So much to do here I'll just ramble off a list of what you can find here: walking and biking the miles of paths, tennis courts, grassy areas for solitude, a reflection park with landscaping and stone benches arranged in an oval, barbecue and picnic areas with built in stand up grills, picnic benches and a few covered large areas for entertaining large groups with nearby running water from a hand pump (check park website for availability but I believe it's first come first served for the covered picnic areas), TONS of parking all around the park for easy access, babbling brooks, cute bridges, a really nice man made pond with an island and best yet, BATHROOMS all over!

There's a smaller section for small toddlers (smaller slides, a little house attached to it, etc.) and also a larger section for kids 5+ (larger slides, balance ropes, etc.). Both sections have some overhead coverage but the park itself is not shaded. There's also a separate area where the swings are and also a climbing rock/boulder. There's basketball courts adjacent to the kids playground and a good amount of parking. It's definitely one of the cleaner and newer parks around and would definitely recommend checking it out.

Decent amount of benches and there is a nice table under a gazebo type situation.. perfect for enjoying a lunch in the park. The best part are the trees!! I had no idea that there were many different trees planted in the park--with the added value of being able to read what kind of tree you were lucky enough to come across. I find that so dope and a great unexpected lesson in science for my LO. She found it quite interesting. And the best kept secret.. there is a butterfly park in the back of the park with seems to be a cool trail.. I was just too chicken to go since it was about dusk and no one else accompanied us. There is also a cute butterfly garden adorned with colorful stones, benches, and paintings. Not much has changed since I came here as a little kid- there are still long walkways in which kids can learn how to ride their bikes, big trees to charade around, and park benches to rest on. Would highly recommend for any family or person looking for a nice place to walk and play.

But, as one of the only fully fenced parks in the neighborhood, it has a fantastic setup to control the chaos that is the toddler phase. The park features a couple sets of swings, a few small areas with interactive pieces for smaller children, and a red merry-go-round that survived the 2023 park renovation. While I wouldn't recommend this park for older kids or those in the upper grades of elementary school, it's a perfect way to kill an afternoon with littler gremlins.

Splash pad and playground is a great, free activity for kids under 5 to do for a couple of hours on…read morea hot day. Bring a lawn chair, so that you can sit underneath a shady tree. Also, have kids wear water shoes because the ground is hot. The splash pad consists of 10 or so (very little) jets of water, just enough for the little ones to get wet. Public bathrooms available. I believe the splash pad water starts at 11:00 a.m. When we were there there was an ice cream truck so make sure to bring cash just in case.

This park is filled with wonderful treasures! They have held so much within this park, I don't know…read morewhere to begin but I will say, there is something for everyone! They have a great field for baseball. Please note, Freehold Little League is held here so if there is a game, parking will be hard. They also have many playgrounds for kids. They seem to have themed playgrounds so that if you are meeting other parents, just say, "we'll convene at the blue or pirate ship playground" and everyone will find it. They have a fenced in skateboard ramps for tweens and up which I personally think is a fabulous idea. The ramps are spaced and curved only for skateboards. Longboards should definitely stay only on the paved paths where they belong. Speaking of trails, their trails are mixed between paved and dirt. You can safely go on a light walking trail here either solo or as you are walking your dogs. They also provide a few stations with plastic bags for the owners to clean up after their dogs. They also have basketball courts, dog runs, picnic areas, a spray ground on hot summer's days and my favorite, a sports field with obstacle courses. Perfect for the bigger kids with lots of energy and to build coordination. I went in March where things are just somewhat starting to bloom. I can only imagine the splendor in late June where everything will be fully bloomed and the grass will be lush. I look forward to revisiting this park, especially when it's Freehold Township Day where there will be plenty of fireworks, rides and the Vets car show!

The path is mostly flat with a mix of sunny and shady areas with water fountains to cool down. Just while searching for beaches in a 30 minute driving radius, we ran into this gem of a park that's so well maintained. They have ample free parking and the walk to the bay is so quick. The bay might not be the best to walk on as sand is relatively less with more gravels and getting down to it from the stairs is little difficult even for well grown adults. This could definitely be wheelchair accessible in a certain way. They also have few picnic enclosures and a memorial to one of their town's fallen soldiers. The walking pavement is neatly laid out for a calm, peaceful and relaxing walk. We went on overcast conditions and had to return to the car just before the rain caught up. Will definitely return here for summers to watch the sunset in this beautiful bay/park.
