But on that day, I needed to deliver some stuff to my son when both of us were pressed for time and fairly hungry. We took our seats at a hightop table and sipped our draft beers -- at a perfect price ($5 for a Miller Lite) -- and watched the cook in the back as he prepped our custom-made burgers. No frozen prefab factory burgers here, folks, just honest-to-goodness primo ground beef and fresh ingredients. We also ordered a basket of wings with varying toppings. The wings came out to the table first and we thoroughly enjoyed them. FINALLY, a restaurant that gets it right with wings: crispy on the breading and tender on the inside, sizzling with flavor! The wings were fantastic! About that time, we could hear rumbling in the parking lot. Not your typical thunderstorm as I had first assumed, but a couple dozen assorted Harleys and road trikes rolling in for a charity ride to help a neighbor struggling with health issues. In the space of about 15 minutes, some thirty adults and kids (this was mostly a family biker group) breezed through the place, displaying a level of polite respect and good manners that would make Emily Post proud. After everyone had finished snacks, drinks and restroom, they hopped on their bikes and headed out. Talk about perfect timing again! We finished our lunch and agreed that when it comes to enjoying a terrific burger in a simple setting, Perfect Timing is the perfect place.
