Beautiful spring green Walla Walla onions, hard to find, were available at Paradise Produce and delicious. They also had resh Oregon berries, the delicate gems were just on the cusp of being past edible given how fragile they are once picked. But at last Paradise had them when others didn't. With so many good produce alternatives in Bend, this isn't one I think of often, but AOK for what it is. Thumbs up for the fact that they are finally wheelchair accessible at front here, old location was step up. Small paved lot at back also has accessible parking.

The REUBEN SANDWICH on toasted marble rye had Swiss cheese, the perfect mound of sauerkraut and thousand island dressing (ask them to go light on the slather) along with a bag of chips and a cookie. Top it off with the beverage of your choice -beer, wine, canned soda, etc.- and you have the perfect lunch or afternoon snack. On our way out we bought a couple pounds of the Smokehouse Jerky (Original, Pepper, & Teriyaki) and two pounds of the Smokehouse bacon. Made the car on our trip home smell great!!!! Tables outside too but it was a tad too hot the day we visited to sit outside, even in the shade. Small, family-run establishment owned by Oregon natives. The artisan meat cutter and smokehouse expert are both third generation in the industry. Such a cute little town too, all cowboy-like and worth an afternoon of moseying the main street to see the shops. Accordingly, after several attempts at contacting Hooker Creek, and my wife spending the better part of an afternoon with our HOA trying figure out what was going on, we discovered it was a simple address error on Hooker Creeks part. This is not the problem. The problem is when Christine Price from Hooker Creek finally responded and admitted to their error, I pointed out how much of our time Hooker Creek had wasted. Ms. Price became defensive, snarky and rude, unprofessional behavior I certainly don't need after an afternoon spent solving their problem! Despite a follow-up apology form letter from Hooker Creek, if Ms. Price is an example of their employee vetting process, I will not be doing business with them going forward.

Have I had any equipment issues with their equipment, yes, but a phone call was all that was needed. They offered to send someone out but their instructions were gold. Jeff and some of the crew have been there for years, if not decades. Do yourself a favor and verify the reservation a couple days prior to needing it, as I'd do with any rental place.
