Review Update May 14, 2026: I am updating my review today…read morebecause Steve's Plumbing has honored their customer satisfaction guarantee and issued a refund. Additionally they also changed their misleading ads on their new website which was my main complaint. I appreciate their efforts to do the right thing --not all companies do this. I did not have an issue with the plumbing service I received. In fact, it was very good. The online booking process was easy and the technician did a good job. Original Review: BUYER BEWARE: This company has false advertising and misleading pricing on their website. It's classic 'Bait and Switch.' Do your research on BBB before booking with this company! They were trying to add so much more work than necessary to fix just one leak. Asked a retired general contractor friend for a second opinion and he bursted out into laughter calling this highway robbery. He came over with his tools, cut open the cement just where the leak was and clamped it shut with a pipe tool. Saved me $27,000 of unnecessary work. Shady shady shady! I was gonna let it go but the fact that they keep spamming my email with an invoice estimate after I've told them I fixed it already motivated me to write this review. Thanks for reminding me lol.

After doing some troubleshooting on my own--changing toilet parts, checking the irrigation system, and investigating other possible causes--we narrowed the issue down to the main water line. John responded immediately, told me he could send someone out the same day, and even gave me a one-hour arrival window. Based on the information I provided, he was able to give me a quote before anyone even came out, which I really appreciated. As promised, Jonathan arrived right on time. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He located the leak surprisingly quickly, and I was shocked at how deep the pipe was buried. At one point, Jonathan was upside down in the hole working to access it! Throughout the process, he clearly explained what needed to be done. He let me know he was going to the store to get a part and would be right back--and he was. He returned quickly and got right back to work. Once the repair was completed, he showed me the damaged section of pipe and explained the fix before covering everything back up. I was especially impressed with the care he took when refilling the hole. He carefully put the soil back in place, and by the end of the job, he was covered from head to toe in mud. It was obvious he worked incredibly hard to get the repair done right. It's been a few days since the repair, and so far everything is working perfectly. The owner of this company is responsive, kind, and most importantly, honest. I highly recommend Good Guys Plumbing for any plumbing needs. They truly live up to their name--they really are "The Good Guys"! Mahalo, John (and Jonathan) for your help. We appreciate you so much!!!

Their suggested next step was to hire someone else to remove tile and look again. Over $1,000 for two visits that ended with no diagnosis, no fix, and a damaged ceiling is not reasonable value for the work performed. The technicians were polite, but the pricing for what was essentially "we couldn't find it" twice in a row is hard to justify. If you're getting a quote from this company, ask exactly what you get for the diagnostic fee and what happens if they don't find the cause -- in our case, the answer was pay again.

However it was the opposite experience as we coordinated through emails and phone calls. They scheduled the estimator to come between the hours of 1230 -130pm being that we are busy ourselves we had our parents come and wait during those hours. The guy calls my phone at around 1130 and says they are there knocking but no one's there? I'm like dude u guys said 1230? My girlfriend calls back and the person that answers the phone says that I gave them the ok to come early? In which I did not. Anyways very poor communication and did not try to call us back admit they came early or at least get the estimator guy back to give a proper estimate at the time they scheduled. Already starting off on a bad foot. Sent emails and no communication back what so ever to make it right. Our gf's parents ended up arguing with each other that they missed the appointment when they didn't miss the appointment the dude came super early. We told her parents not their fault guy came early before scheduled time. Communication and punctuality wasn't there.
