Then, by chance, I discovered 'Nuga Skin Clinic' through a friend's recommendation. I went there with a feeling of desperation, but the director, Amy, reassured me, saying, 'These days, we can make your skin brand new, so don't worry.' Encouraged by her words, I started the treatment. Even though my acne was severe, after just 1-2 sessions, there was a remarkable improvement in my skin texture, and from the third session onward, astonishingly, no more acne appeared. It was amazing to feel smooth skin instead of tiny acne bumps when I touched my face during showers. I have been receiving treatments at the clinic monthly for over a year and a half now, and when I wear makeup, even acne scars are no longer visible. I spent thousands of dollars over ten years trying various skincare products claiming to eliminate acne, but I deeply regret not coming to 'Nuga Skin Clinic' earlier. Nowadays, I enjoy going out so much, and my confidence and happiness soar every time I look in the mirror at my improved skin. Director Amy not only brightened and clarified my skin but also my soul. I sincerely thank the always kind 'Nuga Team.' For those struggling with skin issues, I highly recommend going to 'Nuga Skin Clinic.' They also have state-of-the-art equipment for facial treatments that are famous in Korea. My next goal is to try their Thermage treatment for skin elasticity. I now believe that beautiful skin is not something you are born with but something you can create. Let's all become beautiful and radiant!

I am sharing this to help others make an informed decision, especially those seeking acne or pigmentation care. While treatments sometimes provided short-term texture improvement, the overall experience felt stressful, unclear, and ultimately unprofessional rather than supportive. I came specifically for acne treatment and scar management. However, care frequently shifted away from these stated goals, with repeated comments about unrelated concerns and unsolicited suggestions for Botox and anti-aging packages. As a young woman who was not seeking anti-aging care, this felt inappropriate and reflective of toxic beauty standards rather than patient-centered treatment. Communication was inconsistent. Treatment plans changed between visits with little proactive explanation, and limitations or alternatives such as medical dermatology options like retinoids or hormonal evaluation were not clearly discussed. Instead, when results did not improve, I was repeatedly told that there was another package or newer treatment that would finally address the issue. This created a never-ending cycle of upgrades and add-ons, with no clear endpoint or explanation of why previous packages were no longer sufficient. I was also uncomfortable with professionalism and boundaries. During treatments, staff frequently held conversations, including about other customers, while I was present. At times, they openly discussed learning techniques or procedures with one another, which raised concerns about training standards in a setting marketed as expert-level care. Sanitation practices such as inconsistent glove use during extractions were another concern. There was also a noticeable dynamic where spending more money, tipping, or purchasing additional packages seemed tied to receiving more attentive care, which further blurred the line between medical-adjacent treatment and retail sales. We raised these concerns calmly and respectfully, hoping for clarification. Instead, we were met with defensiveness and blame, repeatedly told that it takes more than one session despite attending multiple sessions without improvement. There was no sincere apology, clear explanation, or acknowledgment of our experience, leaving us feeling invalidated and made to feel unreasonable for asking questions. I do not believe this is unique to one business. It reflects a broader issue in aesthetic skincare where medical-adjacent services rely on recurring packages and upgrades without clear ethical, educational, or accountability standards. Acne and scarring can reflect underlying hormonal or health issues and are often more effectively and affordably treated through medical dermatology. Aesthetic care can be a personal choice after root causes are addressed, but it should not replace transparent, hygienic, and professionally grounded care. I hope this helps others make a fully informed decision. I am willing to pay for expert care when it is transparent, ethical, and focused on long-term outcomes. However, after visits I often felt anxious and confused, later realizing I was kept in a cycle of ongoing packages that benefited the business more than my care. I give the benefit of the doubt that this was not intentional, but it is still not appropriate. Surface-level aesthetic care for short-term events may be fine, but treatments advertised as long-term solutions should not be expected to fix complex skin conditions. For true long-term care, medical dermatology is necessary.

He was also cracking open sunflower seeds and eating them at the front desk. My massage started and the girl asks do I want regular oil or coconut oil. I asked the difference, she says the coconut is more, more upselling, I said the regular please. She proceeds to give me a massage with one hand, then started using her elbow and forearm. I asked her to please just use her hands that what she was doing hurt. Then she climbs on top of me--yes she is straddling me, I'm confused but don't say anything. Then she says can I use my knees on you? I said no thanks, just the "hands" please. She maybe had two hands on my for 5-minutes, the rest of the time she used one hand and continued to use her forearm. At this point I'm really wishing I was anywhere but there. The one place I said I'm hurting was my neck, she rubbed my neck, with one hand, for about 2-minutes. Oh and she kept pulling the tiny sheet down past my butt, I'm fully exposed. I don't think that's to health code. And when my head was in the face hole, which was covered with a regular paper towel, something down there smelled stale. I kept moving my face from side to side to get away from it. She also asks me at some point did I want hot stones, I said I don't think that's part of what I bought, she said yes it's Extra--more upselling. I said no thank you. The whole thing was just bizarre! It has to be the worst nonmassage massage I've ever received. I will also say yes she indeed had two hands, just refused to use them. Even though the whole thing wasn't a total 90-minutes, I didn't care I wanted to pay and leave. I go to check out, the guy is still sitting there cracking open sunflower seeds. There's a pile of shells sitting on the counter (kinda gross). There was an ATM machine there he wanted me to use, I said no thanks I'll use my card and he says he has to charge me 3%. I'm like ok cool your eating into the small gratuitous tip I was planning to leave, only out of courtesy, not because I enjoyed my massage. Mind you the girl is standing there right beside me staring at me the entire time. He asks what tip, I say $10, and she immediately huffed off. I was not asked did I enjoy my massage. Obviously I didn't as I kept telling the girl she was hurting me, stop digging your arm in me, etc. Needless to say I will never go back, I was so stressed and hurting when I left. It was completely unprofessional.

We had 6 sessions total over a 3 month period, with appointments every two weeks. We stayed out of the sun during those three months and never missed an appointment. We couldn't be happier with the results: our dark spots are 50-75% lighter, skin is tighter, smoother (less crepey), even toned, and brighter. The laser sessions can get a little uncomfortable at times, even with the numbing cream, but before and after the laser treatments, you receive services identical to a full facial, so it's very relaxing otherwise. Their laser machines are from Korea, specifically engineered for Asian skin (thinner skin, prone to scarring, more issues with hyperpigmentation and moisture loss), so we choose to go here instead of med spas with Western equipment. The technicians here take the time and care to make sure you're completely satisfied with every session and everyone is very professional. We won't go anywhere else for our skin.
