Imagine my surprise when I received a "right to lien" certified letter from Hooker Creek on my primary home. I had no projects or construction in process and I have never done business with Hooker Creek! Accordingly, after several attempts at contacting Hooker Creek, and my wife spending the better part of an afternoon with our HOA trying figure out what was going on, we discovered it was a simple address error on Hooker Creeks part. This is not the problem. The problem is when Christine Price from Hooker Creek finally responded and admitted to their error, I pointed out how much of our time Hooker Creek had wasted. Ms. Price became defensive, snarky and rude, unprofessional behavior I certainly don't need after an afternoon spent solving their problem! Despite a follow-up apology form letter from Hooker Creek, if Ms. Price is an example of their employee vetting process, I will not be doing business with them going forward. read more

I've used Hooker Creek rentals for some 25 years and I've always received great service and quality products. Have I had any equipment issues with their equipment, yes, but a phone call was all that was needed. They offered to send someone out but their instructions were gold. Jeff and some of the crew have been there for years, if not decades. Do yourself a favor and verify the reservation a couple days prior to needing it, as I'd do with any rental place. read more

I had a hard time finding a landscaper to help me finish my yard project, so I decided to do it myself. With VERY little experience pulling anything, I was so grateful to Isaac for not only helping me get the trailer hooked up, but he also told me how to drive and what would be the best route to take home. I was nervous and his tips made it a smooth trip - the whole experience was actually FUN! Rented a walk-behind Bobcat for the day to do some excavating. I had great customer service to rent the Bobcat, excellent help getting the trailer hooked up and loading the equipment, and excellent follow-up service. I even messed up and needed some assistance and Jerry a.k.a. "Tater" came out and got me fixed up. A great crew at the Bend location. read more

Small business owner in Bend, Rented a forklift . The yard person Crashed the forklift into the back end of the trailer he was loading it on. At full speed. Folded the stinger, and pushed my vehicle 20 to 30 feet. In Park. They did replace the stinger, and now the Manager questions my decision to have my transmission inspected\serviced. Very luckily the transmission, u joints and rear end is ok. I've only asked them to pay for half of this inspection\service. Yard personnel are not properly trained and did NOT follow any safety rules. This could have been a major incident with a major accident claim filed. OSHA needs to pay them a visit before someone get killed. read more

Called in and reserved rental equipment, set up other subs for the job, but when I showed up to pick up the equipment they didn't even have my reservation in the system. Said they would secure an incoming piece of equipment I could pick up later or in the am, and they would call me. Never heard a word from them. This the third time they have either not stood behind their product or failed to perform. Will never engage these morons again. Don't waste your time with this company to rent equipment, G-5 and Pro have much better cultures and customer service. read more

I own a ranch in Bend, Oregon and have rented equipment many times. Being a middle-aged woman,and not extremely skilled at loading equipment, I rely upon the expertise of the rental company in loading my pickup truck for me. Yesterday I rented a small submersible pump from Hooker Creek Equipment Rental. Two men loaded it for me and sent me on my way without any words of caution. I assumed they had placed the pump against the cab of the truck on the floor of the truck bed. Apparently they had not, because I arrived home 10 minutes later and the hose for the pump was coiled against my cab, but no pump! I haul many things in my truck, and they are all secure against the cab. I returned to Hooker Creek and was told that the pump I was supposed to rent was still there. The service man apologized and said that they had three new employees who had started the day before. He gave me the pump and sent me on my way. I then received a phone call claiming that there was video showing the original pump being loaded in my truck. I went back to Hooker Creek to see the video. The footage is grainy and distant, and it is impossible to see where exactly where the pump was placed, and if it was mistakenly placed on top of the hose, and if that is why it fell out. At any rate, Hooker Creek refuses to take any responsibility for this and claims I should have gotten out of the truck and checked to be sure their loaders placed the pump safely. The employees never asked me to check, they just had me sign a slip and waved me off. Very unprofessional, and the employees were extremely unpleasant when I told them I do not feel it is my responsibility to buy them a brand new pump. They insisted on charging me and did so. I've never written a negative review on Yelp before, but people should be warned. read more

Hooker Creek put a locked gate up on a road leading from the Old Mill in Bend to Crux Brewery. This road was a major street where this small local business had most of its business come from. I have rented many items from Hooker creek but since they are spiteful and hurting local small business I will never give them any business. Hooker Creek should feel ashamed of themselves for this. Their TV commercial is a Joke... it says something about caring about local business. Right!! read more

Rented an all-terrain lift for a day. Utilized the machine for the day and then it sat there. I was unaware of the fact that I had to call in and tell them to pick it up. My fault. Received no paperwork or operating info about the machine. After about a week, I called in to see if they were planning on picking up the machine and they charged me another $1,500 on top of the original rental cost. Called in to dispute and they gave me a small credit back, but not much help otherwise. Dissatisfied with their service and the over charging of customers. I have rented equipment from Pro rental and WT and have never had any issues with them. Pro Rental actually gave me a huge break on a tractor that broke within an hr of use. No charge at all. Hooker Creek needs to reevaluate their customer service and explanations of rental aggreement and make everything clear. Include some paperwork! Not just from a conversation over the phone. read more
