I've been to three treatments so far, and as of this week, I've started to catch whiffs of things, which is wild work. (What magic is this?!) Dr. Gumman is a compassionate caretaker. What I appreciate about him most is I'm an outspoken skeptic - even when my therapist recommended the treatment, I told her it sounded woo-woo and unrealistic. I met Dr. Gumman with the same amount of skepticism, and he's met each question I have with both science and evidence, which I sincerely appreciate. Everyone else in the office is warm, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. They always greet me kindly and never seem in a hurry or rush or like they're just pushing clients through as fast as they can. I enjoy the very welcoming atmosphere. I recommend Dr. Gumman to anyone who is curious about acupuncture.

I arrived on time. No one advised me that not only would I fill out paperwork (which is normal) but that the masseuse was going to leave me for ten minutes filling out this paperwork. Then she took me into the therapy room and spent another 10 minutes describing what she was going to do. No one told me when I scheduled the appointment to plan on an extra 30 minutes for paperwork and explanation. Geez, I can here for a massage and not a lecture. The room is cluttered. I mean seriously. There are empty water bottles on a shelf, like a water bottle collection. There are towels stacked everywhere. Clutter. Then the head rest / face area was broken. So it was laid on the table so my neck wasn't flat. Because of this it was also difficult to breathe into it. Doable, but just doable. There were little candles all about. But they are an open flame around people changing their clothes. That is a recipe for disaster.
