Someone close to me experienced pain and had been seeing a couselor but wanted to try something else- she heard about this place. I took her and it was like she was a different person after. Glenda the owner was so sweet, caring, compassionate, used humor, listened, and taught mindful breathing and mediation after the smashing. You get suited up for safety and prices vary based on the number and size of items you pick. Mediation is included with the price which is done after the smash session. The owner Glenda, told us why she started the practice, it was after she lost her teen daughter to cancer. She's inspiring. A healthy way to release pain and anger and "leave" it behind. We were able to see all 3 domes in an hour: Show Dome, Tropical Dome, and Desert Dome. Compared to the Desert Dome in the Omaha Zoo, these domes were smaller. Nevertheless, these domes have varied plants from different parts of the world which were amazing to see. The Show Dome has a small short bridge and a gazebo which were nice areas to take pictures. A small gift shop sells some small plants, magnets, shirts, jewelry, pins, etc. Overall, it's a good place to visit.

There are several picnic areas available for reservations and the Boathouse over looking the lagoons is available for party rentals. The park connects to the Oak Leaf trail system and has a circular drive that works well for cycling and jogging. A full disc golf course is very popular. Tons of open green space that soccer, baseball, softball, and hurling teams use. In the winter both a classic and skate skiing trail are groomed when snow is adequate. A large hill in the center of the park is popular for sledding. Please be aware of your surroundings and secure your valuables as car break ins do occur on occasion.

I'm not sure how this happened but MPS/Milwaukee Recreation got some hotshot architectural firm to renovate outdoor facilities one or two at a time and they've been transforming these neighborhood little parks into wonderful places to play. There's a century old little fieldhouse that will be expanded, the playground will be updated, the baseball field will be repurposed into an ethnically more appropriate soccer pitch and they plan a basketball court and a shady area for picnics. The neighborhood got to vote on a few different designs. As it is now, it's an okay playground and a dusty little used baseball sandlot. It is about to become much more.

There's a wonderful picnic area and and plenty of spots for enjoying the views of the lake. The lake itself is good for swimming, boating, kayaking, or paddleboarding. It truly is a great spot for a little bit of everything. We enjoyed a wonderful walk around the park area and along the lakefront and made a note to come back another day for some on the water fun. They are popular and so parking nearby (though there's additional lots a distance away) can be difficult on a holiday (we tried on the 4th of July) but for a normal weekday or weekend, there's plenty of parking and plenty of space for fun. Little Muskego Lake offers a lovely oasis for recreation in the Milwaukee metro. Get to it!

Little Muskego is a small recreational lake that is open to more than those who live along its…read moreshoreline. Every person out there needs to be respectful of those around them. There are swimmers, kayaks, fishermen, waterski users and boaters. It's a fun lake for fishing until the leisure boaters start zipping around in watercraft and jet skis. There's "no wake" zones for a reason and 80 percent of people seem to completely ignore the signs and buoys. If you see an anchored boat, give them a little space. And if you happen to be the random car that slowly drives through or parks in the middle of the boat launch with no regard to trailered vehicle, be aware of what's going on please. It's a hive of activity and I'm sure nobody wants to get hurt.

To boot, it's home to a permanent sculpture and several installations of Sculpture Milwaukee, including formerly Jason Pickelman's (RIP) Hand Heart. Great little well-used park, Catalano Square!
