Thanks Michael, for the great customer service you gave me. When it's time to raise the cabin, you will be dialed up again!

We had a consultation with Michael to explore the possibility of excavating a basement under our…read morehouse. Michael walked us through the a variety of options and rough estimates of the all-in-costs and timelines. His information led us to buy a different house instead of building out a basement. He also provided us with fantastic information about how to assess concrete in basements in Portland, as well information on build years and neighborhoods that frequently had suspect basements. His "concrete school" lessons were so valuable as we sought a new house. I am certain he saved us tens (hundreds) of thousands of dollars by preventing us from making offers on homes with suspect foundations or at least building repair costs into the offers. One house we turned down ended up having sewage leaking into the finished basement! If we do any excavation or concrete work in the future, Michael will 100% be our excavation and concrete guy.

They made an oversize bid for work that did not need to be done to jack up the price, and my insurance allowed the fees, but they cut corners everywhere they could and did not do the work that was needed. I had to call them out on it so many times it became a daily review of the work to make sure it wasn't shoddy. they abandoned the job for a full month and after many attempts to reach the foreman, I called the owner to complain. They stated they were waiting on tiles, but I still didn't have walls in my kitchen and the drywall was ready to go. My kitchen floor sags and the marmoleum is cut all over in weird places. the trim is falling off. there are many patches left where they didn't paint the walls. I am constantly scraping caulking off of walls and trim where it wasn't cleaned up. there is no insulation in the outside walls. they didn't reattach doors. they just left one day. I don't speak Russian by my phone can translate and some of the workers were quite cruel about my disability and my gender identity, as well as racist towards other people. -000/10 do not recommend.

The whole project took one month, but that was with time off for the holidays in between. The work was, as usual, detailed and even better than our vision. I would highly recommend Edward's crew for bathroom and kitchen new builds and remodels as that's what we've had him do at our other properties. His value is easy to see throughout the whole process.

I had concerns over a basement wall and the work done by previous owners of my home. I called MCE…read moreand they agreed to send over an engineer. They were upfront about the cost of an assessment. Unfortunately, when the engineer arrived he concluded that the walls needed to be opened up completely for him to provide the assessment and that I should call them to come back again once I opened up all the walls. So I have basically paid hundreds of dollars for 20 minutes of their time and them to say "We don't know." It would have been nice to have known that completely open walls were necessary to do the eval. The only other feedback is that the engineer was polite, professional, and on time. My two stars are for the waste of time and money which i don't have a lot of. I have since worked with a couple other companies that were much better with communications and gave me great evaluations.

They are honest, open, communicative, and work like crazy to get the job done! Bill does really high quality work - he always explains in detail how he's tackling the job and sends a ton of photos so you can see what he and his team are doing at every step. One of my retaining walls (see photos) is in a really precarious location on a public sidewalk next to a busy street, but Bill and his team were able to handle it like true professionals. He estimated the work would take a few weeks, but after assessing the situation he decided that they needed to get the sidewalk cleared as quickly as possible so that people could walk by, so he brought in reinforcements and finished this wall in three days. Three days!!! No exaggeration - the "before" photo was taken on a Thursday, and the "after" photo was taken on Saturday! I have no idea how he pulled that off, but I so appreciate that he worked so hard to get the wall done quickly and cleaned up the area perfectly so that my neighbors wouldn't get mad at me :D Long story short, I feel really well taken care of by Bill and Sue - they treat you like family and I absolutely love my new "hawaiian style" wall :) Mahalo Bill and Sue!

Everyone I dealt with was professional, courteous, and took great care to keep my home as clean as possible--especially impressive considering most of the work was done through a 4' x 4' closet floor opening located at a far end of the house.
