VERY funny!!! We absolutely LOVED our entire experience and our flight! We had a great time and we will definitely be back again!!! Thank you to Kyle, Ashley, as well as everyone with West Air Helicopters, Fred

Well damn, Jackie! I can't control the weather…read more I scheduled a night time tour of the Las Vegas Strip by helicopter. I bought the flight through Groupon. I called to schedule my flight about two weeks out. The goal was to fly on a Saturday evening. They had a 10:15 slot open. I showed up well in advance. The place was busy but the staff were friendly and inviting. They were also open and honest that they were running behind a bit. No worries. I'm there to enjoy myself and that I shall. Skyline has a good lobby area with a game room, water, coffee, vending machines. They even have massage chairs for a small fee. And some music playing that took me back to high school and early college days made this a reasonable place to spend the evening. Then nature happened. Out of nowhere there came a flash of lightning less than a mile away from the airport. That put everything into a holding patter. No flights out for at least the next hour. 30 minutes later it was raining hard and the wind was gusting. The crew called it. It was too dangerous to be flying. So I got rescheduled for the next day, Sunday, at 9:45. Fast forward to Sunday, the weather was much better. The place was much less crowded. Flights were almost on time. As I sat waiting for my flight I struck up a conversation with another single flyer. We would end up flying together. So now I have a new friend, Tina. She covered the photo package. I covered the tip. A fair trade. Trevor, our pilot, gave us a rundown of what to expect. Some bumps here and there. Where we were turning. A bit about what we were seeing. As I local I chimed in and pointed out UNLV. There wasn't much needless chatter between any of us but Trevor was spot on as to where we would expect turbulance. None of it was that bad but very much different than what you feel in a fixed wing plane. Helicopters tend to sway a bit and bounce like someone jumping in an elevator. A strange feeling but not terrible on the night I flew. Soon (too soon) we were back on the ground. The adventure over. An experience to remember for sure. I've been in most things that fly over the years. This was one of final things left. Not much more to fly in now. I am grateful to the crew at Skyline Helicopters for experience, the ease of scheduling, the concern for crew and passenger safety, and most of all their stellar customer service. Sure, this wasn't exactly a smooth and perfect experience but they can't control the weather. They did their best and were up front when things went south. Good on them.

When it was our turn we went outside and took our picture and we were driven on a golf cart to the helicopter the gentleman explained to us how to approach the helicopter one at a time, safely buckled us in and gave us our headsets, we went around the whole strip, past The Strat and even over Fremont street such an amazing experience! The attention to safety and detail made it all worth it and how kind the staff was! I had an amazing memorable experience I can't wait to do this again but doors off this time!

