I usually don't use Yelp for bad reviews I just deal with it but this location has consistently sucked. They seem to close whenever they want??? Sometimes 8:30 sometimes 9:30? Sometimes 9:00? It's so inconsistent. I ordered from the app tonight and went to pick it up 5 min after and the workers were in the store but refused to look at me or acknowledge I was there so I didn't get my food I had paid for lol. Horribly slow recently. They used to be pretty quick but the past couple times I've come here, I end up being in the line for over 30 MINUTES and that's with not that many cars. I could literally drive to H‑E‑B and make burgers quicker than it's been taking to get my fast food. It sucks cause it's the closest "fastest" spot near my job. Never be buzzed and starving without an ice chest full of bottled water, carrots, celery, Laughing cow wedges, and almonds. Because then you just might order a #8 Homestyle Chicken Sandwich meal. First time I let it go. Now it's the second time it's happened. How freaking hard is it to give me my "correct" order of 10 (ten) chicken nuggets. First time I came home and saw only 4. It's strange, but when I eat out, I'm as predictable as Lindsay Lohan's negative drug tests. I always stick with the same menu item. But when I eat at this Wendy's, I often switch between the Baconator and the Bacon Deluxe, which I was in the mood for tonight. Very disappointed... I went out-of-the-way to go to Wendy's (off Slaughter & IH 35) to get my favorite chili (4 large sizes) to enjoy on this cold, windy & rainy night! I specifically asked for hot sauce, crackers onions, cheese and chives for my chili. And to my disappointment, I only received the onions in the chili, crackers and spoons! OK - if I'm traveling on business in some strange city I will always pick a Wendy's if given the chance, because the quality is usually reliable at a good value...Hate to say I'd rather eat at an out of town Wendy's - heck ANY other Wendy's - rather than this one on Slaughter Lane in SW Austin. The last 5 times through the drive-thru they've gotten the order wrong. 9 out of the last 10 times. Seriously. Don't know what is so hard making one classic single with cheese only and one with everything - even when you repeat it four times into the microphone - - but apparently this is just one step beyond for the staff, who always seem disorganized and often very young. On the few times we've gone in to eat, the place has a cramped vibe about it. They also don't seem to keep up with cleaning tables or counters during the lunch rush, which is not appealing. i will admit the food - even when they don't get the order right - is still good. The chicken sand is my favorite. Also one of the more healthy fast food choices out there. Kids always love the burgers and nuggets (again - when they get the order right). So the food is good. I guess we could pull over to check the order every time...but there is no way to do that with pulling out everything in the bag, unwrapping it and peeling back the bun and sipping on every drink. Who has time for that!? It's really strange. I keep going back thinking "the law of averages dictates they'll get the order right this time"...and alas - no such luck. Amazingly square meat patties here the other day. I don't think I have EVER seen them formed into such a perfect geometric square. That includes even when I was a kid and Wendy's burst upon the franchise scene. It was completely uncanny. Almost looked like the advertising pictures! Tasted like normal Wendy's which is A-OK. If I could give no stars I would. Hundreds of flies infesting the interior, including the bathroom. The employee response was that this was because they keep the drive thru door open. This is not normal. They did not appear to make any attempts to correct the situation. Also, their soda dispenser is constantly out of the drinks they allegedly sell. read more

If you own this franchise - what on earth are you doing??? Horrible drive thru service. Straight off the bat I have a $10 dollar bill 10 $1 bills plus 4 quarters. Just gunna go on a rant here but The woman who helped me was not polite at all... gave her $3 in folded 1 dollar bills and 4 quarters to equal $4 for my meal. ( should leave me with $17 total in my wallet right??? ) Then announced that I'm a dollar short at the window, I say are you sure because I know I counted it. Her response... yeah I wouldn't lie to you... woman I work at the Bank right next to you do you think I would miscount the money I just handed you ?! It's called a 3 count method so I know I gave you the correct amount. But to save the embarrassment of embarrassing her with the long line behind me I gave her another dollar and bit my tongue with what I was thinking. I don't care that it was just $4 dollars I'm annoyed at the fact that she gave me horrible customer service with an attitude and thought that (I) was lying about what I handed her... moral of this review is that you don't know who you will have in the drive thru or know what they do for a living. First off, let me state that I grew up loving Wendy's and still do. However, I am giving this location 2 stars out of 5 because they get my order right about 2 out of 5 times that I go there. I've had to call the management about wrong orders in the past, and had this Wendy's not been within a half a mile of my house, I would have stopped going there. Last night, once again, they got my simple order wrong. Instead of the Asiago chicken ranch sandwich, I got the Grilled chicken sandwich which I can't stand with honey mustard sauce on it. As I was placing my order, another customer came in asking for the dipping sauces that they forgot to give him. My order was simple. #1 no cheese, apples instead of fries(they have been out of apples several times) and medium unsweetened tea. Handed the guy $8, he handed me a huge drink & 2 bags. I waited for my change and finally had to ask for it. Opened my burger and it had 2 slices of cheese! Ugh!! Went inside to change it. This is the second time I've had to do this at this place. Got back in the car and there was no straw or napkins. I have NEVER had a problem at other Wendy's and normally rank them as one of the best fast food restaurants.
