I never waste time leaving reviews, but this time I just have to…read more At 5am I dropped into McD's at Stony plain 4201 South Park Drive. Having approached the building, I was surprised by fancy retro-automobile on display by the entrance, I even took a picture of it. I came inside, was immediately approached by Antonio (supervisor) who sincerely greeted me and took my order: two sausage-and-eggers "no cheese". As I was waiting by the till, I noticed that Antonio received two wrapped sandwiches, checked them and said to the kid who made them "no cheese, please". They took it back, returned 30 seconds later, Antonio CHECKED IT AGAIN, said "thank you" to the kid and packed it into bag. That's dictionary definition of "ultimate customer service and attention". I wouldn't have thrown a fit and returned it had they put cheese in it, because I worked at McD's and I know how difficult and exhausting it is (multitasking at the utmost), but when you get such royal treatment and attention to detail your life gets brighter and you want to pass this feeling forward to other people. So, kudos to Antonio, to owners who hire such phenomenal people and create environment where everybody feels like royalty. P.S. As I was leaving, an older gentleman approached me saying: "Good early morning, young man. I noticed you took a picture of that car on display" "Yeah, thing of beauty, isn't it?" "Let me show you something" he took out his phone and showed picture of silver 1969 corvette stingray. "Amazing, looks brand new" - I said. "You want some cappuccino? It's best in town here." "Thank you, sir, I need to get home and have some sleep" He wished me good luck as I left. Hmm...I used to think St.Albert was not bad, now I'm seriously considering moving to Stony Plain.

I've got to agree with that other reviewers. Oy... first world problem but really doesn't make me want to come back. I have to say that the bistro seats outside looked cute and the antique car in glass display was unlike anything I had ever seen at a McD before. Another issue with this location action is that since it's located on highway 16A you can only enter the parking lot from the cross side street. Out of their control certainly but also a hassle and more time consuming than typical parking lots.

Really good quality burgers for a great price. It's that simple, which is why Let's Smash is my…read morefavourite Edmonton burger stop. Burgers are made fresh and smashed just right, not too thin that they crumble at the edges or fall apart in the bun. All burgers are two patty minimum. The most basic burger costs $12, and comes with cheese and a ton of fresh veggie and traditional toppings. A burger combo is $17 and includes a drink. Upgrade to a poutine or a milkshake for a couple of bucks. Their fries are really good, chunky and made fresh. Haven't tried the milkshakes. Proper old-school burger joint food. Compare with fast food and other small local burger places. A quarter pounder at McD's costs $8 these days, crazy. At places like Woodshed or Foxburger, you can't get just a burger, and prices start at $14 (single patty no cheese) or even $20. Drinks are extra. I love these local burger places too, but the burger quality is similar in my opinion, and I really like the style of burger served here. Let's Smash has the Goldilocks "just right" kind of smash, the burger buns hold up to the contents, and the toppings are fresh and flavourful though not as fancy as other places. One time though, I had a burger here that was topped with gyro toppings, specifically the pickled veggies, and it was delicious. We always sit in, there's plenty of seating space, and usually some soccer or European music contests on the TV at a low volume. Service is efficient, order at the counter and have a seat. No alcohol service means less trouble, which is nice for lunch or early supper on Jasper Ave. We generally get friendly service and have never felt forgotten or neglected for the steady stream of delivery drivers.

Delicious burger! Served with fries. Was prepared in 7 minutes. The ambiance is pop music.read more

Had the double with all the toppings, no extras. My friends had a single and a triple. Service was fast and friendly. Burgers were fantastic, fries and milkshakes were terrific too. Drinks: Slam-O-Nade: 9/10, flavor was great, could have been more sour. Love that they add a touch of slush on top! Wild Peach Pie: boyfriend disliked but I thought it was delicious and give it a 9/10. Cherry Pie cocktail: 9/10, great flavor, would get again. Double flatty: 10/10, great flavor, great bun, great meat flavor and moist. Poutine: sadly I hated the gravy but boyfriend liked it. Fries underneath were super crisp and yummy. Next time I'd like to try the fries with "dip". Pickle: boyfriend loved. Great crunch considered the size. Mini key lime pie: 10/10. Crust and filling were both great. A little too much for 1 person post-meal but great size to share and available for takeout too. Milkshake: 10/10 so authentic, creamy, coffee flavor wasn't very strong. Loved that you could see them use the cool milkshake cups, add soft serve, blend.
