The downfall is, me and my pup got there at noon when the sun was out strong. My boy couldn't be out long so we ended up staying for 40 mins just exploring. Kind of a bummer since it took an hour to get there. Definitely a great place to visit when the heat isn't a factor. I have to come back and visit during the morning hours.

From baseball practice to Gator Football practice. My son has played many rounds of disc golf on the small course laid out there. What I reall want to ask, whoever is in charge of the park is, if you would consider adding a dog park in a section of the grounds. There are hundreds of people in Pecan Grove that can be seen walking their dogs every morning and evening on the streets of the Grove. I think many of us would take full advantage of and area where we could take our pets and let them run and play. I hope you might give this some consideration. Jimmy Wynne

The splash pad area is well maintained (as of Aug 2023) and has a large variety of water apparatuses. They have things that shoot horizontally, things that rain downward, things that shoot upward, etc. Toddlers and young kids love this area. Right next to it is a small zip line for kids (Not for adults! Don't exceed the weight limit!). This area was down for a little while because someone must have broken it, but the maintenance crew fixed it up relatively quickly. The play area is well equipped with a tall tree tower with tube slide, swings, miniature hill for the little ones, and climbing structures. The whole area lacks ample shade, so choose the time of day and season accordingly. The pool is locked for residence I believe. Same goes for the restroom. Water fountain is available. Notes: -The sidewalk has uneven steps near the splash pad area. Careful when you walk. - There are often times fire ants near the bench area because of food droppings. Be aware when your little one sits or stands near there. - Press the button in the front of the splash pad to activate. I think the splash pad is only open during the summer.

Ain't nothin' like it! I definitely recommend coming to this small town and viewing all of their treasures. If you ever get the chance, also go and look at their pretty tree they put up every year. Their cafes are also the best. Don't forget about these quaint towns, yall! Show love.
