It's rare to find grounds these days with even a little bit of grass, and this one delivers -- the outfield is lush, making it a great place to play. The ground itself is huge, which makes clearing the boundary quite a task -- lots of running involved! The AstroTurf wicket has a nice bounce to it, which adds a good challenge for both batters and bowlers. Parking is decent but a little walk away from the actual field. The one downside is the lack of shade -- on a hot day, it can get brutal with almost no trees around. Also, no restrooms close by, which is definitely something to keep in mind. Overall, a solid ground for competitive cricket with a few areas that could make it even better. Four stars!

Such a great park. You have a huge open space for kids to…read morerun around and play... on this particular day, a lot of kids were out playing soccer.. Nice size playground with swings and such.. Decent amount of benches and there is a nice table under a gazebo type situation.. perfect for enjoying a lunch in the park. The best part are the trees!! I had no idea that there were many different trees planted in the park--with the added value of being able to read what kind of tree you were lucky enough to come across. I find that so dope and a great unexpected lesson in science for my LO. She found it quite interesting. And the best kept secret.. there is a butterfly park in the back of the park with seems to be a cool trail.. I was just too chicken to go since it was about dusk and no one else accompanied us. There is also a cute butterfly garden adorned with colorful stones, benches, and paintings. Not much has changed since I came here as a little kid- there are still long walkways in which kids can learn how to ride their bikes, big trees to charade around, and park benches to rest on. Would highly recommend for any family or person looking for a nice place to walk and play.

Everything seems pretty well maintained. Keeping it honest in my review, one thing I didn't like about Heavenly Farms was the air quality. At first I thought it was related to the Canadian wildfires but that shouldn't still be an issue now. I did a little more research and it seems the park is close to some warehouse distribution centers (O'Neill logistics, Creative logistics solutions) southwest of it in Monroe. I'm guessing the bad air I smell may be from idling trucks - google maps satellite view showed quite a lot of them less than a kilometer away.

It gets 3 stars because while it is a very pretty park/area, it is more or less just green space. There's no wow factor, but it serves a nice purpose.

My kids have played all sorts of intramural sports and camps there, the facilities are top notch. I utilize it for the gym, weight machines, ellipticals and treadmills are available by reservation or walk in. The gym has televisions to keep you occupied while you are putting in your workout. The staff is very very friendly. The only knock are the hours, 8 to 9 is good but I would love to see it open at 630 or 7 or stay open until 10pm....again its the one knock and that is to accommodate my own schedule.

Football practice is held across the parking lot, when the weather isn't great. They offer several youth, adult and senior programs as well as the above mentioned Summer camp program. The hike was a moderate trail with some bigger hills up and down and a lot of rocks to watch your footing on. After the hike we were all hungry and ready for some beer. We stopped at Jersey Girl brewing where we all had flights and got a little tour of the place where all the action happens! The only criticism I have is with the lunch. It was very simple: chips, pickles, and homemade sandwiches with meat and cheese. There were a few vegetarian options but it was very heavy on the bread overall. I would love to see some kind of healthier alternative like a quinoa or lentil dish, which I would be happy to help with!

Once the whole hike was done, we drove over to the brewery and Dave got pizza for everyone.
