Wenzels is a bakery shop, which sell crusty bread, baguettes, sandwiches, cakes and hot savouries. On order they also sell, celebration cakes, gateaux and party platters.
They also do meal deals like coffee and muffin, or 2 steak slices for £2;50. My personal favourite is two sausage rolls for £1:50 which is delicious, nice crust and soft juicy sausage inside. I'm a real fan pastries ranging from chicken slice, to beef patties. Prices for those are £1:20 to £1;50.
Their granary loaf is amazing, just soft in taste. A bit pricey at £1:50 but hey your paying for quality.
You know when something is homemade, when its not a perfect shape, and in taste. I also like their carrot cake muffin, just lovely!.
At every specific day or holiday (Easter, Christimas, Halloween etc) expect some cake to represent like a Valentine heart cookie, or cake's.
The customer service is good. It helps that this store is situated across Sudbury Hill station, so you can get a bite to eat or drink before work or anywhere else.
The store is open Mon-Sat from 7am to 5pm.
The majority of the Wenzels stores are in greater London except the Baker street store. I think yeah, they do have similar products, and unique ones as well, to Gregg's but i think Wenzels stand on its own concerning quality and the fact you can order cakes for spacial cakes. read more
