I had to find a whole new network of service suppliers, including dry cleaners, a pharmacy, a barber, an insurance agent, a mechanic, a "go-to" place for casual dining, and doctors. My wife has mild COPD and, in my estimation, was not receiving quality care from her pulmonologist, so I googled up a cross-section of pulmonologists, and dug into their competence and patient feedback. Dr. Patel shone brightly at the very top (4.9 out of 5 stars) of patents' ratings. We've seen him for 3 visits now, and I've gotten to the point that I look forward to seeing him.His affable nature and pure knowledge are a 5 star rating from us.

Once she has made up her mind about your diagnosis, she is tough to persuade that there is more data to be collected. I feel like their move is an opportunity to find a different neurologist. One thing I really did not like was not showing me scans and not explaining her findings. I think it was because she was doggedly holding on to her diagnosis. When I learned more I was really upset that she was not forthright with me. If she still needs to feel superior at this point in her life, she will always be that way. I believe her stubbornness delayed tests for two years. I probably would not recommend her or return to Dr F.

If someone gives them a low score it's because they are not listening.

Not only did she stand beside me until i transitioned to my new PCP, she stayed dedicated to my care with the same compassion, respect and kindness to all of her patients. Dr. Rooks guaranteed my prescriptions were refilled, as requested by my local pharmacy. Her staff were on top of my records release request and her nurse Angela would call to let me know. I could check the pharmacy's app on my phone to verify the prescription was going through. Everyone at Tanner Primary Care made the transition as seamless as it could be, knowing I had lost my faith in the healthcare system. They are one of four physicians I trust to attempt to put their patients care first. I respect their commitment and courage. Everyone has the compassion to be able to assist and advocate for their patients. I will miss Dr Rooks. See and the physician who she took my care over from will always be missed.

I have never found the staff, administrative or nursing, to be anything but professional and caring. As for Dr. Miller, he and I weren't on the same page or even in the same book to begin with! I know that some patients feel that the only approach he recommends is to lose weight and try Tai Chi and the truth is that exercise is essential when treating chronic pain and maintaining a healthy weight is recommended for all patients! With that said; once I stopped being defensive, argumentative even, I realized that Dr. Miller actually does show up for me and that he truly does care and is quick and willing to explore a variety of treatment methods, if I express my symptoms clearly, and in detail. He simply expects me to show up, for myself, as much as he is willing to do and that seems more than reasonable to me.

So far, the symptoms have been eliminated for 4 hours at a time by ropinirole, but that is not a fix. My L5 vertebra has a small calcified area on it that sometimes slightly compresses my nerve root. I do not want surgery, so I stayed away from orthopedic surgeons. I searched for a neurologist with a holistic approach to nerve pain, and found Dr. Xaioyan Guo. She graduated from Peking University with her medical degree, then came to the United States to obtain further degrees and certifications in nerve conduction, psychology, and clinical work, as well as certifications from the appropriate boards, agencies, and peer reviews. Her patient satisfaction surveys on Google+ show a remarkable rating of 4.8 out of 5, with over 380 respondents. In my appointment with her, she listened attentively, asked pertinent questions, and expertly checked my muscle tone by groups, my reaction times, and reflex points body-wide. I am scheduled for an MRI next week, and she will lay out a non-surgical treatment plan after that. I have great confidence that God will heal me through this doctor's ministrations.
