Lightbridge Academy@East Brunswick I write this review as a…read moreconcerned parent and want to share my experience with Lightbridge Academy in East Brunswick. I enrolled my 2.5 year old child here and we had to pull out in a month's time due to negligence in many aspects. I am ok with that too but Regina, who runs the center, absolutely gives no value to your feedback ignoring everything you say. We are vegetarians and we explictly told not to share his food. To our surprise, they still let kids share food. I understand that it can happen with kids being kids. When we spoke to Regina, she absolutely ignored us. No parent will appreciate kids sharing food in daycare during COVID. There were multiple instances where kids did not wash hands after playing outside. Last Wednesday, my son came home compaining stomach ache which was followed by fever the very same night. We called doctor and they asked us to watch out till Friday but it did not improve. We went to Doc's office Saturday and got result Tuesday and turned out COVID positive. Nobody ever called us to check why my child was not coming to Daycare. Still, we called and informed daycare that my child was tested COVID positive. Next day, we checked with our friend whose child goes to same daycare but they did not inform them either to keep watch. If you are looking for daycare around East Brunswick, I suggest look for alternatives.

But I had such peace of mind leaving my one year old with the incredible staff at Lightbridge. The front office staff, teachers, and assistants were all the most lovely people and took such wonderful care of my baby. I loved that they had a well thought out curriculum and an excellent app where I could see updates about naps, feedings, diaper changes, photos, and videos. I also loved that they had a lunch option. It made my life so much easier to not worry about packing a lunch every day! They also had cute activities on some weekends, like "mommy and me" pictures. The center is very clean, and they take health and safety seriously. I'm so sad that we had to move and couldn't continue sending our daughter and any future children to this center.

The teachers are caring, patient, and truly attentive to each child's needs. The environment is always clean, safe, and full of positive energy. I would especially like to thank Mr. Tariq, the owner, for his outstanding leadership. He is kind, professional, and clearly dedicated to creating a nurturing space for children and peace of mind for parents. I am very grateful for the love and support my daughter received every day. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a trustworthy and caring place.

Dana is a highly experienced, deeply principled professional who poured her heart into this role. She was consistently praised by families for her leadership and the genuine care she brought to the school community. Unfortunately, her time here was marked by persistent professional undermining from ownership. Over time, support from leadership--particularly from Rick--deteriorated to the point of complete silence, making it extremely difficult for her to carry out her responsibilities. This was not just discouraging; it was incredibly undermining and unsustainable. While many of the positive reviews may reflect genuine experiences, it's also important to consider that current staff and families can feel pressure to remain silent or offer only praise. My intent is not to disparage, but to offer a fuller picture of the internal culture--one that, in our experience, lacks transparency, professionalism, and respect for the very individuals who work tirelessly to support the children. I sincerely hope Rick and Rena reflects on the treatment of their leadership and take steps to foster a more respectful, accountable environment. Families deserve to know that the people entrusted with their children are also supported and valued. Good luck to you guys in your future at the schools you have- it is to my understanding that you will absolutely need it.

I visited on a weekday and perhaps that made all the difference in the world. My experience form beginning to end was fantastic. I think one thing that seems to bother most people is the BBQ lunch. The BBQ lunch was apart of my package and when I arrived they were just loading the buns to be taken out on the river. I'm getting a little ahead of myself here but you'll understand in a minute. When I arrived, there were already several eager adventurous folks checking in, buying waterproof items for sale, collecting their water rafts and some even already on the water. I checked in with my Groupon and as directed, I left my keys - collected my Kayak and proceeded to the bus. Please note, the rule is, everyone must wear a mask until you're actually on the water; great rule as it gets crowded in the shop as well as on the bus. It keeps everyone safe. I chose the kayak experience which was awesome but the real fun is in a tube. After my journey down the river, I immediately purchase another Groupon just so that I could come back and have a tubing experience. So, back to the BBQ lunch. By the time I paddles my way down (a few signs for the waters edge for direction) to the BBQ shack on the water, they were still setting up. I guess I paddle too fast. I decided to keep moseying down the river as I had already packed a lunch just in case after reading the reviews about the BBQ shack not being up and running. Oh well, next time I'll enjoy a burger. Again, this is the perfect mid week escape. The ride outside of NY is quick and there's plenty of parking. Although it says Delaware tubing it's actually located in New Jersey; well at least the border between the two. I would recommend going early and taking as much time as you like in a tube with family and friends. I would also recommend bringing children as they will develop a lifelong love of being on the water. I'm a big fan now and I can't wait to return in a few weeks. P.S. I was told by my bus driver, they offer a fall foliage experience where they only allow kayaks on the river.

I especially love that you're allowed to bring your own food, and there's even a place to grill, it makes for a fun, relaxed day. They do have a small place where they do sell food but why bother when you can bring your own. There are several splash pads, slides perfect for younger children like my 4-year-old daughter and even 10 month old, and there are also rides and attractions suited for older kids and adults. My kids have the best time here. Just a heads-up: tickets can only be purchased starting at 5 PM the day before your visit, so plan accordingly. Overall, it's a great spot for a family day out.

The cashiers are friendly, and the park is clean too. Even the bathrooms most times. (They have constant maintenance on the bathrooms.) They have three slides, the red one is my favorite! They also have a pool that extends into the lazy river, and a lily pad/ log cross. If going to Crystal Springs bring your own chair off you can. Chairs are hard to find, especially when it's busy. The only thing is you have to purchase tickets online with a credit card. It should be optional whether to buy at the gates or online, but still, i can spend hours here.
