We were staying at the Element hotel next to Wellmans and Cecilia recommended we try it. The drinks were spot on and tasted perfect! Food was good and the sides were great. Nora made the experience AWESOME! Go Hawkeyes!

Be sure to ask for an itemized receipt BEFORE you pay because they don't disclose that they have a 4% ESF charge on your entire bill, and our waitress deceitfully added charges for ranch dressing that neither of our party asked for. We were not aware of either of these until after we paid and got a printed receipt. I did ask for the $1 ranch charge to be returned (got cash back) after questioning our server as it was just wrong to add things to a bill that wasn't requested. Food was mediocre and overcooked.

4th of July well spent with good friends, food and drinks. WellMan's has two locations one in west des moine ( Nicer one we went too) and one on ingersoll I believe which is downtown. The restaurant itself is very nice the patio is beautiful, rooftop is nice as well as the indoor dining area. The drinks were pretty good. I had the fruit smash, it was different but more on the juice side. I also got the nachos which I don't recommend. We got two pizzas the margarita and the buffalo chicken they were good. Overall it was a good experience. Only downfall was the drinks not being that great and the fact on the rooftop no food was allowed. They have a private parking. Our server was super sweet and very attentive. We spent about 145.00 on four drinks two pizza nachos and a sandwich. Not a bad deal at all.

This place is happening!! I would always drive by and say "wow, they look busy! I need to stop by". So I made it a point to stop by and boy I am glad that I did! This place is the JAM! The staff is very friendly and they are very welcoming. I had a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries . The burger was a good size and it was juicy. The fries were really good as well and not over cooked or dry. I sat at the bar and the staff quickly greeted me quickly. Kyra was very helpful and very friendly. I will definitely will be back to socialized as this place is where is at! See ya next time!

Chill, college town like spot. Show your ID upon entering. Came on a Saturday evening to the rooftop. Limited chairs/tables on the rooftop. Rooftop was a lot very dark. No lights except a string of "Christmas" type of lights around the perimeter. There was an actual DJ spinning top music, all genres. That was nice. Bartenders were a little busy but very friendly and helpful. Got our orders out and provided the "energy" for a late night. Def. quite a few drunken persons. Downstairs was plenty of TV's and tables and another bar area. Parking is available all around the establishment. Kitchen closed at 930PM. BOOOOOO!

Went to Wellman's on Valentine's day with my boyfriend, we were able to get seated within less than five minutes of entering the pub. The atmosphere definitely gave off the air of a sports bar and pub mixed together, there were some booths as well as bar/high top tables scattered throughout. We were also attended to by our server within 5 minutes of sitting down even with the pub being about half capacity. For our drinks we ordered a moscow mule and espolon tequila both were decent however we both agreed that the price was not worth the quality or quantity of the drinks. For the appetizer we ordered the jalapeno popper rangoons, the rangoons had a great flavor reminiscent of jalapeno poppers without much of a spicy kick but the fried wonton wrapper was far too hard and cut the gums, but it was one of the highlights of our meal. Now for the entrees, I had ordered the white cheddar mac and cheese and my boyfriend had ordered the Chicken Tortilla soup as well as the Surf and Turf bowl, none of these items were notably bad but they weren't notably good either. The steak in the surf and turf was cooked to welldone and the shrimp was overcooked, likely prior frozen as for the chicken tortilla soup it tasted similar to a buffalo chicken blend without the spice. The mac and cheese seemed to be made of some sort of white craft cheese and spiral noodles, the portion was enough to fill my stomach and have some room leftover for dessert. The last item we ordered was the skillet cookie, as skillet cookies are a favorite of mine I was disappointed with this, the cookie was slightly burnt and the portion was too small to even be considered worth the price, not to mention it being doused in at least 3 tablespoons of chocolate sauce. Overall the quality and quantity of food and drinks were consistently overpriced however the servers and atmosphere were enjoyable. Of note, the ESF charge is definitely something that will stop me from going back.

It was getting to be dinner time, so asked my wife to meet me here for my last stop. Every time we've stopped here, we have been impressed with the quality of the food and tonight was no different. I had already enjoyed some Happy Hour specials at another venue, but my wife hadn't yet eaten dinner. She ordered the Gyro & Fries (see picture) and as you might guess, I did try a couple of bites. We both thought it was a very good gyro and were delighted to see that it is the daily special each day from 11-2, so we will definitely be coming back for lunch some day. The greeter was very friendly and our server was super nice and pleasant to have as a waiter. His recommendations were spot on. The whole restaurant was hopping busy but operating very smoothly. Not a quiet place, a true sports bar ambiance. The wings were very very good. Maybe some of the better ones I've had here in town. The gyro was fantastic, and huge. Great value. The wife's flatbread was great too. Excellent food all the way around. Prices for very reasonable. Happy hour helps some of the prices for sure, but still a well priced establishment. We are fans of this place and will most certainly be back.

