Well, they do have two self-checkout machines next to the cashier. Pharmacy is usually the busiest area among the store, the wait time is within 10 min, if you have 4 people ahead of you. The store is clean and quiet. People seem to come here for designated items and prescription, in and out. I am here to use my coupon today, so I have opportunity to check out each isle when I try to get inspirational. There are many discounts toward various item, and they are 95% fully stocked for off-the-shelf items. As of pharmacy, Claritin-D is out of stock, and Covid-19' home test kit is out of stock for this location. When you have one manufacturer coupon and one cvs store coupon toward the same single product, the store honors both coupons at the same transaction, which is very good for the customer. But if you have two cvs coupons on one same item, you can only use one at a time.

He seemed to be the only one there and I heard him do the same to every other person that walked in as well. On top of that, when he saw me looking a little aimless, he promptly asked if he could help me find something. And then on top of THAT when my arms were getting a little full (because you never just get the one thing you came in to get) he got me a basket. Again, he was the only one there, so this was while working the register. He was just awesome and so pleasant and I wish I got his name. Staff at the fish section are always friendly and if I am not sure about a fish/shellfish, they point me in the right direction for what I need for whatever recipe I am making. Meat section is expensive, but I like the cuts and the freshness of the items, they have fresh rabbit which I am huge fan of eating in stew. Lamb is also very much a staple so they have plenty of options, bone in, bone out, chops and legs. Produce is everything I need especially hard to find items like lemon grass. I do like the pre cut fruits so they have watermelon and mango which is perfect for lunches and after dinner dessert. Deli section the guys are very nice and always slice what I need, sometimes I ask for the end pieces and they are ok with weighing and wrapping it, I have been to other markets and they give attitude or refuse to weigh and wrap it for me. If it is the case, it can be sold!! So, is Wegman's a little pricier than other markets, yes, but you really can't surpass the quality and variety of items. I shop here twice a month and on average spend between $250.-$400. depending on shopping needs for the weeks food items. I also have to add a comment on the restrooms, I can only comment of the ladies, once I made the mistake and went to the staff ladies lounge restroom.. but both the public and staff are clean and well stocked with the basics.

So I have always loved this store. However today may be the day that I never go back. The last few…read moretimes I have been at the store they have a rope blocking the self check out lanes. Today I had multiple issues with the one register, and at one point I opened the rope to walk over the the cashier and the manager came over and closed it. I asked him why it was even up as customers are being forced to walk between others waiting online. His reply was you have to walk by the cashier. I said but going this way you still do that. He refused to answer. The register again acted up a few moments later I again opened the rope as I had my 2 small children with me and was not willing to walk too far from them. He them came and locked it. I said to him that he is rediculous, and this is how you lose customers. After a third register problem I finished my order and promptly moved the rope entirely to leave. I dont get the purpose as it is causing extremely long lines forcing shoppers to be stuck in aisles and have people walk through aisles after payment. The manager was a complete jerk and his whole point doesnt even make sense. If im going to bag and scan my own groceries pay for a shopping cart and be treated like a criminal and locked into area all for 4 cents off grapes you can keep them ill shop elsewhere.
