I recently applied for an auto loan with Wescom because the interest rates at dealerships were too high. As a small business owner, I had to jump through a few extra hoops to prove my income, but PATTY and RAQUEL made it super easy. I walked away with an interest rate I was happy with and a great experience overall. I'd definitely recommend Wescom to anyone looking to join a credit union. A quick note: I used to work at dealerships and actually worked with one of the employees at this Wescom location when she bought a car in 2020. It was so easy, they came with the approval letter, I handed over the purchase agreement, and they came back with a check. My manager was happy because it cut down on everyone's work. Probably the easiest deal I've ever done. Thank you again to the Wescom team for all your help, I'll be back whenever I'm ready to buy a house! read more

I had the worst experience at this branch. To do transfer and get somebody off the account it took three phone calls and two times to go into the branch to get a notary. It took the notary an hour and a half just to get the paperwork signed I'm sorry, but I think that maybe they're getting too big or they're hiring people that are not so competent read more

I just got the best customer service from Manuel. I believe he said he goes by Manny. I needed $600 in $100 bill denominations and they had to be 2017 series or newer for a trip my better half is taking to Africa. Manny went out of his way to ensure I got that specific request. I really appreciate him going above and beyond and making my experience pleasant. read more

Member Service Representative, Cece at the Ontario, CA branch definitely earned her five-stars. We visited on Halloween Tuesday, 2023. The office was decorated, as well many employees were in festive costumes. We had what turned out to be somewhat confusing and rather tricky documents that needed to be notarized. Our transaction wasn't initially smooth sailing. We indeed had fits and starts. With Cece's calm and professional demeanor from start to finish, we understood our documents to an even greater extent, signed, dated and had our signatures notarized. The Ontario, CA branch is not our home office. Many kudos to Cece and her manager for their diligence and insistence upon fully understanding our documents before proceeding with the notarization duties. Thank You for providing the same level of service that we've come to expect and receive at our home office. Denise K., Sister and Mother... read more

Walked in to apply for their service, they ran my credit, (lowered it), took $1 & AFTER 6 FULL DAYS OF STRESSFUL back and forth phone calls getting all the information they wanted, they told me they canceled my entire application. When i asked why, they didn't go into detail, just said, "numbers didn't match" as if i faked my w2 & paystubs, which were all original. So i told them i wanted to reapply and they told me to get in line. When it was finally my turn, they told me my application is going to be canceled FOR LIFE. Again, they couldn't give me any details why. What's worse is that they have NO COMMUNICATION. When i call their number, it sent me to an operator in pasadena. Then that person would transfer my call to Ontario and as it rang, it would disconnect. That happened 3 times. So i called again and it was going straight to their Voice-mail. Then they told me my phone was off, but it never was. They got mad that i didn't answer their calls WHILE I WAS AT WORK. THEY NEVER ONCE SENT ME A TEXT MESSAGE to keep me updated. The worker never gave me her work phone or her work extension, only her email and it seemed like she ignored everything i told her through email. So when i walked into their office the last time, MY APPLICATION WAS ALREADY CANCELED AND NOBODY TOLD ME THROUGH EMAIL OR TEXT TO SAVE MY TIME. INSTEAD THEY WAITED UNTIL I WASTE MY TIME & GAS WALKING IN TO SURPRISE ME ABOUT MY CANCELATION LIKE THE PROCESS WAS ONE BIG JOKE TO THEM. Also, their coin machine is always out of order. read more

By far the worst mistake I could have made. We switched from arrowhead credit union thinking this would be a better bank but boy was I wrong. Every week my card gets locked and I have to call and wait over 20 minutes each time to speak with someone to unlock My card because they are always blocking it. The amount on the website and app is never correct so I have to rely on old school methods to keep track of my transactions because if not they will overdraft my account. I cannot wait to go back to arrowhead. I would not recommend this institution. read more

Wescom has always been great to me. I have never had a problem with them. I started banking with all these top banks and regretted after years. Now I know and told myself I will never leave them again. Thank you Wescom for treating all of us like family read more

I've been a Wescom member for years. And every time I have had to encounter a Wescom employee, either in person or by phone, it has always been a great experience. Very helpful people. Although I live in another state, I still do my banking with Wescom. My recent experience was a refinance on a car loan, something that I was supposed to do a while ago. While shopping around for a better rate, I found that Wescom started as low as 3.49% and it could go lower depending on the number of other services I have with them. So I submitted a quick loan application online on Friday night. Monday, I called the office as I figured they would need some additional information from me. And as I expected, the loan agent kindly explained what additional information she needed from me. I also prodded her for ALL the information I would need so I could gather the information and make one call back the next day. And she was more than happy to give me the list of requirements. I also learned that because of the other services I have, my rate could go down to 2.49%!!! I wish I did this sooner!! It helps to be prepared and have the correct information readily available. All together, I had a total of four phone calls. Three of the calls lasting less than 5-minutes and the final call less than 20-minutes. Wescom made everything so easy for me, other than the NV DMV requirements. Costs to me, for being out-of-state, was $10 for notary of paper work and $21 lien transfer fee. I believe its because I now reside in NV. If you are in CA, there is no additional cost to you. If you're in CA and you are looking for an alternative or in addition to national banking, I highly recommend Wescom Credit Union as they are open to everyone and not just state or federal employees. read more

This branch is always friendly. Wescom has changed over the last 3 years. I'm making my transition to Navy Federal.

