But the real reason for the low rating was while I was gone the cleaner knocked the bidet on our toilet and there was a leak. She put a bucket under the leak but she didn't call or text her boss or me let me know there was a leak. I was actually out of town at the time and when I came back my whole bathroom was flooded. Also I had to hire a locksmith when I got back because she didn't understand my instructions to leave one of the doors unlocked so even if she had told me about the leak I couldn't have sent a plumber to fix it anyway because he or she would have been locked out. Honestly it was just tightening a bolt to fix the leak - I was able to do it with my bare hands. So to be clear I'm not complaining about the leak I'm complaining about the failure to communicate about the leak and understand my directions which I actually didn't even get into detail about here. Unfortunately when I gave feedback to the owner and I stated that I was still expecting the cleaning lady to come at the next scheduled date, the owner didn't take it very well and without telling me canceled the date so I was waiting for the cleaning lady to come but she never came. The crew shows up in pairs with matching branded shirts and bags, like a very clean superhero duo. **April 2026 (Nashly & Sylvia):** Move-in deep clean for a 2-bed, 2-bath. The previous situation included dog hair, a balcony with furniture covered in mystery debris, and corners and furniture undersides I emotionally could not face. I added every add-on I could think of: second bathroom, balcony, fridge, oven, the works. They got it all. Immaculate. My move went from "chaos" to "calm," and I will never know what was under that couch, and I'm grateful. **July & August 2026 (Ana & David):** Maintenance cleanings plus the extra bathroom. I signed up for every 3 weeks, then immediately needed to reschedule. Doug did not judge me. Doug just fixed it. **October 2026 (Sylvia & Juan):** I always request the same crew, and Sylvia was FINALLY available again. A reunion for the ages. Everyone is professional, lovely, and someone you're happy to have in your home. For context, I clean daily. I own Bona mops. I have a vacuum I'm a little too proud of. I used to think a responsible adult should clean her own home. Then I witnessed professional, commercial-level cleaning, and I realized I do not have this skill. I'm not sure I could master it even with training, and at my height, some of those surfaces are simply out of my jurisdiction. NeatO leaves my place at fancy-hotel level. I didn't know my apartment could look like that. I no longer see it as an extra housing cost. It's an investment in my life and my living space, and my sanity is part of the rent now. I also paid for outdoor/patio cleaning which they didn't do. When I texted about this, they offered to come back the next day at 1:00. They didn't show up or reply back for an hour then said they would arrive at 3:30. They were here for about 10 minutes, just mildly wiping the deck with rags. All they did was smear the dirt and bird poop on the deck and didn't even clean all areas.
