I have attended WVC twice, but this time I am completing full-time quarters. Despite all of the challenges that can come with an almost exclusively online experience, most of it was a positive experience. I am an introvert and have really enjoyed the online platform. I am able to work by myself and on my own time (with deadlines). Even after campus opens back up, I will probably continue my studies online. Another big perk to this school is that the cost is very reasonable compared to Universities. I also appreciate how they have Direct Transfer Agreements with other institutions, because I have heard rumors that transferring credits from WVC is not an easy feat. One of the biggest issues that I have run into is that some of the professors have not been prepared for online classes, so I feel like I am missing out on important material. I understand that Canvas has a sharp learning curve but given this is the 3rd quarter of all online, I feel like the kinks should have been worked out by now. I also dislike how they are changing the "MyWVC" portal in the middle of the quarter, because it will take away important study time while trying to figure out a new method of registering for new classes in March. I have been in WVC for a couple of years now, and there have been some ups and downs. First, my only bad experience was that it was challenging to apply there; no one would help me much. Thankfully, my friend told me the necessary steps I had to take to be accepted. Also, I don't particularly appreciate that they have a specific time and date for you to register for classes. I am always in second to last place, and by the time it's my turn, all the classes I want are full. I am always on alert when registration days are while I have met other college students who are not but manage to get into the classes they want because their registration date is first, then mine. So I think it would be fair it was first come, first serve. I have to wait longer to finish my prerequisites for nursing because I had to wait an extra quarter to get the class I needed since it was full by the time it was my turn to register. But other than that, I had great professors, and the place is big and wonderful. I enjoy going to the library to study or check out books I need for classes. read more

Wenatchee Valley College has been a great experience for me so far! I had taken a couple semesters a couple years ago and decided to take a year off to travel and take some time off of school for a bit. They have been very helpful and the process of registering for classes again was very easy thanks to all the staff there. The professors for the most part are very helpful and will answer as many questions that I have as soon as they are able to. Unlike a lot of people in school right now, I am very much enjoying online learning. I am able to get my coursework done at my own speed and as someone who is also working full time the flexibility is very nice. read more

I am currently finishing my second semester at WVC! I am doing the running start program which if you are a junior I 100 percent recommend, because I am regretting not doing it getting a head start. All the professor are so helpful.... you just need to make sure to ask question and email them because they are there to make sure all their students succeeded. Specially during these time when everything i remote. I used to hate canvas when I was at my high school because it was never organized but what you see at WVC all the professor do an excellent job on finding all your assignments and lectures! read more

I'm barely on my first quarter being enrolled at WVC, but so far I've been loving it. My classes are very flexible since I'm doing fully online! I think my instructors are great so far! They respond really quickly and even give you a few options in case you need extra help. Although the classes themselves are really easy, enrolling was a bit stressful, the whole enrollment process was hard to understand but once you get it done, it runs pretty smoothly. I had my high school counselor helping me out with the whole enrollment process. I would be worried for those that don't have help like I did. read more

This is my second semester as WVC student and I am currently enrolled in the running start program. The one thing I can definitely say with confidence is that the staff here is amazing, they are all there ready to help when needed, and most of all understanding of your situations. One of my professors gave me the chance to make up a month's work of late work due to the fact that I had gotten the wrong computer for his class, he understood what I was going through and gave me a chance to make up the work. I am currently a student at WVC and I've enjoyed my experience so far. Most of the teachers are kind and respond quickly to questions, some are a bit tough on you but its understandable since they have a job to do. The courses are pretty simple as long as you stay caught up. The campus isn't bad at all considering the Covid restrictions. Registration was a bit difficult as some paperwork wasn't mentioned then all of the sudden it was due but overall I wouldn't say I've had a bad experience. Definitely recommend! read more

This is my second quarter at WVC and iv enjoyed it tremendously. All my teachers have been very helpful and helped me a lot. I also have not had a bad experience when it comes to my work and going to school, they're all very understanding that some of us need to work to go to school and there is a balance between the two. Also, the registration office is kinda slow at getting back to you, enough bugging did the trick for me though. Overall a great experience and would recommend it. read more

After taking a year off from school, I am glad to be back at WVC. I really enjoy their class sizes because I get to know my professor and my classmates. Most of the professors are kind and will help students out, while others are a bit harder to get through. I would definitely recommend this college as an alternative to going to a university for general studies (AA degree). It is a lot cheaper and they have many scholarships available to students. read more

One of the reasons that made me choose this school, was the cost and how it compares to every other college. It is more affordable than many other schools. I have been attending WVC online part-time for over two years and I am absolutely pleased with all the staff and the flexibility they offer. The registration has been simple and easy to work with and my Professors have gone far beyond my expectations. The only thing I can say is that I have never met my advisor and I have only emailed him once. I can't say that that's good or bad. read more

The small class size is perfect for one on one with professors. Most professors I had were approachable and willing to help and only had a bad experience with one. At the time of applying, I had help from a program I was in, but the staff was there to help when I had questions. Overall, it is a great college, although I wish they offered more programs. read more

I have only been going to WVC for about a month and even though I'm not getting the in-person experience, so far everything has been great. As a running start student I had a lot of confusion and issues with the enrolling process at WVC but other than that I've had a good experience. As far as it goes for the professors, they've been supportive and helpful when I've had any issues or problems with assignments. It seems to be a great college. read more
