The rodeo, parade, and other events take place over a three day period. This has been going on for close to ninety years now and looks to go another ninety. Our favorite is ringing the bell on the old steam locomotive. The price is right for a Saturday with a little time to spare. The hours are a little short or sometimes they could be closed. This is acceptable to me, the staff is volunteer. I recommend to maybe call ahead if travelling a linger distance.

Before it started and during intermission we were chatting and catching up with our friend, reminiscing about the movie version of the story and talking about Disney and other movies from childhood, along with lighthearted teasing of our friend's hairstyle, some risqué chatter we kept vague in case anyone was eavesdropping (plus there were kids). In general we were having fun and laughing, but this was at the intermission. Our friend said that it was nice and refreshing to see heavier performers (as the three of us are all heavier set women ourselves). We all really enjoyed the production overall and we had fun, but the issue came when it was over. We were standing outside the theater by our friends car, chatting about future musicals we wanted to see and seeing about making plans. Thats when 2 men approached us, one of them claiming to be the owner. He honed in on our friend and told her that someone there with 2 teens had complained that there was disrespectful behavior, body shaming of performers, and vulgarity. Our friend tried to tell him her side, that there wasn't body shaming (again, we were all heavy ourselves so how does that make sense??), and even told him twice that my fiancée and I were there with her but this man ignored my fiancée and I as if we weren't even there. He continued to berate our friend about it being a family establishment and if we can't 'behave ourselves' that we aren't allowed back. Absolutely nothing that was said between us was anything bad, explicit, or even malicious toward the actors. To the woman who complained about us and lied about what she overheard and misconstrued it: mind your own business! If your TEENS are that fragile, keep them out of the public school system as they definitely hear much worse there. I'm sorry people having a good time and laughing was so triggering. You could have turned around and asked us to chill with our noise (again, during intermission?), but instead you had to pull a cowardly Karen and whine to the theater owner. It was our first and last time coming to this establishment, an extremely positive experience was completely ruined by these uncalled for and unfounded accusations. We will also warn everyone we know against going to this theatre. With behavior like this from an owner who can't be bothered to hear out both sides of the story and drive away new customers, it's no wonder the place can't afford to clean the dust and grime from the ceiling nor fix the multiple cracks it contains.

I must say that I was quite impressed with the orderly service and clean facilities in addition to the wide spaces inside the main lobby and the seating area. The chairs weren't that soft though. The food was equally pricy too. There was plenty of parking though around the surrounding areas.
