I am amazed this bank only gets two stars. I have been banking here for several years now and would definitely give them five stars. The staff is great and very helpful all the time. They even make it a point to keep their ATM machines on the outside clean which I enjoy even though the majority of the time I go inside to use the machines and say hello I would highly recommend this bank. Joke of a bank. Waited 15 min in line just to be told I can't cash my 2 party check that's been signed by my father because he isn't present. I am the owner a body shop and been signing 2 party checks for customers that require for years and never had a single customer come to tell me that they need me present to deposit their check from their insurance company. To make things even more annoying I cashed another 3 party at another branch in Torrance just 2 weeks prior and I have a history of cashing checks with multiple parties and never once had them require the other person be present. And after explaining that to them and having them verify my history with the bank they basically told me that they personally just don't want to take the liability of this check bounces lmao. So it had nothing to do with bank policies they just didn't trust me for some reason even with my history of cashing high dollar multi party checks with not a single one ever bouncing or returning. read more

Absolute WORST customer service ever! WORST!!! I came to deposit checks during the lunch hour. I have a business account with Wells Fargo and have had it for quite some time, but the sheer uninhibited volume of disrespect I and fellow customers were raided with was completely unwarranted. A fellow business customer was ahead of me in the "Business" customer line. As I approached to line up behind him, this stranger gave me a verbal warning that he was waiting for quite some time already, and that he wasn't sure if "they know we are waiting here." After waiting for a few minutes, I began to wonder too so I approached a teller by the name of "GEORGE" who obviously knew we were looking confused but did not heed our waving hands from behind his protective glass. The glass might have as well been a brick wall from the lack of service we were getting - even as business bankers. Without even looking at me, he exclaimed that if we just wait someone will call us up to the teller. After waiting and waiting...my fellow business owner and I decided to vacate and wait in the general line. I am not being prude, even as a valued business account customer, I know we have to wait and expect to wait. But we certainly did not expect the tellers to be so rude. After waiting 11 minutes in the business line, plus an additional 17 minutes in the general line...I finally made it to a teller. This is not an exaggeration. I was timing myself because I was on my lunch break and was on a schedule. The teller's name was "CARLA" or "KARLA" and I could have been wearing a black ski mask and she wouldn't have cared because SHE NEVER LOOKED AT ME even after asking for my identification. Why did she even ask for my ID if she's not even going to look at me?!?! If someone who works at this branch is reading this please look at the surveillance tapes and listen to the recorded audio from this transaction because you will be utterly disappointed at how truthful this review is. Imagine this transaction: CARLA: Hello, how can I help you today? ME: Hi, I need to deposit these four checks into my... (AT THIS POINT, CARLA TURNS TO HER CO-WORKER AND STARTS TALKING TO HER AS I AM IN MID SPEECH) ME: ...into my business checking account and I need to cash this other check. (CARLA THEN PROCEEDS TO TAKE ALL THE CHECKS AND TOTAL THEM UP. SHE THEN SAYS...) CARLA: Ok, so all of this into your checking then? ME: No, as i said, I need the top four checks into my checking and the other I would like to cash it. I said that at the start but you cut me off and started talking to your friend over there. (CARLA THEN GOT ANNOYED AND ASKED ME TO FILL OUT SOME DEPOSIT SLIPS) The rest of the transaction was awkward...something between having your ex-wife being the ring bearer at your next wedding and walking in on your parents having sex. The only light at the end of this dark tunnel was "DINO" the teller I finished with. Yes, CARLA decided to step out in the middle of my transaction for reasons never explained to me. Maybe she was going somewhere to expectorate more of her attitude. DINO was very empathetic and apologetic to the long wait and confusion. I almost closed my account today and moved to Bank of America. In closing, if you want to be disrespected please visit this branch. EVERYONE HATES THIS WELLS FARGO! I have nothing against Wells Fargo, but just this specific location. If you can avoid it, then go to another one. Experiences: - My sister just turned 18, just opened an account and in her face there were bankers pressuring her to open a credit card. If I wasn't there, they would have probably gotten to her. I even felt uncomfortable the amount of pressure they were putting on her. It doesn't end here, they remember us and since this is the only Wells Fargo in Carson I have to go there. Every Time we go there she gets that "friendly reminder" that opening a credit card will "help her" raise her credit score. -There are more stories, but you get the point. I don't expect exceptional customer service from any bank but this branch is beyond bad. Some, not all, of the tellers there are unprofessional and rude. They talk back to the customers with an attitude. Also, they charge you fees without notifying you. I haven't been to a Wells Fargo branch in over a month and this location was the last one I visited. I checked my statement today and there was a "COIN ORDERED FEE" for $3.75 which I had no idea what it was for. I called the 800 number and they explained to me that it's a fee when you exchange bills. I've been a merchant for a while and have exchanged bills for coins frequently due to my businesses. I've never been charged this fee prior over the years. The banker on the phone did reverse it for me and he spoke about the fee very nonchalantly and informed me that branches usually don't charge this fee; it just depends on the branch. Wow! I can't believe that a single branch could be so bad that Wells Fargo would continue letting this location exist. They try and make you think they're awesome because they offer you dum dums, water, and a tacky grand opening experience complete with