Went here recently with my parents to enjoy the nice day and get some fall activities in. It's nice that they let people 60+ in for free so my parents didn't have to pay, and my basic ticket was $10. The all-inclusive pass is $25 but frankly this isn't really worth getting except for families looking to use the children's attractions like the slide and bounce house. There were plenty of chickens wandering around, as well as ducks, pigs, and other assorted barnyard animals in various pens which were fun to see. The pumpkin launching thing was a blast though $10 for three small pumpkins to fire is pretty pricey. The apple cider donuts were expensive too, 2 for $5 for small donuts. Thankfully the short hayride experience was included in the admission. While this was a cute experience, I think the main draw is for families with young children who would make the most use of all the activities here or older folks who are able to enjoy it for free. Otherwise, there's not much for those in their 20's-40's to do, though I did enjoy the brief time with the pumpkin launcher. If you have kids, definitely come! Others might want to review their other options. --- Overall: 4.0 stars Pros: - Nice staff, very friendly and helpful. - Inviting family-friendly atmosphere. - Free for 60+, not too expensive for others if you skip the kid stuff. - Plenty of stuff for kids if you're here for that. Once we made it, we were a little annoyed at the speed the wine was poured at. I mean, I can drink my wine quickly, but when I'm poured a generous several sip taste, I'd like to actually take a second to taste it. Not watch all the people around me chug their wine in one sip and feel like the taster is glaring at me for wanting to swirl my wine or, gasp, drink it in 2 sips. More than once, the person pouring tastes was pretty rude until I asked a few questions about the winery. I guess once they realized I wasn't one of the average clientele just looking to get wasted they were nicer? Also, it wouldn't kill them to actually tell me what wine I am tasting and a little about it (is the chardonnay aged in oak or stainless steel? Sometimes, what wine am I tasting at all?) rather than just dumping and assuming I don't care. I'd expect wine sales would be better if they actually let people like me who might buy several bottles they like know what they are are tasting! WIth the exception of a few, I wasn't too impressed with the wineries represented here, or the fair-food selections. The band was pretty good, though. I probably won't be back.

All in all I think this has great potential but has a few kinks that need to be worked out. Note, the toilets are port-a-potties. I arrived a few minutes before the event was slated to start, and there was a young guy at the front of the parking lot who I assumed was carelessly chatting with the person in the car ahead based on how long they were taking, so I drove around. (I later discovered that he was directing traffic and served no other purpose, so I didn't understand the hold up. He wasn't checking tickets or anything to warrant the wait.) One of the owners was also directing traffic and parked the cars too close for my liking, but they barely have the space to accommodate the number of tickets they sold, so I get it, kinda :-/ The farm is seemingly small and basic. There were a few bloomed flowers (including sunflowers) but I suppose since lavender season was over, there wasn't much of anything else in bloom or anything esthetically pleasing that you'd find at a lavender farm. There was a guy singing and someone else playing guitar. Mostly covers. Meh. The other owner got up on the mic every now and then to give their story, announce the desserts, explain that they were running behind, etc., but it was extremely difficult to hear her at times. They could really use a few industrial fans under the tents. Even though the weather cooled off after the sun set, we could barely tell because it was noticeably warmer under the tents where all the dinner tables were placed. The food and what not: -- They treat you to a sample of Sly & Clyde lavender and hibiscus hard cider when you check in. It was the best thing I tasted all night. Bubbly, refreshing, and the perfect balance of sweet and dry. -- The lavender lemonade was truly Southern and super sweet. I'm Southern so I didn't mind. -- The lavender infused Laurel wine wasn't enjoyable. Based on the description ("sophisticated and unique blend with strong, sweet aromatics"), we weren't expecting something so bitter. -- The dessert trio included lavender sweet bread which had great flavor but could've benefited from some warmth because the texture was a little hard; a scone which was quite moist surprisingly and mild flavored (my fave of the 3); and and a stale-tasting cookie. -- The bread pudding was the best dish of the night. The rum glaze tasted like melted vanilla ice cream in the best way possible. The dish needed to be heated up, though. The bread pudding was a little custardy and the texture was off-putting at times. -- The charcuterie board was delicious. Everything seemed fresh and there was plenty of variety. They even accommodated my kosher friend and added chicken and turkey, so that was nice. -- The cheesecake brownie tasted store-bought. The blueberry sauce on top was incredibly salty. We were so confused. -- Something happened to the eclairs and they weren't served. Again, it was hard to hear the owner on the mic. -- The zefir was inedible. We couldn't get past the texture which reminded me of poorly mixed fondant or hardened shaving cream. -- The lemon tarts were somehow simultaneously extremely tart and sweet. -- They graciously allowed everyone to try out their new lemon sorbet which made us all pucker. For every single dish and drink (except the hard cider sample), the lavender flavor was either elusive or subtle at best. Such a disappointment. All in all, it was a great concept but poorly executed.

I filled my basket with cute handmade keychains, pens, socks and finger puppets! The owners and staff were so helpful, communicative and friendly. The prices of alpaca wool is a tad higher but not for the exquisite quality. Yet this store won't fleece you of your wallet! Since we just happened upon this cozy place you chance, we didn't get to tour the farm because there's a tour bus that you have to sign up for ahead of time! I "wool" stop at nothing to come back and visit again! The owner said to call for reservations, no pro-llama! Now that's shear joy!