In response to Janya B. I was a customer at the time of your transaction. I will start by saying I was with another bank Wells Fargo for 30 years. After my partner introduced me to Wescom Credit Union, I couldn't believe the treatment I received compared to Wells Fargo. Back to the day you were in the bank. The service you received you would of gotten from any bank. Your boyfriend should be grateful for WCU not allowing someone access to his debt card or account. You were loud and very disrespectful. You were not getting what you wanted and you became dramatic. You believe the lady didn't want to help you. Well she did her job protecting your mans account. If he is your man at all????? So those who read this, Janaya was the problem not Wescom. read more

Just went in to change a 20$ bill to quarters. Got so much attitude from the teller and ultimately was told that since I didnt have an account, I couldn't. This credit union has great rates, a decent website, and a pretty good mobile site. Yet, they lack knowledge on their own products. Or perhaps the purposely do not share information with their customers in hopes to get more fees from them. Either way, their customer service SUCKS. Plain and simple. If you are not willing to do ALL of the research on your own and adhere to all of the rules and regulations they set, this credit union is not for you. I am in the market to purchase a used vehicle. I have excellent credit and a substantial down-payment ready. Wescom approved me for a loan and said that I would only need to put 10% down on the vehicle of my choice. Before they ran my credit I informed them of the year, make, and model of the vehicle I planned to purchase. The failed to inform me that even though I was approved for the full cost of the vehicle, they would only finance up the the retail/trade-in value of the vehicle, not the selling price. I spoke with two different reps who were not able to explain this to me if their life depended on it. After leaving the branch and doing some research on my own, I was able to get all of this information on my old credit unions website in a matter of 2 minutes. If you plan on using Wesom, please do all of your own research beforehand and be sure to keep at least $10 in your account at all times and meet all of the points requirements, or you will be charged a monthly fee to keep your account open with this company. Also, be sure to keep a substantial balance available in your account if you are doing any sort of auto-pay. The system will find any way to charge you late or overdraft fees. read more

I've been a Wescom member ever since I was in elementary school and I've loved it ever since. I haven't had a reason to ever want to switch to another bank. I love Wescom's services and their super friendly and helpful staff. I've always had pleasant experiences for any type of interaction I've had, especially the Ontario branch. When my wife and I were setting up our joint account, they took the extra time and effort to make sure that our needs were met and we were satisfied. I just wish that there were more locations; the locations are few and far in between. If you live nearby, I highly recommend Wescom to be your premier finance institution. read more

What can I say. I Never have a bad experience here. Wescom is great. The workers are great.

I don't like banks and all their fees, so I use credit unions. Being new to SoCal I didn't know of any local credit unions. So I looked around and found Wescom. First of all, this particular branch has THE MOST sour puss faces I have ever seen! It's like they all just got their pink slips in a meeting before you arrive their! My moral was down just by being there. Jessica is the only perky and helpful person there! They have so many requirements when you open up a checking account just to keep your account free. You must have direct deposit. You must use online banking. You must have so much $ in your account every month. You must use a valid email address. you must do this and you must do that! C'MON MAN!!! And what I REALLY hated is that they don't show your pending charges so when you are balancing your checkbook you cant really get it done accurately. There was no overdraft protection either. No thanks! Account closed! read more

This is a wonderful branch. Everyone is always very helpful and pleasant. Transactions are processed very quickly and efficiently.

I always have a great experience with jessica. This time I went to a teller. And she was rude, sarcastic, and disrespectful. When I asked her what her name was, she grabbed her name plate and smacked it against the glass in stead of telling me. I will be writing to the corporate office. I'm sure they would like to know about how she is treating customers! ! So disappointed read more

Just went through a mortgage request with Wescom. Their people are nice enough and their rates are good but they sent an appraiser to my home from a different county from which my home is located. Ended up with a valuation equivalent to the tear downs in my neighborhood and my home has been fully restored and expanded in the last twelve months. If you are applying for a mortgage loan with Wescom, make sure to request that the appraiser is from your local area and understands your immediate housing market. That should be common sense for the lender actually, but it wasn't so in this case. One last tip, if they try to send Top Notch Appraisers to your home, refuse them! They spent less than 15 minutes at the house and treated me like an interruption to their day when I offered them comps that my local real estate agent pulled for the valuation and a schedule of the construction completed on the house. They were rude and couldn't have cared less. read more

So i do not bank with this company, but both me and my boyfriend use their co-op atm at times. Last week my bf was visiting and left his card in the atm. He doesnt live in california so i called wescom the next day to see if they obtained it. They fortunately did. I let them know that i would be the person picking it up because he wasnt in the state. They stated that i would be able to pick up the card. Fast forward to today 5 days after i called 3 of which they were closed, i go in to get the card and the gentleman that helped me stated that he thinks they destroyed the card. He was very polite and nice but when his supervisor SOPHIA came to the window i did not feel that she wanted to help at all. The customer service rep never told me anything about them only holding the card for one day and on top of that The card was used for a lyft ride during the duration it was at wescom credit union. I tried to explain that to her and she insisted that i was lying and she was 100 percent sure that nooone used it. Well then if noone used the card Sophia why was there a charge on it from the 1st? She didnt seem like she cared at all just kept saying we would need to call the bank and dispute it as if we already hadnt already done that. I feel like the supervisor on duty should actually act like she cares about people who dont bank with them instead of being condescending towards us who dont, learn to show a little more empathy because you never know who is going through what. I dont bank with them and because of the way the situation was handled i probably never will. Im glad the amount that they charged the card for wasnt much other wise i would be going through with a lawsuit. read more