balloons and foil stars. And in truth they aren't that bad if all you do is use an ATM Machine. But my family has had several unfortunate experiences with this particular branch and I haven't figured out why they won't just employ better training. Just today my grandmother went to the bank to deposit money into my uncle's bank account because she doesn't do the internet and can't just transfer money. So she writes his name on the deposit slip and what she believes is his account number, or at least what my uncle sent her in a text message. She proceeds to deposit a nice sum of money. For some reason the bank didn't notice that the account number on the slip didn't match the name on the deposit slip and instead belonged to some Jane Doe. They took the money anyways. I repeat, THEY TOOK MY GRANDMOTHER'S MONEY AND GAVE IT TO SOME RANDOM WOMAN BECAUSE THEY CAN'T CROSSCHECK BETWEEN A COMPUTER AND A DEPOSIT SLIP!!! So I took my grandmother back to the bank with her receipt of the deposit to get her money back. We had to explain the situation to several people. It took about 15 minutes to get everything settled. So while we are writing the CORRECT account number on a new slip, the managers are telling us it was my grandma's fault, that they give accountability to the bank patrons, not their employees. I'm sorry, does that sound like safe banking? No it doesn't. Everyone has days where their minds are just gone, they're tired, a 4 looks like a 9, or whatever. THE BANK SHOULD MAKE SURE YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER MATCHES THE NAME YOU WRITE ON THE SLIP! So if you bank with this Wells Fargo branch you should ask them to double check because if you don't, you may be out of your money until you realize how stupid they are. Also, I only felt the need to go with my grandmother because they gave my grandfather a serious issue about cashing a check from the government. Like they said he was up to something suspicious. Terrible Customer Service! I LOVE Wells Fargo, but one bad experience in this branch was enough for me not to come back to this location. Had some cash to deposit, since i didnt feel safe counting cash in the parking lot or even at the table, i just went right up to the teller without a deposit slip. Now i counted the cash right in front of her, then she counted it and counted it wrong. Now she put the money in, i look at the receipt and it was missing $1,000. Now i told her it was, and she said that i miss counted. Anyways, i told her to count her bank and check and balance. I ended up right. Now she said it was my fault for not filling a deposit slip. COME ON! i told her how much i thought it was and she only bothered counting it once and insisted that i was wrong. Anyways, she goes and balances her bank, after 5 minutes, she gives me a new receipt with the correct amount. Its ok, tellers make mistakes, but then i talk to the manager and told her what had happend and even she says that its all because of the deposit slip... Yes I was wrong with not filling out a deposit slip but... I told her how much it is, and for large amount of money, would it hurt to recount it again? Youre a teller, its your job to count money, stop being lazy and do it!. and yes... I am writing you regarding a very negative experience I encountered this afternoon at the Wells Fargo branch at 506 W Torrance Blvd. Carson CA 90745. I walked into the branch to deposit my father some money into his account (I was on my lunch break and did not have his account with me). My father is currently traveling to Mexico and needed money for medicine. I told the teller that I did not have my fathers checking account with me but I could provide her his name/email/birthdate etc...she told me I NEEDED the account. I told her that in the past (as early as last week) I have deposited money in this same fashion, she argued with me that I absolutely cannot deposit money without the account, so I then asked for the manager, she then walked to get a manager by the name of Marilu Anaya. Marilu Anaya greeted me in a friendly manner, but nonetheless was unwilling to help me. I explained to her that I have deposited money using only my fathers name/birthdate/address but she refused to help me, stating "due to the multiple accounts sharing the same name" we no longer look up customers this way". I insisted that I was only trying to deposit money, and could give her his name/address/dob, but she refused without offering any other help. I got on the phone with my father to get the account number from him, I explained to my father that I was at the bank trying to deposit him the money and how stupid the situation was. The manager (Marilu Anaya) overheard me saying "stupid" and she asked me "Excuse me" she then told me "we're not going to help you!" she blocked the window where I was still standing she told me "bye I'm not going to help you!" I was shocked that the manager of a Wells Fargo branch would treat any customer with such level of disrespect and arrogance. I am currently a Wells Fargo credit card holder. I am writing in hopes that somebody will address this manager, her attitude was subpar and downright demeaning. I am not asking for anything other than the woman be trained properly. Today Kimberly Romero really helped us today. We're having an issue with a car dealership that payed off our trade in late and now it's all a mess. Kimberly took time to help us build up our proof and documentation to bring to the dealership. She didn't have to take the time to help us be she did gladly. The customer service here is off the charts!!! I lost my ATM card and dreaded having to actually go into the bank for days, finally I ran out of cash and had to go in on Monday at around 3:30pm. My bad expectations were shattered, there was zero line, there was a guy in a suit passing out bottles of water for customers, there were lollipops on the counter, this place is cleaner than some restaurants, and did I mention there was ZERO line? The cashier Oscar was awesome super friendly he was waiting on me to fill my deposit slip out, and on the way out the same guy passing out water bottles asked if my experience was nice and if all my questions were answered... totally not the same memory of my last experience actually going inside a bank, that was about 2 years ago since the atm does absolutely everything I never have a need to go in, but if I have to go in again I'm happy this location is so awesome and that I bank with Wells Fargo.
