I'm one of the lucky ones to receive a massage by Nick. I randomly ended up at Well Being after many years of just driving by and wow I had no idea what I was missing out on. As an avid outdoors and fitness person, I sought a massage because my body was fatigued and I was experiencing some dull pain in my knees and feet. Although I've had massages before, I wasn't a regular massage customer, that is until realizing the benefits of Nick's expertise, talent and caring approach. When I left his massage, I was literally a different person feeling stronger, relieved and downright better than ever. This state of "Well Being" has continued since. Tweaked my back (which had a prior issue) out on the slopes and needed a massage fast. This placed offered on line booking with a list of available appointments, which i found very helpful (i would actually give them six stars for this feature as I've had very mixed results trying to book up at the lake over the years). I was lucky that I could grab an appointment the same day with Nick. Nick was excellent, he asked me about what I needed (which is typical of any good therapist) and worked through the issues that was causing my back tightness. Nick is also a snowboarder who knows the places to work that get angry from boarding. The staff are kind and hospitable. The message was incredibly calming and focused on areas I wanted, as they have you complete an in-take form. You get a chance to specify areas you want your masseuse to focus on that form. Afterwards the masseuse takes a minutes to ask if you are uncomfortable with anything. Overall, I feel the experience was thoughtful of the client which made me comfortable and confident in their work. read more

I've lived in Kings Beach for almost 3 years and i only recently discovered that Well Being has yoga classes in addition to services and a whole shop in front! I finally got a morning off from work & i was very excited to attend the community yoga class offered every Sunday from 10-11am for $10. I was one of 4 in the class, 2 ladies being 65+ & Nick was fantastic with creating a class that challenged each of us. He was very helpful with poses and fixing postures; this is something that is very important to me when doing yoga. This is a perfect class to get your morning/week started. Came to Kings Beach for a much needed getaway to relax and enjoy the area. Naturally we booked a massage towards the end of our stay to help us recover from all of the activities. My husband and I booked a couples massage via their online portal which was fairly easy to use. I quickly observed they had great prices and options. We opted for the 90 minute. Upon arrival check in was a breeze and there was hardly any wait time. I had Nick and my husband had Gaylene. Both went above and beyond. Nick really knew how to find those knots and work them out, it was amazing. Gaylene applied the perfect amount of pressure and got my husband very relaxed, he was knocked out! I started having a crick in the neck a few days before our drive from SoCal to Tahoe for a quick weekend trip. I booked a deep tissue massage with Nick for my partner and a Swedish massage with Gaylene for myself and made note of my stiff neck pain when making the reservation. The day after arriving to Tahoe, we went on a hike which aggravated my neck pain, and when we arrived for our couples massage appointment later, Gaylene and Nick greeted and spoke to us prior to beginning. I never was gung-ho about massages but this was one of the best massages we have received--I definitely fell asleep because of how relaxing it was. My partner and I went kayaking the next day for over 2 hours and swam in the lake, and I did not have any neck pain!! I don't know what Gaylene did but my neck feels so much better. One of my all time favorite places to buy crystals. Every time I'm in the area I make sure to stop by and I always find something new. They have a great selection and carry more unique stones along with plenty of the staples. Prices are also very reasonable compared to some of the up charges these types of stores can have. Stones are organized by color and the open layout feels great. A small selection of beauty products and gifts can be found here as well. Wow. What can I say? Where do I even begin?? First off, making a reservation online was seamless. You can pick your masseuse based on what you need. We went with whoever was available. They called later that day to confirm the appointment. My boyfriend and I went in for a 1 hour massage today. He's got a problematic back and I just like to be put into zen mode (however, my body was hurting from a snowmobiling trek from the day before). Nick, the owner, was my boyfriend's masseuse and he took time to understand his needs and did some serious work. My boyfriend was very impressed. I had Elysse and she was a GEM! Checked in on me, told me to breathe as she was killing a knot, and had magical hands. I literally was in a zen/relaxed coma after an hour with her. Everything she did felt amazing. She ended the massage with lavender oil on my chest, neck, and head. It was to die for. We left very happy and satisfied. The rooms and entire place were clean and welcoming. Booked a private yoga session at Well Being with Nick for our anniversary. This was my husband's first time trying yoga, hence the private lesson, and Nick was fantastic! He took us through breathing and meditation and basic yoga poses and stretches. We loved this experience! Later in the week I went back for a massage and a facial. The massage with Gaylene was wonderful! I went in with a headache, and came out with the headache gone and feeling rejuvenated, peaceful and relaxed. Gaylene is a healer. Saving the best for last! The best part of my experience with Well Being was my facial with Suzanne Jordan. WOW! I have had facials all over the world and this was hands down the best facial of my life. She is excellent! Nice and quant spot to seat 5 ladies for their treatments. We did the 60 massage/30 facial package - (5 max for rest area... quant!) I got Alex for my massage! We found Wellbeing on yelp, gave them a call, and made an appointment for two 1-hour massages. We planned it so that it would happen after our day of skiing and before our romantic dinner. It was perfect. Sarah and Nick are amazing! They have wonderful energy and technique. They must have had a radar bc they were able to hone in on the muscles that most needed the attention.
