I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed about 8 hours ago and I feel great! The procedure was shorter than I ever imagined and I hardly felt a thing! Dr. Sanchez went over every aspect of the procedure before he began and even guided me through breathing techniques to help ease my anxiety! To top it all off, I was offered an iPod to listen to while the drilling and pulling was going on-- thank goodness for that! Last but certainly not least, the staff here are amazing. When I contacted the VA directly, I was told the request had already been sent back to the office due to an incorrect billing code they submitted. The office never informed me of this and continued to say they were "waiting on the VA." I also called about a cracked bridge and was told I would get a call back. Three days later, nothing. When I followed up, I was told the same thing again with no answers. Staff become dismissive and short when you ask questions, and no one takes accountability. It feels like they don't want to deal with VA patients, and the lack of communication has delayed my care for months.

I would recommend this place for routine cleaning, check-ups, and cavity filling (bummed I had a cavity, first time since I was a kid). I would strongly advise you to go elsewhere if you're considering cosmetic dental work. Options were not sufficiently explained before it was done. I'd ask questions and often get vague responses. Before retiring, the dentist I had been seeing before coming here said that I "was a perfect candidate for Invisalign". Here, they didn't mention that option to me at all. I was told that I was there for a "consultation" the day they wired my teeth. I nearly walked out when it became apparent that they were getting ready to wire my grill, but I let them talk me into it. They clearly wanted to make all the decisions and just send me a bill. They did not seem overly concerned with doing the job well. I'm off to a different orthodontist now, after spending thousands of dollars and months of time. Again, most of the people and my experiences here were good, but you need a truly skilled orthodontist to trust with cosmetic work, and I did not find that here.

But Dr. Swanson and his team has completely changed that. The office feels cozy and welcoming, not cold or sterile. The staff is friendly, and Dr. Swanson is so patient and thorough. He explained everything, showed me my X-rays, and made sure I understood my treatment plan. During my second visit I had a mini panic attack when the numbing cream hit my throat, I felt like I couldn't swallow and breathe and they were so kind and calm helping me through it. So knowledgeable and answered every single one of my questions with no hesitation. I had very little pain throughout my recovery and I know that is because Dr. Bell did a great job. By day 4, I could eat solid foods again and never really had to take my pain medication. They provided me with proper after care & even set up a follow up appointment to make sure everything healed well. The incisions look great and I will recommend this place to everyone! Thank you!!

He engaged me like he knew me from outside of his facility and that means a lot! You don't find many dentist/physicians out there like that anymore. Appointment, time was at 1510, didn't get called back for surgery until 1630. The lack of communication for the receptionist/other staff is poor for the patient. At least inform patient, doctor is running beyond and should be around this much time left to be called back for surgery. I'm rating this a 4/5 stars because of Dr. Bell's desk staff. Receptionist told me to fill out paper work, which in fact I completed online. Asked if I had a ride because of the general anesthesia, replied, "Yes." Kept asking me multiple times. Understand for another time to ask but not keep asking and asking. What got me is majority of staff was taking FOOD! Professionalism is key! You clearly know you have patients in the waiting room/lobby who have been, NPO/Nothing By mouth, for majority of the day. And talk about food, isn't so much professionalism while patients are thirsty and hungry. I work in healthcare myself, in a surgical department, professional and communication is important at all time. Just hoping this will help get staff to be more noticeable to ensure its important to know what to talk about and when to talk about it while patients abs family is in lobby.
