Arriving at Seabourne Creek, I definitely hit the jackpot. There are beautiful paths to walk along with a nice little lake to fish. Birds, butterflies and everything more a entire preserve needs. The downfall is, me and my pup got there at noon when the sun was out strong. My boy couldn't be out long so we ended up staying for 40 mins just exploring. Kind of a bummer since it took an hour to get there. Definitely a great place to visit when the heat isn't a factor. I have to come back and visit during the morning hours.

Don't let the seemingly small size of this park fool you, because it's deceptively large and it's…read moreeasy to get turned around in it, especially when it starts getting dark, so if you go in the late afternoon, it would be good to have a flash-light and a little extra water...just in case you get lost! Part of the issue is that the official maps and what's on google maps is very incomplete. There are a lot of other paths that aren't on the map that just kind of appear. If you don't cross over any bridges, you'll be inside the official part of the park and worst case, you just circle back around, but if you do go over that Crossover bridge, you'll be treated to some nice hiking, but there is no other way to circle back around because the 2nd bridge will put you in the "uncharted" part of the park and take you to the Pumpkin Lakes and you will have to come back the same way you came. This is kind of a shame and hopefully in time, they'll add another pedestrian bridge near Red Gully Lookout, but hey, you're there to walk so this is a way to walk more! For some reason, even though this is right next to an airport and a large suburban neighborhood, the GPS keeps going wonky too so don't count on that too much. This was my first visit with some other people who had never visited the park so I think we all became experts in the park and won't get turned around next time but a few extra signs wouldn't have hurt to help newcomers.

I saw a couple having a picnic dinner right before sun down. It was something out of a movie. So glad I found this place. There is another trail that goes farther outside of the park. The park has a pavilion which you can rent for $125 deposit which will be returned to you after the event and satisfactory cleanup. The pavilion has both a sink with running water and a huge BBQ grill that uses charcoal. There is also a gazebo which is first come first serve and clean bathrooms. I think this will work for our event the question was whether we could boil crawfish onsite and they said we could. Unfortunately there can be no alcoholic beverages with out a policeman. Aw well.... If you proceed further into the park it has several soccer fields and baseball diamond for palay.

More than average quantities of ommats at the bottom of the slides here too, which is useful when you have a one year old who wants to do the big kid slides but can't always land on his feet. The trails leave much to be desired, probably the most underwhelming 'trails' I have been on. The place has a claustrophobic feel. Long and narrow, surrounded by a busy street on one side and a neighborhood on the other, fences either side of path as it narrows to a turnaround point. More like the trail a toddler could begin on. Feels like I'm in someone's backyard really. Not scenic at all if don't you get my drift by now. And I guess I've come to realize after visiting many trails in parks that the environmental beauty largely correlates to our enjoyment. So if I come here, it's for the playground equip mainly.

The walking paths are too short and the park is small to do any serious speed walking or running, but plenty of grass area for pets to roam around and park benches along the way in case you want to sit down and take in the scenery. But the children's play area looked very nice. There was a family on the set. I came here to exercise. Google Maps says this park is nice to walk and has paved cement paths. I couldn't do my normal routine but I had to add more walking at nearby Lake Pointe Running Trail to complete my workout. I really don't like the smell of sewage while walking; plus the traffic noise from Southwest Freeway. OMG. Not coming back.

It is walking distance/driving distance from the Target, but you would not be able to drive directly to the park's parking lot from that direction but you can definitely walk from there! The newer park area is mostly uncovered so it got hot quickly but the play equipment did not get too hot to play on. Lots of covered benches to rest on around this play area and lots of mulch. Once we were tired of playing in the sun, we ran across one of the open field areas to the tree covered playscapes. They were covered in pollen but still fun to play in (good thing we all took our allergy medicine cause we were all yellow once we were done with the slides!!) Lots of climbing choices and slide choices from short to long, straight to curly, and wavy and even parallel bars that I think you slide down on? My adult sister did it so it could work? Lol! Great hidden gem of a park!! I love that there is so much green space around the play area and no open roads so I don't have to worry about my kids running into traffic. It is also close to shopping centers so we could pop over after a trip to the park for refreshments, some A/C, or to run an errand or two. If you have not been here yet, please visit! It is totally worth the visit!
