Both sounded amazing but the gyro seemed a bit more style. the sauce on the Greek sounded delicious and I was wondering what it tasted like. so I asked if I could have a sample and when I tasted I knew I needed to get that on my sandwich. Eventually I decided on the gyro with the sauce added on top, and I think it had to be the most delicious wrap Ive ever had. When I pulled up to Taco John's, I wasn't expecting to be impressed. I was expecting a pretty bad meal, honestly. But this location surprised me. First off, this location was exceptionally clean. I mean, floors were pretty much spotless and all the chairs were in order. Great job to the staff. So, I ordered a few thing: the steak tacos and two street tacos. Now, I know what street tacos are and I know how they should taste (again, I've had taco truck street tacos and restaurant street tacos in Texas. I know my tacos). So, the flavors that Taco John's gives in their street tacos is not authentic. The size is too big for a true street taco. HOWEVER... The flavors that Taco John's serves are still very good. They're more of a "fresh chicken taco" than a true street taco. The flavors that were in the steak tacos were pretty unusual to me. They were a little more...subdued and the flavor was dark. Usually steak is going to have a fajita flavor to it, but these had more of a heavy flavor to it. Hard to describe. So overall, this place doesn't provide..."authentic" flavors.