Close parking to the front entrance can be hard to find at peak times even with the business being adjacent to Jordan Creek Mall. There's plenty of spots, but you might have to hike a little. My guess is mall guests utilize the parking right in front of Dave & Buster's too while they shop. The gentlemen at the host station said the wait for a table would be 1 1/2 hours despite there being visibly plenty of open tables... Not enough staff to cover all the sections maybe? Or maybe they were reserved...? There were seats open at the bar so we headed that direction. The full food menu is available at the bar too. Seating is mostly larger open booths, high top tables and chairs, and the seating at the bar. Our bartender/server was nice enough. We ordered the following: 1x Cheese Stick Stack - "Extra-large crispy cheese sticks topped with shredded Parmesan. Served with marinara sauce." 1x Bar Burgers & Wings Platter. Wings with honey barbecue - "Smashed burger sliders paired with Bone-In Wings with your choice of sauce or dry rub. Served with seasoned fries and celery sticks with your choice of ranch or bleu cheese." 1x Hottie burger and fries - "Two cajun-spiced smashed burger patties, topped with pickled jalapeños, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, pickles, tomato, onions, jalapeño ranch, and a fried jalapeño." 2x Fountain drinks (Coke products) 1x Dangerous Waters Island Punch - "Malibu Coconut, Blue Curaçao, pineapple, and fresh citrus mix." As nice as our bartender was I think he keyed something in wrong with the Bar Burgers & Wings Platter. The wings were forgotten. They (him and a manager) straightened it out and adjusted our bill a little. The food was all good. The stand out to both of us was the Cheese Stick Stack. This is an awesome app with an epic cheese pull! The wings were REALLY good too... After our food and drinks we spent some time playing games. Just messing around... A good mix of old or new arcade games. Skee ball, basketball games, clown ball toss, whack a mole, water gun race, coin pushes, wheels of chance, etc. The place was clean and there were staff available on the floor if you ran into any problems or had questions. A decent way to kill an afternoon. https://www.daveandbusters.com/

IF you are trying to put together a group of less than 10 you cant utilize their offered company team building . I was informed there would have to be exceptions made to make it work. Once we figured out what would work for us we did 3 smaller groups in the middle of the week in the middle of the day. The atmosphere is loud. Even with no one else really in there. The waitress was fantastic with my group. I explained what we were doing and order the meal and play with play cards for our group. She talked me through what she was going to do and helped make sure it worked out alright. Hang onto your D&B cards, they can be reloaded. You will have to pay a small fee to reload, but no as much if you have reactivate a new card. There are some really big games. You can win "tickets" of course. I thought the place was bigger, but the gaming area is half and the eating/bar is on the other. Circling back on the food. That was a shock. It was really good. Far better than I had thought. I got the burger and was pleasantly full. Everyone in our group of 7 enjoyed their meals. Everyone left happy and full. Again my waitress was very helpful and accommodating. I want to try this again since she said the team building is actually pretty cool. I think I have an idea so that we can meet the team minimums.

Fortunately, they came through and put the game on several screens for us to watch during our visit. We started with an order of Onion Rings (see picture) - and they were the best onion rings I've had in many years. They were uniformly battered, uniformly fried to nice, crispy light brown color, and most importantly - a slightly crunchy onion inside that bit off cleanly so that you could dip it again! The picture itself does pretty good justice on their quality - and the dipping sauce was quite tasty also! For dinner, my wife ordered the Low Carb Beef Bowl w/ Pepperjack cheese & Rice (see picture) and I went with the Classic Wings split between Lemon Pepper Dry Rub and Mango Habanero sauce (see picture). We both really enjoyed the Low Carb Beef Bowl, finding it just as tasty as the name implies (all of the peppery zing of an Italian Beef with a melted cheese top - with rice replacing the bun). I was admittedly a bit disappointed with the wings, especially given the award-winning claims in the menu. My first impression and comment to my wife was that they were quite small in size. Secondly, while they tasted reasonably moist and tender, as the picture shows - they appeared to be dried out / overcooked...with meat pulling away from the bone. The Mango Habanero wings had very little spice given their name and very little sauce, with some barely wet and essentially none in the serving tray to use to add. While the wings would give me pause before ordering again, we REALLY liked the onion rings and everything else that we've ordered has been above average. The other thing I enjoy is their reasonable selection of craft beers (really liked the Chicago local Cold Time) as well as the unique cocktails. This is a solid stop.
