Let me set the stage for this 1-star Wendy's review. They have one of those drive-thru setups where once you get in line, you are stuck in line. Let your imagine run free....or read on. Recently, I was on my way to work in the area of this Wendy's with about 30 minutes to spare. I decided to swing by for a junior bacon cheeseburger to curb my hunger throughout my looming work shift. I pulled into the drive-thru with 3 cars ahead of me, and shortly after doing so, a car pulled up behind me. I was committed, due to their drive-thru design. No less than 10 minutes went by before I moved forward again. Mind you, at this point I hadn't even made it to the intercom to order my food, yet. Finally, I crept forward to the menu board and intercom and could see that the person ahead of me had just ordered $113 in food, which by anyone's estimate is alot of Wendy's food! Through the intercom, a pleasant voice informed me, "hello, we just took a large order, I'll take your order in just a few MINUTES." Yes, I put emphasis on the word minutes! I had already been waiting over 10 minutes just to order, now I was stuck in their drive-thru trap, and was being told that it'll be "a few minutes" until I could even order. Great...reminder, gotta be to work soon! To my pleasant surprise, less than a minute went by and a different voice said I could now order. I first asked, "is there anyway I can get out of line without waiting." She apologetically replied no. Then I told her, "I want just a junior bacon cheeseburger, but can I ask if I am going to have to wait for the order ahead of me to be done?" No response. Then I said, "I just want to go, I'm going to be late for work." She said, "do you want the junior bacon cheeseburger?" She heard me! I then informed her, "I do, but I cannot wait any longer." She then recited a total and told me to move forward, which I could not do because the cars ahead of me were still at a standstill. Another 15 minutes passed before I finally got to the window, which I bypassed and went on my way. I ended up being a couple of minutes late for work and hungry. 2 things.... 1. Why do I have to be locked into a drive-thru line? I wish fast food restaurants would rethink this design. 2. If you are going to lock me in a drive-thru line, you have to be better than this! Over 25 minute wait...at Wendy's, or any fast food drive-thru, is unacceptable! As a side note, I completely recognize that the big order ahead of me is just as important as my order. And, looking at this whole thing from another perspective, they ordered 1st so they should be taken care of 1st. But, the Wendy's staff has to be prepared to care for everyone, big order or little. On this one, they decided that prioritizing the big order was more important than the next people in line. We suffered while the big order was taken care of. Not sure that's how it's supposed to go. Either way, i felt they 100% dropped the ball here and I will go elsewhere from now on! read more

When considering the choices of fastfood burgers, it's clear that the food at either Wendy's, BK, Mkd's, or even Culver's for that matter, will produce the same amount of cure for one's hunger. Wendy's serves both frozen-to-grilled burgers and chilled-to-microwaved whole russet potatoes. These products are of neither better nor lesser quality than other afore-mentioned vendors. In a more personal vein, the experience that I received tonight at the Waukesha Wendy's was poor. After pulling up through the ordering lane window, I saw that there were two workers available to receive my order, but neither decided to help me by opening the sliding window. After a couple moments of watching, waiting for service, and wondering if they were still open, a third attendant - the manager - arrived and opened it, asking me to back up to the voicebox. Why didn't the two attendants respond to my presence outside the window? I hope that, if you venture to the Waukesha Wendy's, you receive quick, quality service. read more

Reviewing while sitting in the drive thru line. Why not, nothing better to do since I have been in line for 30 minutes with three cars. Ridiculous!! If you want Wendy's I would suggest to drive from Brookfield to Milwaukee then back. You will still most likely still have your food before I do at this point. This Wendy's location could really use a DEEP cleaning. From the bathrooms, to the soda machine to the counter tops, to the tables. I understand that there are busy times in the restaurant world, but someone should try to stay on top of it... it looked like no one had for a while. Also, the paper towel dispenser in the women's room was hanging by one screw. My food? Warm & tasty. The cashier? He was so kind & friendly. Service? Quick. No complaints there. read more

Final straw for this location. Stopped on a Saturday evening to dine in and the doors were locked. No note or reason even though the dine in had over 90 minutes left. Moved to the drive through where we were third in line. Waited ten minutes, during which the line did not move. Have up and went somewhere else. We will not return to this location. read more

