Cue Pain Away. This place was a wild 30 minute ride. I went in for neck pain after a colleague at the gym recommended it. I walked in and the only words exchanged were "how long?" "30 minutes" I reply. A woman spawned from nowhere and guided me to a room where she signaled to get undressed. I did so, laid down, and the massage begun. This woman came back in and I was tense for the next 30 minutes. She put her whole backbone into this massage. I was in a constant state of pain, letting out squeals here and there. Nevertheless, she persisted. At the end of the 30 minutes, she stopped as abruptly as she started. Sweet relief. I walked out to pay and she handed me water. It was nice. I waited until the next day to write this review because my neck truly does feel a LOT better. So, Pain Away did its job, and I would certainly come back!

They used some scalp torture instrument. I had to ask her to stop. The end couldn't come soon enough. It is a gift that keeps giving.... This doctor (a lady, not Dr. Gu) asked a lot of good questions about my neck pain and had me lie face down on a massage table. She first massaged the neck muscles/tendons, and before I knew it, nine needles were in the right region. No pain whatsoever when the needles came in. I lay there for 30 minutes and then the needles were removed. I felt wonderful and so much better after standing up. Then this past night I slept soundly. I want to go back soon! Xie xie!!

I had a pain in my upper left abdomen that came and went and it was relieved during that acupuncture session. My breathing is vastly improved (especially noticeable after running or while singing); my periods are far less painful; my circulation to my hands and feet vastly improved for about a week afterwards -- I do self-massage to help it along; and the muscles in my stomach are no longer working so hard to stabilize my torso. I think I had an unusually positive initial response. I did some follow-up appointments, which were still helpful, but certainly not as transformative as that first one. But because the acupuncture got my body feeling so much better, I noticed that dairy was really impacting my digestion. Also, Melody showed me several daily self-massages. By doing self-massage and cutting out dairy, my belly feels much, much, better than it used to. Acupuncture is worth a try, and Melody is very kind and knowledgeable. I was struggling with a lot; sleeplessness, joint pain, lifelong trauma, but what lead me to make an appointment was a rash that seemed to appear out of nowhere were around my eyes that was painful and very noticeable. I struggled for about 6 months, bought so so many creams and soaps and by the time I made an appointment with Six Fishes I was traveling to and from work with 4 creams in my backpack and applying through the day for relief. I went to a dermatologist and they said it was something I'd probably never get to go away and recommended 5 month treatment of antibiotics.. ONE SESSION WITH MELODY AND 90% OF THE RASH I HAD FOR 6 MONTHS WENT AWAY (before I even started herbal medicine). After one session I slept through the night for the first time in my entire life I could not believe it, I still can't believe it. My first session was scary for me, opening my heart and personal space for someone to enter it and help me was vulnerable but Melody helped, we laughed and she has a big personality with lots of wisdom.