So it always tends to be skewed and you have to take reviews with a grain of salt, so I was hopeful that would be the case for us and we wouldn't experience the problems that others have. Just as several others have mentioned here, our flight was cancelled the day of, after we arrived. We booked SEVEN months in advance, paid in full ~ $1200 for family of four. We arrive 30 minutes prior as instructed. They tell us, sorry, we have mechanical issues, so you are cancelled. They say, we tried to call you (we received no call because, guess what, cell service is not the best around the south rim of the grand canyon...). We said, we have seen at least 4 helicopters flying, how about canceling someone else, how do you select? Did everybody else here book 7+ months ago? Who is prioritized? The reality is they overbooked, and because we paid 7 months previous, we paid less (I looked, their prices went up since we had booked). So I guess we were the easy choice to cancel... They offered to rebook the next day, yet they know that nearly nobody can accomodate this, so it is a hollow offer where they know they can "do their part to try to rectify", but also know that nearly everybody would then just cancel, and the problem takes care of itself. Great business model... Everybody that is going to book a helicopter trip over the grand canyon is there on vacation, and nobody is staying anywhere near grand canyon village or the location of this airport. It is an hour drive just from Williams and the main road, one way. Anyone who books this is driving in from Sedona or Vegas or Phoenix for a half/one day trip, and vacation days/time is precious. Its not as though you can just go do something else nearby and wait until the next day... We had one window of time planned, and the time of this flight was it. I suppose that is why they do not really care about customer service, or screwing someone last minute. Its not like they are planning for repeat customers really... Kids were beyond disappointed. The build-up and excitement, only to be completely let down last minute. They cried as we were walking out and leaving because the talk of the helicopter ride was happening for months prior. And now to the refund. The girl at the counter said the refund would take 7-10 days. Ok, thats typical, whatever. 12 days goes by, no refund. E-mail and call. They respond and say that, because its been more then 6 months, we cannot refund back to your card. We can either ACH (and attached a form) or send a check. I respond to tell then to send a check. Who in their right mind is going to provide their bank account number and routing number into a microsoft word file and e-mail it back? Fast forward ~ 21 days. Still no check. So send another e-mail (haven't called yet because that is a whole other experience...). I receive and e-mail back, not a response to my e-mail, but a carbon copy of the first one sent 9 days prior saying I can use ACH or check. Um, huh? So here we are now, still no refund. Fortunately, since we were heading to Vegas that day (was supposed to be right after our helicopter flight), we booked with Maverick for a helicopter flight over Las Vegas the next day. $450 for family of four, and the experience was excellent all around. I'd recommend Maverick, and avoid this company.

I had made several trips to Las Vegas since then, but somehow never managed to fit it in. Until this past weekend. The staff was helpful and proactive in locating my reservation from years ago, transferring everything into their newer system, and getting my appointment handled without any drama. They even honored the package pricing from then... I booked the first flight of the morning, which turned out to be the perfect choice in the Vegas heat. There was no crowd, no rush, and the weather was great. The experience itself was an absolute blast and did not disappoint. I was grinning cheek to cheek the entire time. After seeing the video, my family and friends said I looked more hyped than scared. Granted, I have done tandem paragliding, heli-skiing, bungee jumping from what was then the world's highest jump in Queenstown, and tandem skydiving more than once. Still, this was completely different, and easily one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. My pilot was Christian, and he was professional, friendly, helpful, and incredibly encouraging. I took the stick for five maneuvers: an aileron roll, barrel roll, loop, hammerhead, and tail slide. Yes, I was basically LARPing as a stunt pilot, and I loved every second of it. I also added the Advanced Maneuvers and Bombing Run packages for $150 each. We even did an 8G turn! After experiencing that, I have a whole new appreciation for the high-G climb scene in Top Gun: Maverick. It looks cool on a screen, but feeling that force against your entire body is something else. I also opted for the $299 Editors add-on, which gives me the raw video files. After editing the footage with a couple of the well-known Top Gun scores, using the anthem for the maneuvers where I had the controls and, of course, "Danger Zone" for the advanced maneuvers and bombing run. I ended up wanting to watch Maverick all over again! Instead of posting mostly photos with this review, I decided the videos would tell the story much better. This is absolutely a must-do experience, especially for anyone who has ever dreamed of flying aerobatics or wondered what it feels like to be inside one of those crazy movie maneuvers. Right now, this easily ranks as one of my most memorable adventures. Five stars, all the way.

Helicopter rides are expensive, and this one was as well, even with a Groupon, about $130 for two people for a 15-20 minutes ride. That being said, it was very fun and an amazing way to experience Las Vegas, and seeing it that way is incredible. I think they offer a variety of other services, but I did their night flight over Vegas. You have to make your reservation well in advance, and they had us meet at the airfield at 7:30 pm. We then went through a long line and a crowded wait room, and got our ride around 8:15 pm. The front desk staff were very professional and efficiently got the crowds to their rides. We were lucky, because we were the last and got the whole helicopter to ourselves. We rode in the one that could only fit three people. I guess the other one is larger and fits six, which I imagine would be rather crowded. The airfield is located a bit off the tourist path, so if you are a tourist be prepared to take some time out to get to the location. Overall, pretty amazing experience.