New location for me, never been to this one before and based on the awful service of the Wendys by my house, I'm up for trying other locations. Staff was friendly but the food wasn't all that hot. Temperature that is. I ordered a chicken sandwich and the cheese would not even melt on it because it was old and cold. YUK! My family and I went here for lunch. Our overall experience was "OK". The pros include: food was good and well made. Wasn't thrown together like other fast food restaurants. Staff was friendly. Dining area was clean. The cons: it wasn't "fast" food. For being lunch time (11:45am), they seemed to not have enough staff. The line was long and they only had 1 person taking orders. My guess they only focused on the drive thru. Then finally, around noon, they had a second person taking orders (after we got our food and sat down). At this time, the line was almost out the door. I've been here before, but never thought to write a review. My experience today was nothing but totally pleasant! We came in and there was no wait, around 11 a.m. We ordered and our food was ready quick, we didn't even have a chance to wander away from the counter. We ordered two combo meals, size medium, and whoa! - a medium here is like a large at McDonald's!! We got our ketchup and napkins and straws and found a seat under their sunny glass "pit" area. Our food was very tasty and we definitely couldn't eat all the fries. Should have gotten a small, holy mackerel. There were other patrons but it was never too loud and there was pleasant classic rock playing. When we were headed out, we went up to inquire into a refill on our beverages and one was cheerfully doled out to us. We had expected to maybe have to pay, but nope! You just have to ask. They also happily gave us some ketchup packets, the fancy "dip & squeeze" kind from Heinz, to go with our leftover fries. Nice! read more

Long story short, it's OK. I'll start with the good aspects. Nicely priced food, and nicely prepared. Food tastes pretty good, only complain is soggy fries. Wide selection of beverages is always pleasing. Now to the bad aspects. TERRIBLY slow serving and ordering. I don't know if I came on a bad day or something, but for only about 5 other patrons there, it took FOREVER to order and receive food! Only one person working the counter with no effort! Just slow and lazy! When we got the food, the fries were cold and soggy unfortunately. I will give this place another chance because it could've been a bad day, but if it's the same, I will never come back afterwards. I will keep my review updated for when I come again. read more

Today I purchased a Caesar Salad 1/2 of the lettuce salad w/ chicken (small). The salad was made of iceberg lettuce with a couple pieces of romaine, 3- 1/2" pcs chicken and 4 small pcs of parmesan cheese. At least 1/2 of the lettuce was spoiled, so I did not want to eat any of it for fear the chicken was bad also - so I just threw it away. read more

Just an FYI... Order three meals and the manager asked if we wanted medium or large as if that was all they offered. I looked at my receipt and saw I was charged $.70 extra per meal. She said there is an up charge for medium and large. I told we her we were never offered the regular/small and that the way you said it was deceptive. She also isn't good a math as she only gave me back $.60 per meal. read more

I would just like to tell you I had the best experience at this Wendy's. I haven't been in here for awhile and I was pleasantly surprised. I wanted a delicious salad and the manager at the time made a suggestion. I got the apple pecan chicken salad and it was excellent. I also have pay kudos to an employee there named "Big Daddy". So wishing I would have read the reviews, Thinking they don't really care what people are saying but I say don't visit this establishment. Confirming the long wait in line even though it was not a meal time hour. Was short changed by $10.00 as they claimed I gave them a ten even though I had just been to the bank and absolutely know I gave them a twenty They took the time to do a register reading (or so I've been told). Being considerate of others in line at the drive through, I offered to drive around and come into the lobby, (even though they really didn't seem to care about their customers that were waiting.) I however have an ounce of consideration and felt bad for the many other cars now waiting for their orders. I went into the lobby and the person that was at the window that had taken my money was at the counter to verify that I really came in. He saw me, did not acknowledge or say anything, and then after waiting several minutes, someone came out and informed me that the drawer balanced. I am not in a position to just "$10 so it was frustrating to say the least! I have been a cashier in the past and I understand protocol but as I stated, I am 110% sure I gave him a $20. So I left feeling cheated, only to get home and discover that my order was wrong! (And cold!!) I will never return to this establishment and would warn those that do to recheck EVERYTHING before they leave the drive thru. read more
