I cannot believe the filthy condition of the pharmacy area. I was waiting for my medications, that area was filthy. Looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in months. Truly upsetting, with all the germs and health issues out there, it was unsettling. Tried to reach headquarters, they don't have a email for customer service. Very disappointed. read more

Worst CVS pharmacy I've been to, and most of them are pretty bad. Believe the terrible reviews. They dispensed the wrong medication and then claimed that what my doctor called it in, which is not possible (he didn't even know what the med they gave me was for). Instead of just admitting the mistake, the person I spoke to told me to come back for a refund but that I had to contact my doctor to get the right script called in (again). The person who did the refund had a giant attitude. The next time I went back, the person in front of me had been given someone else's medication. Gonna go out on a limb and say that it's probably not a coincidence. read more

This store is dirty. There is a thick layer of dust on all shelves and products near the minute clinic area in the back. The same area in which they give shots and administer medical treatment. The upkeep and cleanliness of the store in general is pretty poor. The customer service ranges from mediocre to exceptionally bad. No one smiles or seems happy to help you. I once heard the pharmacy technician call a patient an "asshole." Generally, I think the morale of the employees is quite low. There are many places nearby you can go to get a prescription filled, (Shoprite, Costco, Walgreens), and there are certainly more cost effective place to shop (as we know the prices are CVS are high). I, personally, think CVS is a good company from a values standpoint. I believe this store must have bad management, and the attitude and morale flows down from the top. If you are dead set on shopping at CVS, I prefer the CVS located inside Target, in Middletown, as they are held to a higher standard being inside of Target. They are much cleaner and employees are much nicer. If you aren't particular about it being a CVS, then I'd recommend one of the other local places I mentioned above. read more

This was my hubby and my first time here today for our Covid vaccines..we live about 20 miles away but this was the closest location which had them. All I can say is I wish we lived closer because Everyone at this location is so nice and helpful..it's apparent they all love their job and the people they work with as it reflects in their smiles and friendly, courteous customer interactions! read more

If I could do ZERO stars, I would. Every single person that works in the pharmacy department is so extremely rude, unhelpful, and lacks in anything related to customer service. I work in customer service and I waited in front of the pharmacist for 8 minutes (yes, I timed it after I noticed it was longer than normal) while she was typing on the computer. Two women were working (Goomey? and someone else). Once she finished, she didn't greet me or anything, just held her hand out for my prescriptions. Great start, somehow she was hired with that gleaming attitude. Neither of them even acknowledged me for that matter. Apparently, my prescription wasn't written to her standards, and she decided to reprimand ME, the customer, saying that my prescription needed to be handwritten. How would I know? For the record, I'm not a doctor, nor did I write my own prescription. A very similar situation happened to me a second time. I've never brought any prescriptions back. Honestly, they are the worst. read more

Had to run in and get a card and while i was walking to register, I saw a special on makeup wipes and knew my daughters needed them. They were 13.00. Assumed that was a good price as it was a "special". Stopped at Harmon to get some other items and exact same item for 9.50. I purchased from Harmon and went to return at CVS. They STILL are not doing returns. I strongly suggest that no one shop at CVS and go to Target, where they accept returns and prices are better or Harmon where prices are WAY lower. There is NO advantage shopping at CVS and I am stuck with these overpriced wipes. By the way, I asked when they will accept returns and got "when this whole thing is happening over..." SMH read more

Worst pharmacy ever. Just tried to fill a prescription for a special cream for my 8 month old - there was a man clearly not of sound mind who went up to the pharmacist multiple times to ask questions, interrupting service of the other folks trying to get medication. Instead of calling the store manager, or calmly telling him that there are other customers and he needed to wait, she continued to respond to his questions, some of them medical in nature that should've went to his PCP. Hopefully it was good advice but my sick 8 month old didn't appreciate being kept out past her bedtime because this woman couldn't do her job. Not a good look, CVS. read more

Horrible service. I've gone back numerous times and every time I encounter the same male rep being nasty. I would give less then zero stars.

