Parking was easy (and free)…read more The imaging center was easy to find - it's next to the entrance to the main hospital and has a large letter marker on it so you can see it. I walked in and essentially had no wait. The workers were courteous. I liked the CT technician, he was really nice. Everything was super fast and easy. It was so quiet walking through the area in there! It was a little spooky actually lol. My scan was at 4:30 so maybe everything else was wrapped up for the day already. Either way I don't mind, everything was finished before 4:30 even hit! This imaging center is very professional and seems to be running very smoothly. Hopefully I don't need anymore scans, but if I do there's a good chance I'll be back!

There's too much bottleneck going on with our broken health care system.. and having found your company has been a blessing to us because I don't know if my husband could have waited several more days just to have someone call for an appointment to see him days later and then wait days later to get results.. My husband was pleased with the service and caring staff at the Brookhaven location! Special thanks to you Dr. Brian Gay for explaining his MRI scan in full details both written and verbal. After weeks of back and forth between Pain management doctors and Physical therapy.. we are now awaiting on approval for surgery... I can't say thank you enough! My husband described your facility as welcoming atmosphere. Staff was terrific and helpful. As we all know MRI's are not cheap, IN or OUT of network. To top it off, it's a waiting game. Our MRI for one body part cost us $499 and worth all the money we spent! I don't even care that we are not able to process a claim with United Health Care! What Dr. Gray did by explaining in detail gave us knowledge of knowing what was going on, and what was causing the pain. We went to the pain doctors office with knowledge and understanding. Most patients don't even get to see what their MRI looks like, I was able to watch the video and do research on his condition so I was prepared to ask questions. I did notice that 2018 the cost was $399 and now 2019 it was $499 but I'm not sure how long the $399 cost was.. other than that.. I will pay it all over again!!

I've been aware of self-scheduling self-pay MRIs for a few years now, but this was the first time…read moreusing it. On the plus side, it was simple to use and easy to get a quick appointment. The scan itself produced good images and came with an accurate interpretation from a radiologist. But while I got the results that I needed, I don't think that this service is the right fit for everyone. It was super easy to schedule. They have an online scheduling form, and it was also easy to get a next day appointment (I don't think a lot of people are using the service). I paid a $50 deposit toward a $499 scan and paid the balance when I arrived. You can choose to pay an additional $100 to have an explanation attached. You get an official radiologist interpretation either way, so I assume that someone breaks down the medicalese for you. I didn't opt for that. The scan was about what I expected it to be. I do have some concerns about the MRI tech. From a customer service standpoint, she was not at all welcoming and did not introduce herself. The office was obviously set up to be customer service oriented, with a coffee bar and drink refrigerator and cups of chocolates. She didn't offer any of the amenities and even tried to hide the bowl of chocolate behind her counter. From a patient safety perspective, she also did not make any effort to go through the screening questions that determine whether it's safe for you to have the MRI or not. MRIs are safe from a radiation standpoint, but can be really dangerous because there are incredibly powerful magnets involved. In fact, there was a recent highly publicized case of someone being killed in an MRI scanner. I filled out an online questionnaire, but if I had not understood the questions, and made a mistake, she didn't make any efforts to clarify it. But she did the scan and the machine made all the expected cacophony that MRI machines make. She sent me away with a CD of the images and I had an official interpretation in my email box about four hours later. I also had my orthopedist cousin review the images and the interpretation. He felt that the images are adequate (so it's not a "stripped down" version of a real scan) and the interpretation was thorough. It did leave out a lot of the technique that I'm used to seeing (I'm also a physician, but not orthopedist), but I'm sure that most of you don't care about that anyway. So my feeling is that the walk in MRI definitely can have a useful place. If you're anxious to have an answer and it's impacting your decision-making (mine was whether I could safely continue to play soccer despite the pain), and you're willing to pay for it (in my case, if I'd waited for insurance to approve it, it'd have been next year anyway, and probably would have cost more if I hadn't met my deductible yet). As a physician, I would *not* personally recommend the total body scans that they offer for people with no symptoms of any abnormality.

It's so weird how so many different patients can have so many wildly varying experiences with the…read moresame doctor - and not just Dr. Gardner - but you see it all the time with all doctors. Oh well . . . I went here because, after doing a Google search, I discovered they were one of the few physician's office near me that offer XTRAC laser treatments for psoriasis (and vitiligo). I found my first visit with Dr. Gardner was fine - and I felt that he had a great bedside manner. I was a bit surprised that he didn't come back after the biopsy to tell me what to expect - because MAN - I was not prepared for the excruciating pain later that night - or the pain and sensitivity over the next few days. It was bad - even if I wiggled my ears - it sent ripples of pain across my scalp. But I digress - with the exception of one experience with one person - I found the staff to be excellent, including the front desk / scheduling team (gotta give a shout out to Denise - since she shares my name) and the PA and Nurse Practioner, Sarah and Sandy, respectively. I actually didn't think I needed a biopsy - having had one 8 years ago on the exact same spot - and Dr. Gardner 'kind of' insisted. Let's just say he 'strongly recommended' the biopsy- MULTIPLE times over the course of the 15 minutes. He said that while he certainly COULD give me steroid injections or XCTRAC treatments - but didn't want me to waste money because neither of these options had even a remote chance of working if f I didn't have psoriasis. So I did the internal eyeroll, thinking the biopsy was going to be wasting a lot of money (self-pay) for nothing and consented. Turns out - this spot that's been plaguing me for years and growing, threatening to turn me into Sherman Hemsley - the very same spot that the previous biopsy indicated that, it was psoriasis - turn's out it isn't. I saw the FNP, Sandy last Friday to remove sutures and discuss treatment for lichen simplex chronicus and I'm hopeful that they can help get my scalp back to a normal, healthy condition.
