My mom was in this facility several years ago, so when she needed therapy again, this was the first place that came to mind. She was also there about 12 years ago so this makes her third time at this facility. Sadly, when she was there about two years ago (2022) and compared to now, we noticed that the level of care has significantly declined. Her therapy is never scheduled so she has to rush to stop what she is doing to meet with the therapist. There are times when she comes back from dialysis and the therapist is waiting for her. She does not have time to eat lunch or recoup from dialysis.
She missed an appointment with her cardiologist while she was there because no one told her or her family members that she had a follow-up appointment after having a pacemaker implanted. Then the following week, she was told that she had an appointment with the cardiologist when she did not. I had to reschedule the follow-up appointment after the doctor's office called me and and informed me of the missed appointment. They had her get dressed anyway and wait in the lobby for a ride that never came because she did not have an appointment.
When she rings the call light, she has to wait 45 minutes for a nurse or an aide to come and put her on the bed pan which is a long time to wait when you have to use the bathroom. This is ridiculous and unacceptable! None of the staff wear name badges so she never knows who is coming into her room. For all we know, it could be an outsider from the street coming in to give her a bath, put her on the bed pan, or take her to the bathroom.
There is so much more that I can say. But I will end with do not put your family member in there. It made me sad when my mom said "the next time I have to go to rehab, take me somewhere else." read more