The front desk is fine. The pharmacist is deliberately rude and the service the worst I have seen anywhere. There was a glitch with a prescription and he made me call the insurance company. They approved after an hour on the phone. Then we called the pharmacy together and he said I needed a new prescription, so all the time was wasted. This was deliberate harassment of a customer. I plan to move all prescriptions elsewhere. read more

This CVS Pharmacy is going to kill someone one day. Back in September one of my daughters had a prescription filled at the Hazlet CVS. Upon getting home, she started to ready the instructions/ information that is provided with the medicine. The information sounded strange to her so she looked at the bottle only to discover that she had someone else's medicine. Of course she returned to the pharmacy and was able to correct the mistake. In October I had to fill a prescription so I went to my convenient CVS. After paying for the medicine I returned to my car. Remembering my daughters experience, I opened the bag and looked at the prescription bottle and guess what????? I had someone else's medicine. Are you kidding me? They made the same mistake twice within the same family. In Mid-December I had to fill a prescription once again. I had recently changed my benefits provider so I gave the pharmacy additional information pertaining to my refill thinking that I might aid them in fulfilling my prescription. After 9 days and several phone between CVS, myself and my Doctor, I finally receive a text that my prescription was ready. I then go to the store to pick up my prescription only to find out that my medicine had gone from $8 to $89. I understand that not all medical benefits are created equal. However, do you think perhaps a phone call to inform me of the price change could of been made? After 9 days of of trying to get them to speak to my doctor and insurance company not one of these "customer service" types at the store had the presence of mind to call me and inquire what I might want to do. Upon finding out the increase in price I asked why I was never called. The 3 people behind the counter all looked at each other dumbfounded. After several seconds with no reply I asked for the manager. Turns out I was speaking to the manager..... Are you kidding me?????? It is plain to see that the people CVS has work in their Hazlet store and untrained in how to provide anything that looks like "customer service". Plus their standard of care in providing the correct medicine to the correct customer subpar to say the least. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE AND YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER. read more

Couldn't tell me if they had my prescription in stock after three other pharmacies including two other CVSs did.

Heena Patel the pharmacist read my prescription wrong and instead of owning up to her own mistake decided to double down. She said my doctor "regularly makes mistakes" while writing prescriptions and forgot to put the date on my prescription? Sounds weird right? Well I went back to pick up the prescriptions and I immediately notice the date, although written weirdly squished together, was clearly visible. I bring this to her attention and instead of ADMITTING TO HER MISTAKE decides to tell me she "checked the prescription thoroughly and the date was not there". So basically I'm a criminal? So let me get this straight my doctor is incompetent and always makes mistakes and now I'm a felon because I supposedly wrote in the date? I should work for the FBI since I can apparently forge prescriptions in a matter of seconds and make all the hand writing look exactly the same. U MUST BE OUT OF UR MIND. LITERALLY. We're all human, we make mistakes, but to throw ur mistakes on the doctor and his patient is completely ridiculous, disrespectful, and uncalled for. I've had the same prescription and medication for years, nothing has changed. Seems to me based on the other reviews she likes to call the shots and disrespect customers of CVS and possibly discriminate based upon medication. I have no idea. I mean these people know everything about us, they have my medical history in their face, my address, social, everything. Maybe she doesn't like my doctor since she took it upon herself to bad mouth him. Whether he makes mistakes or not is none of my business and should not have been said to me. And CLEARLY UR THE ONE MAKING MISTAKES!!! My family has been going to this pharmacy for at least 10 years and WERE DONE. Which I told her and she smiled and said that's fine. I also reported her to the district manager. U don't withhold people's medication and then accuse their doctor and them of nonsense because of UR INCOMPETENCE. Disgusting behavior. I appreciate being blatantly called a criminal while just trying to fill my medication. I hope someone treats ur family member like that one day so u can see how it feels. read more

A decent CVS with a pharmacy and minute clinic conveniently located right off 35. Due to it's larger size is has a slightly better selection of home goods. I went in to pick up a prescription. There was no line and the pharmacist was kind and quick. Next time I get the sniffles I know where I am going. read more

Local drugstore, get my prescriptions here and they are always very helpful and attentive. Nice selection of items and average prices.

Great place!!! I get all my pills there and they never lose them. I have been getting my pills here since I was a week old!

I would just like to extend a much deserved Kudo's to the Pharmacy Department at CVS of Hazlet. The over worked and under-paid staff has always been helpful and knowledgable. This all being done seamlessly while, answering the constantly ringing telephone, taking care of the drive up, checking in new drop off scripts and additional questions and stopping to then ring customers at the register? I'm sorry, did I mention the task of actually filling the prescription. Corporate should not expect of their staff, what they would not be able to do themselves. Dropped off a prescription at noon. They Said it would be 45 minutes. Said I would stop by after work. It is out of my way but needed prescription. Walked in and found it was not ready. It was 5 hours later much longer than the 45 minutes they committed. They said they were back logged. Then why the 45 minutes commitment? Waited for my prescription after a long day. Will go somewhere else from now on. read more
