Grace and her husband bought the farm in June of 2021, so nothing before that time should be considered. I am adding my review to help provide information about current experiences at Fantana Farms. I have taken my dogs for boarding at Fantana Farms three times since January of 2022. We love Fantana Farms. My two dogs visit often for both long weekends and stays of more than 7 days. We love Fantana Farms so much that we drive from Atlanta to Covington to make sure our dogs have the best care while we are away. I am a cautious pet parent who does not like dog parks or most boarding facilities. I worry about the lack of oversight and dog fights. At Fantana Farms, I can leave my dogs without worry. Grace will monitor all the dogs and choose another dog to play with my dogs during a small and well supervised romp each afternoon. I like that thought is taken when putting dogs together for play and that is is only a very small group. Finally, one other thing I love is that we can pay a small fee to get the dogs washed and cleaned before pickup. This is huge. At the end of a vacation, the last thing I want to do is give my two dogs a bath as soon as we pick them up and bring them home.

I've been looking for dog trainers for over a year, but a lot of Atlanta dog trainers use e-collars--even for basic training of non-aggressive dogs--which I do not like. Luckily for me, on one of my many trips to Lenora Park, I saw Darrell traininAlarm clock for 130 g a dog. At first, I thought it was his dog because the dog was extremely attentive...and then I saw him give the dog to the owner "for practice"; and the dog wasn't as attentive. After a few words to help the owner realize what she was doing wrong, the dog was attentive and the owner had a huge smile on her face. This was all in a span of 5 minutes so it was amazing to watch!  The following week, I saw Darrell training two more dogs and the same thing happened... To me, it was like magic so I flagged him down to get more information / get his business card.  When I got home, I went to his website and thought his training prices were pretty high, so I didn't immediately reach out. Fast forward two months, my YouTube training videos weren't working (haha :) ) so I organized a group training session with Darrell and we definitely learned a lot. Like they say, "You get what you pay for!!"  Side-note: there was a slight miscommunication with scheduling but Darrell was more than gracious to make it up to us. He offered us a free, 1-hour training session so I was very impressed! But it also made me wonder why a few low ratings complained about Smith Farms' customer service?? Granted, it was only two reviews, so I'll just assume those reviewers had unrealistic demands. Lastly, I will definitely refer more friends to Darrell / Smith Farms dog training, and if I ever need to board my dog, I will definitely try their boarding. I'm also going to try them for grooming, too!

I'm not sure why they have any negative reviews, they've taken my "panicked/dog ate something) calls and responded immediately, to scheduling regular visits and following up after I take my furbabies in. Dr. Covall is my current pups vet, but I've had the pleasure to work with all their Vets and never had a bad experience.

BEWARE OF COUNTRYSIDE VET in Jersey/Covington! We have a horse therapy non-profit and have been…read moreloyal clients at Countryside Vet for over ten years with 13 horses and several dogs and cats. We never disputed a charge and always kept our account paid and up to date. We had an injured donkey that literally couldn't walk and Dr. Brown came out that day and told us that she just had a bruised heel. It seemed odd for how much pain she seemed to be in but we believed her and put her on bute and contained her in a small area as she suggested. A few days later we called her out again because there had been no improvement and she said it was because our farrier had not trimmed her feet often enough. We knew this was not correct because we just had her trimmed and the injury was very sudden. We just tried to do our best and keep her contained and on pain medication. They next week we were on vacation a couple of weeks in Japan and the barn manager called them out. Dr. Brown did over $600.00 worth of X-rays without calling us to authorize and still did not diagnose her. When we returned our farrier came out and told us she had two bowed tendons. He is familiar with Dr. Carter and was so shocked that Dr. Brown had not known that immediately the day it happened he said he would call personally to help us dispute the X-ray charge. We have attempted six times to speak with Dr. Brown or Dr. Carter regarding this and they refuse to contact us. We received a notice from a collection company for the $600 00 bill instead. Dr. Brown misdiagnosed two other horses at the barn at which we boarded; one was a simple thrush issue that she padded the bill to over $1,000 and another was a tooth surgery where she damaged an eye during the surgery and billed to remedy the mistake she made into the thousands. This was also price gouging a different non-profit. It's sad to think they would lose a loyal client for over ten years over a $600 mistake that they are responsible for.

After four…read moreand a half hours of no communication, I go up there to see four people on staff, a very quiet salon, not a single soul working on a dog, and my dog immediately barking and sitting in a kennel with NOTHING done. They were talking about "oh you can wait another hour and we can do it." Lol what??? What were yall doing all day?? Telling me it takes five hours to be groomed. No it does not. He is a five pound yorkie mind you. Couldn't even answer my text or calls about my dog, that's how you know you're in the wrong and when I get there and y'all are just standing around. I took my dog and immediately left. Do NOT trust these people with your animals. They don't care about their jobs or your fur babies, it is very clear.
